These kinda events just attracted all the important people in Hoenn, it seemed. Not so much the rich or powerful people, as the ones that actually got things done in the region.

He supposed it proved they were proactive.

The moment Lele went inside, a commotion broke out. Doug was not even surprised, and you know what?

"Nope. Ain't none of m'business."

The youth slumped further into his seat and craned back his head, laying it onto the backrest of the bench and closing his eyes.

Tapu Lele gave MATIAS SILPH some peace signs and gestured for Virizion to give her a call before rolling out once again, casually following after the retreating cait alfric into the bathroom, humming along to @deacon's circus tune.

Warm orbs observed the many who flocked to the laboratory. Some seemed to be here for the social aspect while others, for some reason unknown to Maverick. But as his gaze flickered over many both unfamiliar and familiar faces, one seemed to always draw his gaze right back to them. She was beautiful in her dress, perfect in every matter it was. The desire to walk right up to her, offer a hand to dance was very prevalent. His gaze would falter however, knowing she was taken and didn’t want to cause a scene. He growled at himself, turning his back to the sea of people to look upon the stars instead.

It wasn’t until a commotion was heard that the scarred man turned to see a peculiar sight. The body form of an unown floated against the dance floor. His brows scrunched, head slightly shifted to one side as it appeared to be lost or looking for someone. For a moment, the man only observed it. Curious as to what it wanted. It wasn’t until this mysterious device he got chimed in his pocket that suddenly, he was interested in this creature as well. Shoving the device into his pocket before anyone could see, the man waited for a moment to try to predicated it movements. And when he had an opening, Maverick would attempt to capture the creature.

Zac stormed through the crowd, after the ?. His Minior swarmed and swirled overhead. They bumped into each other, letting off flashes of light as they followed behind the rogue letter as closely as possible.

He took out his phone, trying to open the Unown Report application and take a scan of the letter. "Which of these bloody things is it again?" he asked, mashing the screen with his finger.

An application opened, but Zac's heart sank as the menu theme of Pokemon Bodega Re-Mix blared out of his crusty speakers. Somewhere far away michiko maeda might feel a little jolt of excitement.

He noticed that Kazimir Wynter was on the chase for the Unown too, and he called out. "Over here mate! Let's try and box it in!"

as tapu lele followed, pearl managed to successfully slip into the restroom with a low murmur - the door still in the midst of swinging before it froze abruptly upon its hinge. a psychic power caused it to still, a small and fae-like creature soon slipping out of the latrine to hover before the door. having quickly emerged from a capsule that had been contained within the confines of cait's purse, the grass-type had sensed her distress and emerged to investigate the source of it.

the door was shut by what appeared to be a celebi, the sound of vomiting heard just beyond it.

[ celebi does not allow tapu lele to pass ]

cait's god hovers before the door, adopting an almost lax position as it lazily rests upon an unseen cushion of power; its narrowed gaze directed at tapu lele as it eyes its pink-haired peer. they appear to be mildly annoyed, but only act as a barrier to discourage lele.

The claps and cheers practically went off in Lele's head as an unexpected guest suddenly made their appearance, Celebi casually draping themselves over an unseen cushion and regarding her as one would an inconvenience.

Well, they were half right.

Lele did not stop in her approach, coming to hover her face inches away from Celebi's face, eyes unblinking.

If nothing else, the time traveler had distracted her from their charge- and turned her focus entirely on them.

Tapu Lele, as most legendaries, was a somewhat reclusive figure; though relative to them, she '''often''' paid unannounced visits to her siblings.

Though she could tell Celebi apart from the rabble, it was her first time actually seeing the time traveler.

They were almost the same size as her, just like her siblings...

Which meant one thing.
A pop went off in the bathroom as the Tapu slipped back into her shell, her giggles echoing along the walls as her antennae swung and swiveled in the air, glittering pink healing scales spreading all over around her as she swung about rhythmically to the rhythm of the music.

Zac followed at speed. Up the stairs, along the inner balcony, and around the outside of the room as fast as his legs and pumping arms would carry him.

Between his rainbow of Minior he already had minutes of footage, but that wasn't enough. Zac already had footage of the damn things. He had pictures from the Shoal Caves with @gina, videos from the Desert with Kazimir Wynter, even bloody charcoal rubbings from the ruins they had uncovered underneath the burning sands.

There was little to be gained from just seeing one of them again.

Zac had to catch it.

He pulled back his arm and hurled a Pokeball at the little bobbing bit of punctuation. It soared towards the rainbow cloud and at the last second his Minior scattered as the ball shot straight and true.

