LATE SEPTEMBER — as ultra wormholes are sighted in the seas of hoenn, the region begins to be tainted by poisons, the source of which is unknown. parts of hoenn's seas darken with toxic waste, like oil spills. for this reason, head scientist, lucas lane, has entrusted volunteers with a special antidote formula that he has helped create with elite four, thomas benoit's sludge sample.[break][break][break]

here, in route 120, beedrill begin to swarm. some may believe it to be an aggressive beekeeper's hive, but the beedrill seem to be affected by poison.[break][break][break]

With a stomp of its foot rampardos sent an ancient power rippling through the earth. It tears the earth asunder, coating each fragment with a thin white aura. Swinging its head in the direction of the beedrill swarm rampardos sent the rocks soaring through the air in their direction.

It is as if they're in a frenzy, and the Beedrill under the strange effects of this poison are overcome with rage and fear. Stormy has volunteered along with several other capable trainers to handle the situation. Her expression is grim and deadpan in her approach, her hand at her belt.[break][break]

The moment the Beedrill collapse on her and her team, she releases her Torkoal. WHITE SMOKE pours from Pyrris' body as soon as he is released. It engulfs her group and she glances over her shoulder.[break][break]

"Stay out of reach of their spikes, spears, whatever the hell you call them! Last thing we need is to be treating each other for poison. Watch each other's backs!"[break][break]

For the most part, it seems that the barrier of WHITE SMOKE keeps the mega Beedrill at bay. For now.[break][break]

The incessant buzzing of the beedrill hive was something that simply couldn't be ignored, their sickly, corrupt state were noticeable even by an untrained eye. By Circe's side, her tiny morelull shuddered, its caps releasing a wind of spores to soothe the rampaging bees, or any unsuspecting allies who caught a whiff of the attack.

kyle arrives with his pokemon, getting to the emergency as he always does.

the ribombee releases its pollen puff across the field, spreading it at the contaminated area to alleviate the damage done by the poison. whether it calms the aggressive swarm of beedrill or not, it calms them down at the very least.

kyle sighs with relief at the sight of the mega beedrill reverting. the situation is defused at the very least, thanks to the antidote, though there's still more work to be done right after this.

dominic is familiar with the pokemon as much as he's familiar with their sting. against his better nature, he flinches away. running isn't really an option either, as the swarm closes in around him and a few others. dominic tosses out a capsule and orders the pokemon to attack.

"BITEY BITE," he growls to the pokemon. the houndoom snarls in response but stays almost entirely still as flames surround its exposed fangs. time seems to stand still for a mere fragment of a second, and then everything moves quickly once more; fiery teeth launch into the smoke and encircle around the targets.
