"let's burn through this a bit faster boys yeah?" with that he released his ninetails who glared at the team before kazimir directed its attention by pointing towards the wall and all of the work they had done on the wall. "c'mon stormbringer let's burn down these rocks. can ya do that?" the fox scoffed at the question and took a deep breath and unleashed a powerful fire blast on the wall to heat up the wall and make it a bit easier for kazimir to pick up a pickaxe and swing at the rocks with as much of his might as he could muster.

After they'd investigated their findings, Adrian noticed a strange aura coming from the plate. It was only by chance after reading the strange etchings on the back that he consciously shifted his vision, his eyes aberrant as they flooded stygian.

This thing is giving off... something strange.

Slouching over the plate, he surrendered it back to the group's plunder mostly unnoticed, keeping to himself before they decided to redouble their efforts, rallying to Kazimir and his Ninetales.

"Sure," Adrian complied, brandishing a Ninetales' pokeball alongside Kazimir. "Ninetales; Inferno."

The councilman's Chandelure was of a lonely nature, drifting toward its fellow fire Pokemon upon being released from its pokeball as if to share in their warmth, their company. Orion eyes Kazimir's aggressive fox with evident trepidation, beckoning the spectral chandelier back to his side.

What's wrong with it? None of his other Pokemon seemed so... But, then, how well did he know Kazimir, really? Aside from their foray into Space, during which time they'd been under immense pressure, he didn't know the man or his Pokemon at all.

He finds he can't draw his gaze away from the fox as his Chandelure whirls in place, the spinning fire from its candles leaving scorch marks on the stone.

it is not only adrian that notices the mysterious plate but valerio also has his eyes curiously wandering over its written engravings. while the text is intellegible, the message is lacking and unclear. what about the two beings of time? is this a prophecy of some sort?[break][break]

as the group begins breaking the walls further with fire attacks, the redhead decides to retrieve brenn and summon dax instead to do the work while hoon assists. “use your jaws to take the treasures off the wall before it goes down.”[break][break]

AS THE CAVE-IN IS CLEARED, the whole chamber quakes. Although the rubble is cleared enough for safe passage, the cave's walls' integrity has been compromised. A violent fissure travels from the wall to the ground you all stand on. Suddenly, the sound of a large crack alerts everyone to their apparent dilemma. The floor begins to fall out from underneath them.[break][break][break]

As everyone falls, they see a vast cavern system filled with magma. If the falling rock wasn't dangerous enough, the magma below belches and surges with incredible heat. Find a way to safely land or be smothered by rock and magma.[break][break][break]

The tension in Orion's muscles only worsens as the ground trembles, his attention diverted from the Ninetales to focus upon the fissure in the earth. As the floor begins to fall away, Orion yelps in alarm and loses his footing, falling—

A bright flash of light reveals his Silvally, the large chimera breaking his fall upon its back and leaping clear of the magma and sharp spears of rock to land on safer ground. Winded by the impact, Orion's thanks comes silent as he winds his fingers through Silvally's mane, wheezing.

"Percy," he chokes out, when he has breath enough to speak. Then, "I-Is everyone all right?"

the ground, breaks beneath them and reveals a magma flooring, catching the redhead off guard as he retrieves dax back into his ball. luckily for him, hoon is there and is capable of flying.[break][break]

“i'm good. but we won't be any sooner unless we take care of that.”[break][break]

he responds to Orion Lykos's query, pointing out at the magma-flooded floor while his fingers fidget into his pockets. getting the right ball, he calls on his dragonair dum who pops out in crimson light, swirling around him and the charizard.[break][break]

“use a water-type move and save us, dee.”[break][break]

the dragonair then flies forward, his blue orbs begins to glow as waves of water (surf) materialize hits into the molten earth. at the water's impact, the scalding liquin begins to solidify while the entire area is covered in smoke. charizard's flapping of wings cuts through the foggy veil, providing the band of explorers some sight of the safe ground they're about to venture next.[break][break]

as the group falls most of them manage to be saved by their pokemon which kazimir reacted accordingly. releasing his braviary the bird dove after the blonde as he reached out and grabbed its leg as it released a powerful air slash that split the laval beneath them just wide enough to kazimir to lift his legs up as they soared up and over the pit of molten death and landed on some rocks.

"holy arceus...that was a freaking close one...everyone alright?" kaz asked despite his breath running thin as he tried to stand tall. however his knees were shaking and his balance was gone as he leaned against his large bird and kept glancing down at the pit of lava below them, gulping as he imagined what that might feel like if one of them fell in.