She was tempted to ham up her own heroism on the slopes of Mt. Chimney, but the spotlight after the event hadn't been comfortable for her. The Pokemon had done most of the real work, though Silph had also been right when he'd commended her for her smart calls and snap judgment. But that just came from experience-- wasn't nothing to write home about, especially when her supposed claim to fame had left her doling out drinks and mopping up broken glass.

You were only as successful as you let yourself be, and Jess was done with success. At least when it came to her career.

"Sky sure is pretty," Jess said after a moment, careful not to overbalance her tray. She glanced back at Katherine, a sly, bashful grin stealing onto her face. "Nah, lone wolf like you? Was just hoping you'd say you're single."

Actually, a little success for a change might not be so bad.

'Straight and true' may have been a tad of an overstatement. The ball flew well enough, but at the last moment one of Zac's Minior broke formation, bumping the ball mid-flight and sending it plummeting down to bounce off of MATIAS SILPH's head.

"Head's up!" Zac called, helpfully. "I could use a hand up here mate! The bloody letter is getting away!"

In the meantime the Unown had soared further around the room and out of throwing range. Zac's Minior soared after it, aside from Davenport, who was still recovering from taking the major-league pitch to the forehead.

"Sorry buddy," Zac said, as the blue orb floated over to him. He plucked it from the sky, tucked it under his arm, and ran.

Something in the darkness moves, approaching. Cutting off Angelo mid-sharing of star stories with Locke Jamison as the weird shape drifts on by, recognition bringing the pilot to his feet. Sleep-deprived eyes suddenly turning sharp. [break][break]

Intrigue coats his tongue but it’s a spark of opportunity that has the pilot on the move. He shots back the rest of his whisky with a flash of teeth as the burn rapidly sinks down his throat, impatient. He’d been hunting for these letters with Martín del Mar , recently – the CEO of POG bank had seemed eager to get his hands on the weird little things.[break][break]

No doubt, if he could get his hands on it, a profitable deal could be struck. [break][break]

Within the ballroom, familiar shapes of Zac Ramsay and Kazimir Wynter could be seen charging after the Unown. [break][break]

Sorry, he thinks to his fellow fuggers as he slowly weaves amongst the startled crowds, bringing his fingers to his lips to alert his two accompanying Dreepy with a loud whistle. That one’s mine. [break][break]

celebi allowed their gaze to remain fixed upon tapu lele, their expression outwardly neutral. yet the corners of its lips gave a slight twitch as the pink legendary suddenly committed to a dance, the display likely meant to make an impression. their laughter tickled at their senses, causing the beginnings of a little smirk to form.

"bi."

the soft mutter left the psychic-type as the fae prince took the act into consideration, a dainty paw scratching almost absently at their round chin. they were genuinely pleased by the attention as well as amused by the little demonstration. and so they hovered closer - pink scales brushing against their seemingly dainty form as they closed the distance.

had they been an ordinary pokemon, such a reckless show would likely result in unforeseen consequences; but they held a natural resistance to such power. it made them an ideal dance partner - they surmised - and so they circled around tapu lele; prodding at them gently with their mind in hopes of developing a psychic link.

it would allow them to maneuver around each other more easily once they began their dance, celebi's acceptance having been gained.

Try as he might, he couldn't ignore the commotion enough to actually rest or get some peace of mind. What the heck was that pink menace doing in there?

Eyes flying back open, the youth growled as he planted his hands on his thighs and pushed himself up to his feet, grabbing his thorny crown before turning to face Arashi Akiyama.

Who was not there anymore.

The youth was up and away, along with a massive crowd. Giving chase to something that wasn't Lele.

They were all just ignoring the party for the sake of catching a random pokemon that could well have belonged to someone.

"The heck's wrong with everyone tonight?"

Unfortunately, it appeared Shin's talents did not extend to Pokeballs. Cardamom watched in silent fascination as the Pokeball flew wide, arcing gracefully a far distance off from the question-mark Unown. Several more guests seemed to be on their way to abandoning whatever they had done before to rush further into attempted captures, and Cardamom shrugged a little before pulling out another Pokeball.[break][break]
"Second time's the charm?" she suggested, before leaning in closer. "If you can't hit it, the Silph CEO is fine too," she added in a quieter whisper. Shin nodded, grabbing the Pokeball and pausing before hurling it forwards once more. Maybe even if it missed it would roll under Fernando's feet and make him trip. She could only hope.[break][break]
