out at sea, an ultra beast has been sighted. this one is noticeably different than the others, sporting a different color palette while still being easily identifiable due to hoenn's widespread exposure to nihilego. without a wormhole in sight, no one knows quite where this one came from. the lack of megalopolan present make it seem as if it drifted ashore all on its own. but that couldn't be! that would mean—

Alexei groaned—he thought the kaiju terror was over, however there was something going down—reported that there was another sighting of the tentacle hentai monster (as his drag son put it) somewhere out on the eastern reaches of Hoenn.

Quick to arrive at Pacifidlog via Teleport service, he swapped out his load and quickly grabbed one of the other Flying-types he could use to nuke from a distance—his Pelipper.

Well, he had two Pelippers but that was neither here nor there right?

Getting on his Salamence, he flew out towards the reported source of the disturbance—but not wishing to endanger his Braviary mount (blue plumage on all) sent the Pelipper out and forward.

The moment Mike emerged from the flash of red light, a sudden Drizzle kicked up—there it was.

“Hurricane it!” he called to the Pelipper, watching as the bowl bird valiantly flew forward, bringing the rain with it and hoping to aim a precise Hurricane right at its tentacles.

No, there would be no need for the feathers… he hoped. He hoped as this one was… roughly the same size as the ones he’d encountered back in the New Year, although the coloration was… slightly different.

There is still so much to do, it feels like the repercussions of the war will never actually end. These beasts kept showing up, and Ruby was quite certain that they were just going to continue to show up eventually. There was no doubt that a few were left behind from the wormholes, it was only a matter of time before they revealed themselves.

It was that same type of Ultra Beast that Ruby had become uncomfortably familiar seeing as of late. First during New Years, and multiple times since then. Poisonous, much more toxic than anything they had found before. Her Togekiss certainly could attest to its strength, with the poison alone slowly causing the beautiful gal pain... no matter how much Amor denied the fact.

Ruby sighed as she stared out across the horizon from the small sand bar she was standing atop of, with Grace the Gardevoir standing by to hopefully teleport her out of here if anything actually went wrong. By her side was her chosen pokemon, an Eevee who had proven herself to be quite feisty and eager to battle named Evo. She was young, but all they needed to do was just lay down some suppressing fire. Hopefully, the more attacks launched at the beast, the better.

"Evo," Ruby paused, staring up at the Nihilego in the distance. "SWIFT. I don't care what color it is, it's going down." The excitable Eevee, ready to prove itself, firmly placed their paws onto the sand and cried out. Star-shaped rays quickly launched towards the beast as Ruby bit her lip.

"... I don't want to see another one of these as long as I live."

White, yellow, green, or blue--these fuckers had to die. From a league owned boat (ew) Oscar stood amongst other volunteers slowly heading toward the sighted ultra beast. A battle had already begun against it, and odds of their success seemed high. Nevertheless, stories of these creatures were always dire. Thus the general mood of the ship was nothing short of grim.

When they got within range, the attacks began. Oscar himself sent out Salazzle to deal with this shit head jellyfish. Salazzle didn't feel everyone else's fear, unleashing a Flamethrower without hesitation. Oscar always appreciated her courage, though he hoped her jumping into battle wouldn't lead to dire consequences.

his toxapex sets up its baneful bunker as it tries to defend against the attacks of the nihilego. kyle knows that despite the pokemon's typing, there's little he can do against the potency of these ultra beasts' toxins.

kyle's hand clutches his manectric's pokeball, certain that the electric-type has somehow developed a resistance against poison. he's reluctant to send it out, however, as he's not sure about the prospect of letting a survivor go against the very thing that almost claimed its life.

as soon as the attacks subside, the toxapex opens itself up for a counter attack. liquidation blasts the nihilego from afar. eventually, they manage to fend it off.

kyle is worried about the threat to its opposition that its presence entails, but someone has to defend the frontlines.

She remains seated on the back of her Garchomp, who’s taken to the skies - circling the jellyfish-like pokemon from high above.

“This shouldn’t take long,” Katherine speaks to herself just as her hand digs into her bag to retrieve a capsule.

From within the pokeball, her DUSKNOIR escapes. It stares long and hard at the Nihilego before Katherine signals for it to activate its ability, BLACKHOLE. Its goal is simple, it wants to suck the creature in and eliminate it then and there.

