The matter of perspective comes into play and, just as it does, a nearby Darumaka's true identity is exposed and Razz is off to help it. Remiel stops in the middle of their route and observes the encounter for a moment, particularly when the Decidueye is summoned to stand its ground against the other Darumaka. Then he turns when he catches the flicker of fire out of the corner of his eye... only to come face to SCARY FACE with a Charmeleon.[break][break]

A puff of SMOKESCREEN. A ghostly shockwave from a powerful SHADOW BALL. When Razz returns to see Remiel reemerge from the slowly fading haze, he will find him holding a newly occupied ball in his hand, waiting for it to finish shaking. "Found a new friend, I see?"[break]

Curious about the red dust Razz brushes a bite more off to see the white fur underneath and icey brows? Wait it was at that moment that he actually pays a bit more attention and realizes that this thing wasn't a fire type like the others. "You're one of those varients aren't you?" he couldn't help but ask which makes the Darumaka to jump back with some teary eyes, "No no it's fine I personally like that you're not one," he tries to reassure her figuring the reason why she was covered before was trying to blend in. He takes out a pokeball, "How about we take you out of this lame place for something better?" he offers to which she nods and goes into the pokeball.[break][break]

With that done he decides to go back to Remiel with Meowstic going back on his shoulder as he near trips over a Numel, Link gliding by his side to make sure his trainer doesn't fall over. It seems Link offers to fight the Numel for Razz to catch but Razz just shakes his head as it seems the fire pokemon's oblivious nature made it so they didn't even noticed they were tripped on. When he was back with Remiel again he nodded, "Yeah an ice type Darumaka of all things, I can't recall if this was one of those alolan or Galarian variants, either way its a bit of an odd place for it to be," he comments as he puts the pokeball on his belt noting the smoke lifting, "Any problems here?"

A Toxicroak had leapt out from a small opening in the side of the canyon, snatching the floating teacup from the air and attempting to desperately drink the ectoplasm within it after it lands. Remiel stops to watch the altercation with a nonchalant stare. The Toxicroak is clearly dehydrated and weak. But Earl Grey denies him the taste of his ectoplasm, hanging onto the teacup's handle even as it is turned upside-down over the frog's open mouth.[break][break]

Then, suddenly, the Sinistea disappears in the blink of an eye... then reappears with PHANTOM FORCE, knocking the Toxicroak against the canyon wall so hard that it doesn't dare get back up again. Remiel tosses an empty ball, and its form is soon devoured by a burst of light. He then looks over to Razz. "Ice-type Darumaka are native to Galar. The one you captured was likely a released pet... or a crossbreed."[break][break]

He picks up the captured Toxicroak, then looks up to assess their surroundings. The trail up ahead forks into two different directions. One appears grassier than the other, interspersed with pine trees and bush. The other is a rocky climb that borders a wide, canyon river. "Which path should we take, ranger?"[break]

"Right galar, eventually I'll have these pokemon memorized, think I've mentioned before but Alolan and Galar pokemon are very new to me, but thanks for the info," he thanks even if slightly disappointed that he didn't have it down yet. He has been doing his best to learn these knew pokemon but with work and now the situation going on he's been keeping busy. Though with the inclusion of them in his party such as Link now he was getting better. [break][break]

At the question the one eye ranger gave both a quick glace and a ponder before gesturing toward the more grassy terrain, "I'd say this way, as with the trees it would seem easier to hide in, and if our anomaly does what it can to remain as such maybe it would prefer such a spot?" he suggest heading in said way. There may be a slightly alternative reason to this, but its not like he was going to reveal that. [break][break]

With that decision made he went a bit ahead stopping at the sound of a bark freezing up some at the sight of a Growlithe coming from the bushes. She looked small and injured Razz figuring that she might have just recently went on her own to try and become strong. The injuries seemed clear about that, and even now despite them she seemed to watch to challenge them which just made Link chuckle as the Growlithe tried to attack with CRUNCH. [break][break]

Link waited a beat before moving on his own and used LEAF BLADE for the pup to chomp on instead of him before pushing it away. The Decidueye looked back at his trainer to see if he had any order but it seemed they were frozen in place for some reason. In the end Salem gave an order to Link which did throw him off a bit but it was common knowledge amongst Razz's pokemon that the Meowstic knew their trainer best so he followed. Trapping the Growlithe in place with SPIRIT SHACKLE, not like the pup had enough strength to fight in a proper battle anyways. Salem seemed to say something to Razz which got him out of his little trance with a, "Tch," though despite his dislike of the type it did bug him to see the puppy pokemon injured, so he brought out a pokeball to catch it, with the intention to heal it later.[break][break]

