Its power is proof that the Megalopolans had no choice but to flee their world to look anew. Even now, their choice causes a ripple across worlds, allowing the Pokemon of Darkness to pillage as it pleases. [break][break]
With no one to pry it off, Necrozma continues to force itself onto
Stormy Silph’s
MOLTRES. The bird fights valiantly but its fire starts to die down as its strangled into submission. Stormy can feel her own powers wane as her Pokemon comes closer to dying. Dark streams of light envelop the bird, eating at its life essence to fuel Necrozma’s hunger. [break][break]
SHADOW BLAST!

Cillian Quinn’s
SHADOW LUGIA strikes from behind. The last of its power goes into exacting its revenge. The shadow move comes throttling down on Necrozma with little regards for catching Moltres in the crossfire. It strikes true and the Ultra Beast withstands the attack, unfaltering for a few moments before the continued blast sends it flying backward. However, the attack does not end there, it continues to pelt Necrozma’s prior position and hits Moltres as well. [break][break]
Stormy’s
MOLTRES revitalizes itself in a sudden flare of yellow flames the moment the Necrozma is torn away. The sudden outburst and following
SHADOW BLAST result in a deadly mixture that puts out its flames permanently. Its eyes close as the bird lays down, cold and dormant.
SHADOW LUGIA’S malevolent shadow energy crackles over its lifeless body. [break][break]

Kyle’s
COSMOEM can feel the energy between the
SHADOW LUGIA and
MOLTRES. It’s ability to shun either one of them away with
COSMIC POWER is a testament to their might as Legendary Pokemon. Watching them fall in combat solidifies its assumption that none of them can beat Necrozma. Hesitantly, it approaches, prostrating itself before its maker. Necrozma brushes itself off before grasping the
COSMOEM. Its inner light erupts as the darkness ensnares it. [break][break]

Like those that survives Necrozma’s attack,
COSEMOEM is forced to undergo evolution. The bright spurt of light wraps around its small frame, manifesting into flesh as strong as steel. When it settles down what’s left is something that has a bearing resemblance to
SOLGALEO. Upon closer examination it becomes obvious that this is something more. Behind the constantly illustrious sunlight is the
PRISM ARMOR that constitutes Necrozma’s body. Necrozma’s influence is uncanny. [break][break]

Together, Necrozma and
DUSK MANE SOLGALGEO are set to conquer Hoenn without contention. If Rocket and the League’s Legendary Pokemon cannot stand up to it, who can? [break][break]
The answer comes from the sea. The
HOWL from Katherine’s
POOCHYENA is the last call required to
summon the otherworldly leviathan. A sun colored
NIHILEGO rises from the ocean’s depths and stands before her. It doesn’t attack her outright, not at first, but instead lingers for a few moments, as if assessing the situation. Its lack of eyes makes it impossible to read but it seems calm. At least until it swells up several sizes and swallows Katherine whole. [break][break]
The poison within its cap swells into a noxious cloud of ink that swirls around her body. But it doesn’t erode or burn at her like the other
NIHILEGO that have invaded Hoenn. This one is much calmer, molding around her body, encapsulating her in the safety of the Pokemon’s bulb. It coagulates into a purple gel that she breaths in rather than drowns in, infecting her body, transforming her biology into something that can survive. Their consciousness melds together and an overbearing will to survive courses through her nervous system. What comes forth is a combination of the two, a black swirl of tentacles created from their
BATTLE BOND. [break][break]

A new challenger enters the fray and a contest of darkness versus toxicity is waged with Hoenn’s future put on the line. [break][break]
Necrozma sicks its newly created
DUSK MANE SOLGALGEO on the duo as it recovers from
SHADOW LUGIA’S attack. The Ultra Beast approaches at a daring speed, leaping high into the sky to smash into them with its
SUNSTEEL STRIKE. When it hits, it rocks their world, jostling Katherine inside as the
NIHILEGO to shifts its innard to protect her. The physical contact allows the
NIHILEGO to wrap its tentacles around the
SOLGALEO and cover it in
VENOM DRENCH. [break][break]
Against a
STEEL type Pokemon the attack would be useless but not
NIHILEGO’S BATTLE BOND mode. It’s
BEAST NEUROTOXIN bleeds through the
PRISM ARMOR and poisons the
SOLGALEO to its core. The poison proves so potent that it weakens Necrozma’s hold on the
SOLGALGEO, allowing it to turn with one final move.
DUSK MANE SOLGALEO ejects a long, multi-colored prism from its forehead. It puts everything on the line, including its ability to open Ultra Wormholes. [break][break]