Adrian stands closest a wall, away from the others, when disaster encroaches upon them. He chances another glance towards the rock wall with his shinigami eyes before the signs begin making themselves apparent. UH... CAVE IN!??!??

Adrian fumbles with his pokeballs as the floor falls out beneath them, sequestering them in a deeper chamber. During the scramble he picks a pokeball, and in that moment a crimson blade takes form; Adrian snatches at the Honedge's hilt as his descent quickens, before plunging it against the wall. Sparks fly, but the blade doesn't catch...

Driven by his urgency, the blade saturates with an umbral essence before it begins to gouge into the rock, carving through it and slowing Adrian's descent before he can fall upon... A magma pit.

"What the actual fuck, man," Adrian whimpers while hanging onto Honedge, before feeling himself slipping... His hand feels wet, and he's beginning to feel a numbing pain from his clenched fingers.

"H-Honedge, grab onto me! Please!"

It was a death sentence, but he'd sooner take the chance than dive willingly into molten rock. As the pokemon tentatively ensnared Adrian's wrist in its garb, he began to feel... something slipping away from him... Panicked red orbs could see something slipping away, and a voice called out to him.

It spoke to him as it had before, at the summit of Mt. Pyre, and it guided him now as it had before. Adrian would learn of the nature of Yveltal's boon, using its gift to draw back on his sapped energy. As for the present, it seemed he would be saved.

"Uh, guys. A little help?"

EVERYONE LANDS SAFELY. The dramatic sweeping of stone, wind, and water are accompanied by the mighty presence of a Groudon. Magma bubbles all around them, churning hellishly like a crimson ichor. Occasionally, the party would be able to see a Slugma or Magcargo leisurely crawling across the walls.[break][break][break]

Something or several things roar deeper in the cave. Ancient footprints can be seen carved into the walls should you examine carefully; however, the party quickly finds out that they must be careful, for any misplaced zagreus-step could result in an impromptu trip through Styx.[break][break][break]

Their path was barred by trenches of molten rock; his skin felt irritable as the heat venting off the magma radiated throughout the chamber, smothering him. No, no no... Screw this $#!%

There were no obvious exits, but he knew where the heat was coming from, and the risk navigating it posed. After taking a moment to sift through his phone, Adrian brought out a strange, eight-limbed creature. "Alright, Flex. Let's see those guns."

Holding up a pair of finger guns, Adrian elaborated: "Use Octozooka on the magma 'til it cools."

Adrian was sure to keep his distance while Flex went to work hosing down the lava ahead.

as the group managed to get their footing the boiling heat of the magma surrounding them was really making kazimir miss the chilly air of christmas morning many years ago. they had just managed to land in this room not a few minutes ago and already beads of sweat were racing down his forehead as he recalled his pokemon and stared at the various pools of magma and took notice of the biggest one in the room. "right let's cool things down kusanagi! hydro cannon!" throwing a ball out the samurott erupted onto the scene in a flash and gathered up water in a sphere on its fin before it fired it off in a pwoerful stream of water that when collided with the lava sent forth a geyser of steam that made everything just more warm and sweaty. "anyone up for a sauna bath?" the blonde joked as he busy taking off his shirt to whipe away the sweat all around him.

The councilman trembles, heart still racing from his brush with danger. They'd been warned there might be a little bit of danger going into this tour, but this was not what Orion had expected. Though he wishes nothing more than to demand they turn back, pride keeps him quiet as they forge ahead.

Releasing his purple-hued Swampert provides some small comfort, for the mud fish was a veteran of war and a stalwart companion. Orion rests his hand on the Pokemon's damp flank and wills his heart rate to slow.

"Follow their lead," he urges.

Swampert's muscles tense as it builds up power, releasing a high-pressured hydro pump toward the molten rock.

Orion laughs at Kazimir's question, the sound strained. Secretly, he's grateful for the other's ability to inject humour into the situation. When he glances over to see the other without his shirt, his cheeks flush red and he looks away. "If I close my eyes, maybe I can pretend we're in Lavaridge."

his party endures through the magma-filled basin as dee provides them a safe landing. however, they realize that the hardened earth is not enough when what surrounds them are boiling rocks.[break][break]

the redhead catches kazimir's capsule, lending him a feraligatr for an even stronger attack than his dragonair's. the alligator opens its mouth and releases a powerful blast of water, launching its hydro cannon into the pool of magma to help solidify the ground.[break][break]