Remiel doesn't dispute the decision. A 'bigfoot' could just as well hide amongst the trees as it would among rocks and caves. Who knew? It was more than likely just an imaginary creature, after all.[break][break]

Not long after walking ahead, however, the pair were attacked by their own respective four-legged creature. The Pyroar that lunged at Remiel from a ledge up above certainly came as a surprise. Thankfully, Earl Grey had sensed the attack just in time to swoop in with a PROTECT.[break][break]

Rebounding off the invisible barrier, the lioness didn't hesitate to find her footing again and leap back with a FIRE FANG. The attack missed when the teacup swiftly entered her PHANTOM FORCE, and the lioness was blindsided when it returned in a shadowy charge.[break][break]

After tossing an empty ball at the proud (but unconscious) creature, Remiel turns back to Razz. "Were you sheltered from the regional variants in the past? Surely you've at least read about them." He inquiries.[break]

There's a rustle in the bushes nearby. A seemingly humanoid shape rises within the shadow of the trees stubbornly growing in this arid climate. Could this be it? The legendary bigfoot? No, absolutely not. Instead, a Bewear lumbers out and opens its arms toward Remiel. With a disdainful look, the prince summons his teacup with a flick of his fingers. "Giga Drain." And the butler Sinistea complies.[break][break]

The Bewear attempts to TAKE DOWN the little teacup as its energy is being sapped, but the efforts prove to not be effective. Before long, the bear crashes into the ground with a loud thud, at which point Remiel crouches down to tap his empty ball against its forehead. "Hmm... I do believe this might have been what the reports have speculated on: a Bewear. I'll take it to the ranger's station for further analysis."[break][break]

He rises and their conversation continues as they move forward, though he can't help but cast a suspicious look at Razz. "You're giving me a Growlithe? For payment?" He inquires, certainly willing to take the ball from Razz's hand but not doing so quite yet.[break]

Having never seen a Beware up close before the Ranger was a bit surprised on just how big it actually was. Which could seem a bit intimidating as the thing would try to hug you as hes read its famous for doing. Yet the other just handled it with ease as if not threatened at all. With his focusing on the bear he didn't even noticed the Vulpix walking across his blind side. Link seemed like he was about grab his trainer's attention before Salem jumped off Razz and onto Link to shush their face. Razz choose to ignore their bickering for the moment. "Is Beware uncommon enough in this area for it to be the anomaly?" he couldn't help but ask. [break][break]

Though after asking about the Growlithe seemed seemed confused by the suspicious glance. "Payment? I'm not paying you for anything...?" he lingers a bit on that clearly not understanding, "Or wait are you asking what I want for payment?" he questions again clearly confused. If most his face wasn't covered by the headband the bewilderment would be more clear.

Catching itself just before smashing to the ground, the Sinistea angrily huffs and prepares to retaliate. Before it can, its master beckons it back with a whistle as he reaches for a luxury ball clipped to his belt. "You've done enough, Earl. Allow Limitanei to show us their skill."[break][break]

After tossing the ball and summoning a tiny legion of odd pokémon, the Chimchar attempts to attack in a fiery wheel once more... only to be COUNTERED by their phalanx formation and promptly struck down. Impressed by the monkey's tenacity, Remiel pulls out an empty ball and tosses it.[break]

"Well all we can really do is see if any more reports are made after it," Razz suggest when the other gives his comment about the Beware though the ranger isn't too sure if they've solved it already. Though as the other didn't seem to make much comment about the pokemon he was offering Razz gave Salem a glare as the cat made a comment of him experiencing exactly what his brother and pokemon did when he refused something. "Oh no, I dropped it," he comments nonchalantly as he tosses the ball at the other since they seemed hesitant of his gift, so Razz decided to be like his pokemon and just force the gift. [break][break]

Though joking was quickly over as the two were attacked, Remiel with his monkey problem while Razz and his pokemon were fired at with a blue fire of sorts. Salem was quick to bring up a LIGHT SCREEN to block the attack as LINK used PHANTOM FORCE to teleport behind whatever it was attacking them to strike back. Razz recognized the pained cries of his pokemon as it was most likely hit so he was quick to toss a pokeball despite the blue fire from an INFERNO blinded him.