The item explodes with an intensity so great that the light it emanates dispels the Necrozma’s
DARK ROOM. Slateport is suddenly visible but everyone present is blinded by the attack. No one can recognize each other until the darkness returns. And when it does, it’s already too late. [break][break]
Numerous Ultra Wormholes sprout up as
SOLGALEO plays its final trump card: a call for help. [break][break]
[break][break]
Ultra Beast of different species pour in from the Ultra Wormholes. All of them prove much smaller and much more tame compared to the ones the Megalopolan’s used but that works in their favor. Each one pairs up with a nearby trainer as they come to realize why they were called. The only issue is that none of them seem to enthusiastic to rise up against Necrozma. They are indifferent to the fate of this different world. [break][break]
There is one exception. [break][break]
A purple portal opens up beside Necrozma. The Ultra Space
LUNALA is the only one to respond to its brethren’s call. It strikes the Necrozma with its impressive wingspan, sends it flying backwards. In response, the Necrozma fires off a
PHOTON GEYSER that makes the Lunala regret stepping into Hoenn. Its body is sent sprawling next to Valerio and convulses as it tries to pick itself up. [break][break]

The
MOONBLAST from Valerio’s
SWABLU is enough to revitalize the beast. Exposure to the moonlight, an phenomenon not found in Ultra Space, spurs something the Lunala is unfamiliar with. It concentrates this power into a wide spread beam that tunnels in on the Necrozma. Its
MOONGEIST BEAM boasts a power so impressive that it’d be classified as a Legendary Pokemon by this world’s standards. [break][break]
A duel breaks out between the forces of
LUNALA and
NIHILEGO against
NECROZMA and a weakened
DUSK MANE SOLGALEO. It seems to come to a stark draw, slightly in
LUNALA’S favor due to Necrozma’s fatigue. The countless efforts of the trainers present is slowly mounting into just the edge they need. But these are not the only combatants. [break][break]
Cillian Quinn’s
SHADOW LUGIA eventually succumbs to its wounds, not unconscious — a testament to its spiteful tenacity — but unable to move any further. In its place,
Stormy Silph’s
MOLTRES reignites with the same vicious pink color of
SHADOW LUGIA’S hateful eyes. Black flames sprout from its body as it careens with a newfound life.
DARK FLAME MOLTRES enters the fray and its
FIERY WRATH is just the power they need to weigh the scales in their favor. [break][break]

The black flames cause Necrozma to
FLINCH and in that window of weakness is opportunity.
LUNALA fires another
MOONGEIST BEAM that manages to pierce the
DARK ROOM. Moonlight bleeds from the sky and illuminates the Pokemon for all to see. Its blue skin reflects the bleak white surface of the moon as it enters its
FULL MOON phase. At full power, it can unleash its most powerful attack:
MENACING MOONRAZE MAELSTROM. [break][break]
[break][break]
Finally, the tides turn and the mighty Necrozma seems to have met its match. The combined efforts of everyone present, both those alive and deceased, those from this world or the next, they all culminate to fall this undefeatable foe. A shred of hope surfaces as these three new Pokemon corner the strongest Ultra Beast with their newfound powers. [break][break]
It is said the greater the despair the sweeter the victory; this is Hoenn, there is no such thing as victory. [break][break]
In a twist of fate, another Ultra Wormhole appears. Like Necrozma’s, this one lacks the usual neon colors that signal the appearance of an Ultra Beast. This one proves more sinister in nature, crackling in purple and pink energy as a huge hand extends from the great beyond. [break][break]
It grabs Necrozma and reels it back into Ultra Space. [break][break]
[break][break]
Just like that, the events of Slateport conclude. As anti-climatics as it is, the darkness provides a shroud for everyone to recollect themselves and flee into the safety of Route 118. Some will find nearby Ultra Beast docile and willing to accompany them, while others reunite with their altered Pokemon. [break][break]
LUNALA finds itself allured by Valerio’s heavily wounded
SWABLU. It’s imprinted itself onto the Pokemon and trainer as the first beings to show it the glory of moonlight. [break][break]
NIHILEGO spits Katherine out and remains by her side. This one lacks the same menacing overtone as the other
NIHILEGO they’ve fought until now. This one has wandered the region and looks only to survive and adapt, able to stand its own but a pacifist by nature. Depending on its host, that may soon change. [break][break]
Freed from the influence of Necrozma,
DUSK MANE SOLGALEO returns to Kyle. His Silvally is unable to detect Necrozma’s presence, a telltale sign that this Pokemon fall more in line with Solgaleo than anything else. Although its power remains, its ability to open up Ultra Wormholes has been expended in order to provide Hoenn a fighting chance. [break][break]
MOLTRES returns to normal, exhausted, brought to the edge of death until Stormy returns it. Over time, it’ll become acclimated to its new power, able to call upon the
DARK FLAMES granted by
SHADOW LUGIA,
NECROZMA, and the exposure to
ULTRA SPACE. [break][break]
Likewise,
SHADOW LUGIA returns to normal. Without a mutual enemy, it has no reason to bond or obey, revert back to its former aggression. [break][break]
Cillian Quinn,
Raziel Beckett,
Balder Schwartz, and
oscar clayton will find a new partner in their newly bonded Ultra Beast. [break][break][break]
