'Rustboro Clocktower'

As old as 'he' was, Gan lived each day with the innocence of a new born.

Pure, eager and seemingly with the emotional-memory of a goldfish Gan existed in now and the pains of the past didn't reach him. In fact the only things he could always remember was his human and other pokémon, in particular his teammates. Even now squiggling underneath a jammed gear he happily recalled what Senon told him. "Listen to the people here and don't take anything." Being at Senon's side since childhood Gan naturally developed sticky-fingers and his ability to transform only made that habit easier to exacerbate.

^"Guhuhhh" Gan emoted in pride everytime he found a wayward piece of metal or thick branch stuck between the gears. In the free spaces where room allowed he would transform to take the forms of his teammates to better do his job.
Kiri (

) being the longest lived of Gan's teammates she was also the easiest to transform into and her sharp beak and strong jaws made it easy to pry, pull or snap anything stuck in the gears that wasn't supposed to be there. When all the gears in his section moved smoothly interlocking with even more gears Gan did a victory 'jelly dance'.

As one of the larger pokémon on the job when there were no more spaces he could fit into Gan returned to his original form collecting the scrap metal and other debris he and the others pulled free into his body. He made sure to get rid of it as waste, happy to obey Senon's order and not take anything, except one gear he found on the ground.

Hopefully, it wasn't important and Senon wouldn't be mad.

Klefki's jingle echoes pleasantly as it slips inside the broken clocktower. Its collection of keys has grown considerably since Gavin's acquisition of it, and today it sports a few temporary additions: delicate things that require a delicate touch.[break][break]

As it floats past an amorphous pink thing, the Klefki glows as if daring theft of its precious cargo. It was a bit of a PRANKSTER itself, and appreciated such mischief, but not when it involved its personal possessions. Hypocritical, perhaps, but who could expect much of a sentient keyring?[break][break]

Unhindered by the other Pokemon, Klefki busies itself with repairs, using the varied shapes and sizes of its keys to improvise solutions to problems.

the shroomish doesn't even have any arms to do any actual repairs to the thing. it looks so out of place as well, with the other pokemon that look like they fit the setting.

it doesn't bother the shroomish though. nonchalant at her finest, she does her work at the beat of her own drum without a care in the world. with a box of supplies strapped on top of her head, she waddles from point a to point b until she reaches a place where she can pass off the cargo to another pokemon.

that's her job. she's just a courier in this set of cogs in the wheels. it's not much, but it does make work exponentially faster with her presence there.

Klink had been enlisted as a temporary fill in for the clocktower while it was being repaired. It was among dozens of Klink that would drive the clock's machinations, but it was just a temp fix until a more permanent fixture could be arranged...

Or so it had believed, but as hours turned to days, and days to weeks, and so on, Klink became less and less certain of its anticipated discharge. Had it been forgotten? Surely Adrian would have come to collect at some point... Klink need only have faith.

Months go by, and still it keeps turning. Some say Adrian's Klink is there to this very day, waiting for a master that will never return, wondering if it was forgotten or purposefully abandoned to this misery.

But at least the clocktower was operational!

mousse is smaller than a klink, which makes her small enough to sneak past the brand new replacement and reach a misplaced spring. she grabs it with her hands, and is left to think of how best to pocket it. she doesn't have actual pockets, not like the morpeko that her trainer just introduced to her days ago. sure, she has her

how did this clock not have electrical features of any sort? how the hell was he supposed to entertain himself now?! gigi dumped him here to suffer. that evil human knew that the clock was ancient - like cogs and gears ancient. who used such archaic equipment in this day and age? they shouldn't be fixing the clocktower. instead, they should be converting it to something cool and digital and not prone to rusting.

[break][break]well, on the bright side, at least he wasn't as royally screwed as the klink. at first, captcha didn't even notice it was a living gear until it blinked. hm.. what if he confused the klink? that would be a funny prank to pull. although, that'd mean even more work. and that was a huge no-no. the rotom wanted to get away from this as soon as possible. arceus he missed unova.

[break][break]so, captcha did as he always did: completed the task by using the bare minimum amount of energy using. rather than fiddle around like some mechanic, he was videotaping the performance of the other pokemon and the clock itself. he marked areas in the recording that were errors caused by humans or would need to be maintained. [break][break]

he did abandon the recorder at one point as boredom grew so he attempted to fiddle with the gears by phasing into them. the best he could do was get them to spin with his electricity. yay, how exciting (please note the heavy sarcasm). after testing out a few of the gear's functionality (making sure they could spin and whatnot), captcha returned to the camera given to him by a human worker bee.

[break][break]this was like recording paint drying. ughhh. at least give him something more interesting and entertaining to tape! there was nothing fun about this, about any of this.

Well, if Ventus here wasn’t so stubborn lugging the small fan he possessed along… this would have been a simple matter.

But then again who said that Rotom weren’t stubborn? Having to leave the fan he ‘owned’ for just five minutes (which felt like an eternity to him to be fair) the little dual-type Pokémon sighed. Abandoning the electrical appliance just before the place where there were a few jammed gears that needed unblocking, the now-‘pure’ Rotom made a beeline towards the much larger object and took ‘control’ of it so to speak.

While Ventus here was used to fans, freezers, washing machines, and lawn mowers—imagine the insanity if they could take over clock gears. That was a sight to see, definitely.

The Rotom soon got to work, proceeding to ‘unclog’ what gears were stuck by ‘taking control’ of the entire thing. Slowly, surely… the clock began to tick once more…
