RITUAL'S POOL TOURNAMENT

A MEASURE OF ONE'S STROKE GAME

CHAOS DWINDLES AS THE SITUATION IS ADDRESSED. Fernando sneers as the bar empties out. Standard operating procedure dictates that he stays on premise to give a report–who better than someone live on the scene.

His first priority is to make sure everyone’s okay. After that, it’s merely the waiting game. So, with nothing better to do, Fernando entertains the request. The game’s afoot.

The air of a challenge has long been snuffed out along with the spontaneous flames of the night. Fernando can barely ass a care as he wriggles the stick between his index finger and thumb. “Hmph,” he passes with a click of his tongue, aiming dead center.

[attr="class","hanatext"]Lilith's a little uncertain what to do when everyone's losing their minds over something but if it's anything that involves her or her pokemon, she's not quite going to stand by and let it happen. As the scorned lady swoops in for a hit, she's already grabbing onto the Mimikyu, hugging it close to her chest if not to protect him, then to save that bridesmaid from a potentially gruesome fate.

Hex growls, snarling against her grasp as his shadowy tendrils thrash for a chance to break skin but he is denied the sweet colours of blood, his head vigorously shaking as he lets out a shriek. Then he falls silent, still as a doll as Lilith gently rocks him with a melody.

"Hush." She whispers, her gaze lingering on the crumbling scene around her before latching onto the man, watching how he positions himself for the shot and noting every detail his appearance provides. He seems dignified, well accustomed to being in control even if the world he has to rule is naught but ruins - A public figure most likely, but not one that immediately comes to mind. She'll have to brush up her knowledge of notable names in this region later.

Once FERNANDO SILPH scratches his shot, she takes her turn at the shot, placing her Mimikyu on the table edge and breaking the stack neatly. None goes in but she's more or less expected it with her shaken nerves.

There’s no sarcasm behind his comment. The fact that he scratches goes to show how much his nerves have scattered as he mindlessly jimmies the stick without care.

As the balls spread out over the table, Fernando lines a basic shot. One by one, he goes for the easy pot shots, clearing up the board while avoiding hitting hers by accident. Eventually, his shot doesn’t make it in.

The table becomes sparse as each ball sinks between plays. Unfortunately, she puts him in a bad position as one of his balls sits right against the eight ball.

He plays defense, shooting to knock his ball into the open.

WHILE THE BAR HAS MOST CERTAINLY LOST TODAY, the tournament is won.[break][break]
Smoke blows from the disbelieving lips of the establishment’s owner as he rolls his last cigarette between two fingers, ashing right on the floor. [break][break]

“Yup. Well, congratulations Mr. Silph. Uh… hold on one second.” Quickly, he leaves back down the hallway, only to return with one particularly dumb looking Slowbro. It is set down at his feet towards Fernando, and he fishes its pokeball out of his pocket. Clicks his tongue and hands it over. “There he is. The Slowbro prize, all the way from Kanto.”[break][break]

The Pokemon scratches its head, staring at nothing in particular. ‘Bro…’[break][break]

Law enforcement finally burst through the front doors, and Roach goes to put out his cigarette in an ashtray. [break][break]

“ROACH? THIS IS THE ONE. YOU ALREADY KNOW. WHAT THE HELL?”[break][break]

“Officer.”[break][break]

The frustrated woman turns to FERNANDO SILPH . “Oh! Mr. Silph?” Eyes then go to lilith eirwin . “Hey! How old are you?”[break][break]

A lot of shit went down . . . and so did a lot of whiskey

Down her throat.

Glossy-eyed and running on a drunk adrenaline high, Lex staggered over to the tables to watch the last bit of the tournament, “Well I’ll be damned,” she muttered as she slung back the last of her current drink. The thief leaned against Roach for support once he finished congratulating FERNANDO SILPH, “Dis was ffffun, you sshhhhould do et again sometime?” she drunkenly smiled at him before the cops busted in.

The sight of police was enough to make her jump and sober up quite a bit, “WELP, that’s my cue, later, Roach. Don’t worry, I’ll hold down the fort while you’re gone,” she winked and patted the owner on the back and shot off towards the crowd to disappear with Killian Decker.

There's a hint of panic that surges through her when she recognises those clothes and one that commands her to act quickly lest she be shackled once more. Without a word, Lilith releases a Kirlia, grabbing hold of Hex and Teleporting away from the scene. There's no telling how things would have turned out had they realised she didn't have an identification, though she's pretty sure she may have caused a little bit of trouble for the barkeep.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Is it sad that it's YUAN'S pokemon, that seems to be the one that does most of the work for the fire. As much as he loved the destruction of things here it was his Samurott that helped the bar. Oh well, seems from all that the boss man decided to choose who he wanted to continued and the Doctor took a back seat curious to see how the game would turn out. [break][break]

He would finish up his drink and head over toward the bar, "The drinks haven't stop because of a silly little fire and water has it?" he questions shaking his now empty glass. [break][break]

Though it feels that that's when the sirens go off, and shiiiit. He'll have to come back another time as he brings out Thinker from their pokeball, "Time to go," he'll tap their head and Yuan is off with a simple Teleport because no one wants to be around with cops to explain a fire.

Thirsty for fresh air after almost being crushed by a pack of feral bridesmaids, Angelo had somehow managed to squeeze his way out of the bar just before the cops showed up. It leaves him with a front row seat to the appearance of blinding blue-red flashing down the dark streets, replacing the screams of panic from within the establishment with high pitched wailing. “Man… 'm hungry…” Too bad Ki (Chu-e Choi ) was probably getting arrested right now. Not like that would get him off the hook. Next time they met, he owed him a burger.
