While SLEEP POWDER and DISABLE were probably enough to take down the Haunter that wandered into the path, Sénon was weary of trickery from the species due to growing up in Kanto.

Not to mention the present day Haunter he had was trouble enough. Just to make the capture easier amaterasu assisted with an INFERNO.

"Hm?" He turned back to Adrian once again showing a latency in registering what was said to him. "You say something Mal?"

It wasn't everyday he got to nap on the job, it was more like every other day.

There was a lot of downtime that came with being a ranger.

Take today for instance; a snorlax blocking the way out the city might have seemed like a cause for a quick action but really, there was nothing to do but wait.

He laid back in recline, with his hands behind his head. The sun made glints of color and projections of prisms (from the right angle) bouncing from the multiple megastones that made up his bracelet.

At the center of the circlet of marbles on bright red string; a mysterious charm.

He was at peace, and taking a page from the snorlax he'd nearly fallen asleep under the sun himself.

A younger voice snapping him from the limbo of drowsiness. "This guy?" The ranger lowered his shades to have a look at the one approaching. "No, this one's wild. Sort of."

An Elgyem come from the tall grass and with Tsukuyomi lacking for any actual attack move the ranger reached for his Pokéballs for back up only to be informed by the Kadabra that the Elgyem, like the Duosion before it, lacked for attacking power.

In fact it seemed to be that the Elgyem couldn't attack at all, which explained why it was eager to join into companionship with a human.

Maybe it was the budding familiarity or perhaps he was so overheated that he'd come full circle but the heat was started to have less of a calming effect, and the Head Ranger was starting to give off some heat of his own.

A fish swimming through the air was an uncommon sight.

It must have been using its psychic power to push it through the air.

He was sleeping with a time fairy yet the telekinetic fish could still trigger some awe in him. His back of his hand began to itch as the Bruxish began to be out of catching range.

He would have like to have caught it, but it just wasn't worth giving up on another unown so soon.

A fully formed Reuniclus made way into their family fray, only to be a put down quickly by a JAW LOCK and an encore from Drednaw.

There wasn't many a dark-type move between his four rock-types here but to be weak attacks of a tank like drednaw, it was a bad match up for the psychic.

Working in tandem Inkay and Baby would begin a spree SLEEP POWDER and DISABLE stripping away the power and consciousness of any wild one they turned their attention to.

A Golett was added to their list of defeated pokémon and then targeted by premiere ball.

He almost missed the pointed look Cait gave him.

In their time together they had come to develop a keen sense of non-verbal communication with one another.

It was borderline telepathic.

Her subtle side-eye told him in no uncertain terms, "you're being obviously quiet Sénon; be charming-" she was displeased with his performance. "or you know what I'm going to do."

Internally, he was startled by the stakes at hand; charm FERNANDO SILPH or suffer a rupture in his tunica albuginea (he'd looked it up once).

Stalling for time he spread jam thick on a bread slice to curb his sweet tooth before putting in his mouth whole and chewing it until the end of time.

It was harder to show up for these things when you had no interest or connection to the pokémon.

Rare was that was for Sénon these guys just didn't do it for him.

Just as likely he was itching to get out here and finish this Ranger's duty because he had somewhere else to be.

It was movie night, he and cait alfric watched movies a lot of nights but tonight was one of their designated movie nights (90's Night) and the movie was a real horror dud ripe for throwing popcorn at the screen which he always did and questioning the plot and character motivations like she did.

After last weeks showing he wasn't honestly expecting lightning to strike twice, but he intended to put the time in all the same.

A Misdreavus came about from the tall grass taking a sudden liking to Kadabra. First it shot him a MEAN LOOK and then sang him a PERISH SONG before rubbing herself against him in glee when he didn't resist.

Seemingly the ghost-type understood being captured meant being close to the psychic-type because after her displays for affection, she became an easy catch for a premiere ball.

Hearing some small commotion outside the crater he was working in Sénon made his mind to go up and see who was in the area, just in case.

He was too meddlesome not to.

Turning his attention back to the fight he found a wandering dragon laid out before his four rock-types.

Not one he had a eye out for, Zweilous and their line had nasty attitudes, real dragon personalities. But it was pretty busted up and could use the healing only a pokémon center could provide.

He'd missed one during the swarm weeks back but seeing a Munna before him he wouldn't miss the isolated chance to catch one.

With Baby being rested enough he and Inkay would use SLEEP POWDER and DISABLE ad nausem until the little pink pokémon was unconcious and ready to be secured.