When Lucas' ninjask, adorned with a tracker, approached the nihilego it was with a small swarm of lookalikes summoned by double team. They buzzed through the air till they could see the Nihilego with full clarity.

Black ichor spouted out the arms of each Ninjask. Their arms and claws become coated in the semi transparent liquid which rippled constantly. In sync each Ninjask rose their arms and made a slashing motion that caused the black ichor to be flung towards the otherworldly pokemon.

She'd been brought in for her psychic ranged abilities. A spunky little Fenneken from the Safari Zone.

She was new to the team but fit in well enough with the other fire-starters. It was her mental abilities that made her stand out from the pack; that made Sénon take the risk.

He hadn't faced the Nihilego in the Battle for Lilycove, taking to the skies it was the bugs, the "Buzzwole" he'd danced with and the towering "Stakataka" he'd helped to stagger. He played his hands with caution and consideration and victory was what he was dealt. He had a lot of good people backing him up there.

There were good people here too, but the winds seemed to blow in a different direction. "Use PSYBEAM, Keep your distance!"

There wasn't much they could do at their distance knowing close range fire attacks wouldn't make of a difference. Of course long range attacking meant you could be long range attacked. Spry as she was Fennekin couldn't take many water or poison attacks from this thing.

Even with all the death it was causing they couldn't sit by and do nothing. Even in caution, he held out hope they could fend off this other-worldly threat put the alien conflict to bed once and for all.

fixing up the region was a big job but wasn't too dangerous as long as one stayed away from the pools of poison that were still lingering around. no one would have expected one of the giant jellyfish monsters to still be around however, and that was something no one could let happen, not even kazimir. Moana stared at the strange golden alien.

It was a unique one, from what he understood. They were supposed to be blue, or something. But who cared? They needed to eliminate it, and they did something. Now, it's slinking back into the sea, chased off.

Moana watches it go suspiciously, his Vigoroth, Anda, beside him. The battle had been tough, but would it come back to bother them later that they left it alive? Who knew. He'd just have to hope the Nihilego wasn't a confrontational type.

Her Magneton floats in the air, the beastie having been caught last she was here. She does not care if the death reaches her. She revels in the experience it brings. Around her, she is aware of the others but fails to really make a connection to them. "Magnet Bomb" the woman hums to her Pokemon. As the others battle the creature, she's here for the goal of studying it. Trial and error. Trial and error...

That is what she tells and sells to herself. If she fails, she earns little. If she succeeds, then she makes a contribution. The Magneton groans from its metal interior, zapping a bomb made of steel at the creature. She is fascinated by the resiliency of it. But if her Pokemon falls to it, Sidonie would make little effort to be sad. Only the strong survive trials like this and she would not weep for failures.

From his vantage upon Usurper, Adrian is able to make out the awry figure of another leviathan entity leftover from the Megalopolan invasion. Having no wish to get so near this beast's tendrils, he remains out of reach, conjuring a pokeball and releasing an Aegislash. "Alright, you're up."

Aegislash seemed... not confident, but apathetic.

"If it tries to hit you, use KING'S SHIELD. But try to hit it with a SACRED SWORD," he offered instruction. "If that fails, use IRON HEAD. In a pinch, it might get you out of trouble."

As the pokemon flies away, Adrian can't help but feel waves of regret washing over him. After the information shed on the Ultra Beasts had been leaked, he had chosen Aegislash carefully, thinking it the best choice. But all that would be for naught if it wound up dead, sunk to the ocean floor.

It is ominous and commanding in its glory and Stormy exhales slowly, fingers balling into white-knuckled fists. Her hands are warm, however, despite the cold of the water spraying her clothing.[break][break]

"Don't be reckless, Charizard. Attack it from a distance and don't engage. Do you hear me? Do not engage."[break][break]

But the Charizard was bold, reckless, equally as hotheaded. It hadn't been born under her wing, hadn't been reared from the group she had taken from the safari zone. It had been one she'd found, an angry spitfire in the midst of a war. It had evolved quickly under her control but it wa angry, angrier than any of the others she'd raised.[break][break]

When it comes in to use a series of AIR SLASHES, it gets too close. It wants a piece of the fight, desperate to prove itself. The wind is too harsh for Stormy to call him back and it would be too late for her to return him in time, should the situation turn dire. She just had to pray.[break][break]
