As beautiful as may indeed be and as much as Mars may deeply care for her, he has never had any interest in further pursuing things with her. Hugs? Cheek kisses? Ever too poetic flirtatious words that are bound to make her smile? All those things are well and good, but there’s no real attraction behind them.

She expects a reciprocated kiss on the cheek, nothing more. Luka giggles and scoffs when Remiel wipes at her face, but amusement quickly gives way to surprise when he kisses her in front of everyone. Seafoam eyes go wide before they flutter closed, savoring the moment, however brief. Her kiss is soft and sweet and tastes like chocolate and cinnamon, with the barest hint of irish cream. Above them Earl Grey hovers, dangling a merry sprig of mistletoe above their heads.[break][break]

Of course she doesn't mind the kiss. But such a public display of affection has her feeling very shy indeed when they part. And she's oblivious to the looks shared between and , wrapped up in her own fluffy, dazzled daydream. A goofy smile permanently affixes itself to her face as a bubble of hope rises in her chest.[break][break]

To be so openly ardent...this must only mean that Remiel's actually serious about her, right? So...so it's okay for her to link her arm with his and snuggle close? To rest her head on his shoulder while the rest of the group converses? Surely it's not crossing any lines...[break][break]

Sparks flew wildly between each kiss.

Unlike Barnaby, who tightly kept at his public image, Felix heeded no mind to what others saw or thought of him. What mattered more was the pulsing heat that flooded his body; the delicate, yet decisive hands that trickled from his chest to his thigh; and the pair of soft lips that met his.

Still, despite this unrelenting desire for more, the guard slowly pulled away from the blonde as the light chatter of others came within earshot.

"...Sorry," He murmured, eyes still locked onto Barnaby's.

But he wasn't sorry. As selfish as it was, Felix received all he could ever want from the night and more.

- 🎼Silent Night | The Tabernacle Choir

The scent of hot chocolate and freshly baked cookies fill the estate warmly as the evening winds down. Those who have stayed past the festivities end are each offered a room of their own to stay the night.

Outside, the frigid howls of the blizzard vibrate against a multitude of frosted windows, warning anyone against travel otherwise. If that wasn't enough, some who peer outside at the storm of white might pick up the faint outline of someone... or something, wandering about...

And there appears to be a great multitude of them.

Regardless, EARL GREY doesn't seem to notice and carries on as usual. The Sinistea sweeps through every room one last time with the night's final presents levitating in tow. This entrance is far more subdued and quiet than the two before it, however. And, after handing a present and/or cup of hot chocolate to a guest, the butler teacup offers to guide them to their room.

After all, all good holidays must come to an end at some point. But that's part of what makes seeing it again next year sweeter!
