Plagueis the blastoise pushed toward the genesect as it swam, guided by the frantic taps of Emma the ariados. She was impressed, even with the damage it had taken this creature was still able to outspeed its pursuers. As she watched it through her thermal vision, she noted that it had entered the sub through one of the loading docks. She tapped Plagueis's head, urging him to go faster. Plaugeis maintained his current speed, as it was already as fast as he could possibly swim.

As they entered the dock, Emma leapt off Plagueis's shell and began tracking the being once more. Plagueis meanwhile decided to flip onto his back and float for a bit. He would join the chase eventually, he just needed to catch his breath. Emma scurried down hallways toward the creature, noticing as she got closer that the thing was standing still.

She slowed her approach, using Camouflage to turn invisible. She stealthily climbed onto the ceiling, and crawled toward the target's room. Cautiously climbing into the dorm, she watched the being as it stood in front of Serena Malcolm. What was it doing? It had none of the hostility it had previously displayed, did it need something here? Emma waited, watching carefully to see what its target would do next. She hoped it would hurry, as she doubt her fellow pokemon would allow it the came courtesy.

Gavin reads the message from Serena Malcolm with existential dread pooling in his gut. If Genesect was in the dorms, how had it gotten back in? Was there another hole in the sub?

"I have to go. It's in the dorms."

With no further explanation to those he was with, Gavin makes his way to the dormitories. Since Serena had begun to work more closely with him, Gavin had made a note of where her room in the residential wing of the sub was located. Assuming she was there, Gavin sprints through the cramped halls of the sub with sirens blaring in the background.

He skids to a comical halt upon entering the scene, and stares.

The buzz of frequent psychic pulses was giving him a pressure migraine. This promised trouble for him if the problem wasn't rectified soon. The 'shlip' of Teleporting pokemon followed him, the various pokemon he had gotten from his office assisting in the evacuation efforts by grabbing anyone they could get their paws on and taking them to safety. While Chu-e was more well versed in Fairy types, the soft spot for Psychic types, the preferred type of his ex husband, was proving to be useful; it meant he was more than well equipped to help those who couldn't help themselves. While there was a deep dread and fear building in his gut, Chu-e didn't like being underwater to start, being in charge meant he refused to leave until he knew everyone else was safe or he physically couldn't stay on the sub any longer.

It was more happenstance that his Gardevoir Teleported him into the action.

He had come to the dorms, after working in the labs and some other areas of the sub, to get any stragglers; his pokemon were already at work behind him, only Prince and Cipher at his side as personal escorts. Cillian Quinn's back was to him, a great, purple, metal monstrosity on the other side. Was this what had tore a hole in the sub? Had been shooting at him and his pokemon? Had built that strange nest in a forgotten part of the Labs?

Gavin may have skidded to a halt but Chu-e clenched his fists and marched to meet his fellow Underboss, steel and heat in his eyes as he bored his gaze into Genesect.

"You," He stops, his pokemon just behind him, a quick motion for the Delphox to stand down; the Gardevoir trembles in the face of conflict. "Is this thing... the... Genesis Project?" The words are unsure, based on the papers he had nabbed and only briefly glanced at before escaping the private lab. Regardless, whatever it wanted, he wasn't about to let it fuck the Sub up more or put anyone else in danger.

- chu-e has a lot of pokemon out in the area but they're busy teleporting people to safety. only gardevoir and delphox are with him.

After sending off the Ronster after Rocket's "precious cargo", mother nature had angrily given him a life or death call, sending the man flying towards the restrooms. Sure the sub was sinking, sure he might drown - but dammit he was not about to die with intestine full of shit. Upon zipping up and leaving the restroom, Ezra began to jog up and down the hallways of the submarine, unsure where to really go. Every corridor looked as hollow as the next, leaving him utterly helpless in this dire situation.

That is until he heard some chatter come down from one of the various hallways he had previously slid past. People? Hopefully they're some of the nice rockets, he thought to himself before turning back around towards the noise. Upon reaching the doorway he noticed several figures occupy both the outside and inside of the populated room. Their faces were familiar, but the type of familiar that made you think 'I've seen you SOMEWHERE at SOMEPLACE before' rather than 'I've spoken to you before.'

As his eyes hopped from one face to another, they eventually found themselves rested upon a purple...ant? To be frank, Ezra wasn't quite sure what he was looking at. It could've been some decorative dining room chair for all he knew. "Uhhhhh..." Was the only thing he could bring himself to say, as the atmosphere seemed....tense. "Did I walk into something orrrrr."

ezra's pov

Gavin is passive in response to the Genesect, standing next to Serena as if to physically shield the robotic Pokemon from the sudden crowd that enter the dorms. The small space feels uncomfortably full, and the underboss lifts a bracing hand to his counterpart.

"Let's not approach with aggression," he suggests, but it's too late.

Genesect speaks, and its voice sends a shudder down Gavin's spine. It brushes past those that would look to halt its progress and points itself like a weapon at Chu-e Choi.

Gavin's reaction is immediate and instinctual, a hand going for the pokeball belonging to one of his fastest partners: Zeraora. The lightning cat yowls upon being released into the chaos, lightning bouncing between its whiskers as they twitch.

"Protect," Gavin orders, a mirror of the Genesect's own words. Without hesitation, the AGILE cat leaps between the robot and its intended prey... but it does not attack. Its PLASMA FISTS glow with energy that it does not expend.

"Genesect, stop," he demands, hoping to appeal to it. "We're not your enemies."

There is a moment of clarity where Chu-e thinks it was probably a bad idea to get closer to this thing.

It clicks into place, an afterthought. It had shot at other people before, but never anyone twice. Except for him. But he couldn't... why did it shoot at others? What was the factor here that connected them all together? Why?

Except he didn't have time to think about that. He took a sharp breath and braced himself to try and move but was too slow. He wouldn't make it in time.

It seemed like time was moving in slow motion. The purple pokemon was coming for him and he couldn't move fast enough. Cillian Quinn releases a pokemon but it's slow, it's slow. It's okay, but it's slow.

Flames lick at his left cheek and the rough grip of claws scratch the back of his neck, pull him backwards. Cipher, the Delphox lunges forward despite orders, eyes glowing with psychic energy and fire burning from it maw. The prickle of air on his right, Prince, the Gardevoir, tears in his eyes, pushing forward as well. Both pokemon looking to try and block body and blow for their Trainer.

A shriek as a body is hit.
