Located in the vast Calcifet vineyard on Route 115, just north of Rustboro, Hoennians have flocked to join the festivities on a complimentary network of Stantler-led sleighs. Guests are encouraged to arrive in festive wear and spirit, though their outfits may be as formal or casual as they see fit. [break][break]

Outside, an ominous blizzard looms on the horizon. Thankfully, the massive estate boasts many fireplaces, several kitchens, and plenty of rooms and lounges. Everyone visiting is welcome to treat the mansion as their own for the night, though any excessive act of violence, destruction, or general CRIME will be quashed by the professionally trained staff acting as butlers and maids.[break][break]

Helping to decorate Remiel Calcifet's enormous estate is no easy feat. From garlands to fairy lights to blooming poinsettias, almost every inch of the vast building is decked out in some kind of holiday cheer.[break][break]

And of course just one Christmas tree isn't enough. The air is rich with the scent of freshly cut pine, and trees can be found shimmering away in almost every main room of the estate. Verdant boughs are hung with ribbon and lights and colorful baubles; some twinkling in blues and silver, some in brilliant gold. Luka hangs a few more glass icicles from the tree she's working on and steps back, lips pursed as she observes her handiwork.[break][break]

Stepping out of his limousine and up the steps of Remiel Calcifet 's estate, a handsomely dressed Felix Gallagher by his side, Barnaby was genuinely impressed by the elegance and grandeur that greeted him. It was like walking into a holiday wonderland. Every perceivable surface was decorated to the nines. But it was tastefully done; not tacky in the slightest.

Seeing an opportunity, Barnaby plucked a crystal flute from the tray of a passing waiter. The eggnog was a welcome comfort, one that brought back memories of childhood gatherings not unlike this one.

"Mmm, this should be fun," The journalist remarked, scanning the foyer and adjacent rooms for familiar faces. He leaned in closer to Felix and added in a more hushed, conspiratorial tone, "I trust you'll keep me safe if things get a little too crazy, hm?"

This was, of course, followed by a mischievous wink. He already knew that his bodyguard would do an expert job if things were to go awry.

Dom had, admittedly, no idea who Remiel Calcifet was, but he'd learned that when you're invited to an estate, you accept. There's always free food at estates. Plus, with even colder weather on the horizion, he wouldn't mind a break from the outdoors for a few hours. With a house (could you still call it that?) this big, he didn't feel bad about allowing Lynx to roam around with him. He was just a little Riolu, after all.[break][break]

When Dom decided to join the festivities, he hadn't expected to be actually helping with the decoration of the estate. Yet here he was, standing before one of a hundred decorated trees, pulling lavish ornaments out of decorative boxes. He handed Lynx an ornament to hold as luka chêne stepped back to admire the tree they were working on. He mirrored her, looking the tree up and down.[break][break]

"I like it. Oh wait!" He shuffled around in the boxes before producing a glittering golden star. Even he had to stand on tip-toe to reach the top of the tree, where he gently placed the star. "There. I think that's perfect, yeah?" He looked up as they were joined by someone else, his attention dipping to the mulled wine almost immediately. Dom pointed and said, "There's wine?!"

The well-groomed and prepared bodyguard entered the estate with squinted eyes and a near scowl. Felix absolutely despised the holidays, and so, Remiel Calcifet 's highly decorated winter wonderland only further vexed him. However, in spite of these feelings, there was no ignoring a request from BARNABY FINCH .

His fingers closely followed his partner's, fishing a second glass from the same tray he did. "..." Bringing the mysterious glass to his nose, Felix gave it a hard sniff before immediately shoving it an arm's length away. "Gross..." He mumbled. When he could, he'd swap his egg nog with one of the festively red cocktails circulating the foyer.

He exchanged a sharp nod to Barnaby's wink. Of course, he'd keep him safe - party or not.
And, following true to his words (or lack of words), Felix's eyes kept pointed at the ripples of bustling guests. Eventually, this led to him noticing a certain brunette helping decorate a Christmas tree. If their eyes were to meet, he'd offer Martín del Mar a nod.

THE RHYTHMETIC CLICK of fernando’s soles come to an end in one of the great halls. it’s there that he stands to ponder the innards of calcifet’s estate. to deem it anything short of extravagant would be a bold faced lie. that or someone’s delusions.

however, all fernando sees is profligate waste.

who could justify the size and architecture of such a building when plain white walls do just as well? that’s the mindset he exhibits with his own property. in contrast, the slateport gym is among the dullest in design. his home is no different, a luxury condo taken straight out of a furniture catalogue.

“impressive place,” he comments idly. it’s meager small talk to break ground with the very person who invited him.

“what do you think?”

he turns on his heel, still clinging to a glass of half finished wine, to receive her answer.

Cap wandered Remiel Calcifet 's estate, Ra sitting happily on his shoulder. He wasn't one to turn down an invitation to a fancy party, especially one that would give him a chance to case a home that was no doubt well furnished. And if he happened to wander out with a few more baubles in his pocket than when he entered? Well then, happy holidays to him. He swirled a glass of too-full mulled wine (he'd insisted the butler pour him a double, much to the individual's dismay), meandering from room to room. He admired the dazzlingly opulent decoration. It really was impressive. He wondered what it was like to have money like this; all the things he could buy, the power that went along with sheer wealth. He sighed wistfully and took a drink of the wine, smacking his lips. Not bad.

Locke arrived a little late, but he doubted his tardiness would be noticed among the bigger names present.

Leva-Leva had taken her time fixing his blazer as best she could from the damage it’d received at the last fancy party he’d attended, though the threadbare coat was hardly suited for the weather. The Levanny had counteracted this problem by making two matching eggnog-white scarves as well, which were dutifully wrapped around himself and the purple-pink Delibird chick in his arms.

Regret immediately filled Locke as they entered the sprawling estate, however, as they realized the majority of the people already here they only knew from HNN articles and the odd tabloid cover. The same Magikarp out of water feeling they’d experienced at the soiree crept up on them, and even the hot cocoa they’d accepted at the entrance did little to soothe their nerves as they scanned the room for any familiar face they could find.

They eventually spotted luka chêne and Martín del Mar admiring a nearly-decorated tree-how do you fit a tree that large indoors-off to the side near an assortment of colorful stockings. They didn’t recognize the himbo god accompanying them, but they very much wanted to.

That includes Dominic Grey as well, of course. She beams over at him, nodding in approval at his placement of the star. With that last finishing touch, the tree looks perfect. Festive and bright and glittering like a beacon. Luka feels rather proud of herself as she stops to pull up one of her seasonal stockings, knit and trimmed with a ribbon to match the rest of her yuletide ensemble.[break][break]

"Ummm...but I don't know! Monsieur Calcifet has been running around all day today. There's probably a lot to take care of, so I'm sure he'll be around later." Luka shrugs as she turns to face Mars properly, now that her hands are free of ornaments. Does he assume that they're attached at the hip?[break][break]

Anyways! Greetings are in order. Waves and pleasant words spring forth, and she feels comfortable enough to give Mars a gentle, fleeting hug. But Eris Halla receives a tighter embrace to match the young girl's energy. Luka happily takes one hand in hers and allows herself to be pulled along. With her free one, she gestures for anyone so inclined to come follow them.[break][break]

"Oh, goodness! You're really good at this," she praises when Eris begins to play. Her singing voice is nothing to write home about; pretty, but soft and thin as a string. Still, she adds her warbling tune to the piano, a melodic chime that fills the vast halls.

Soon their little band of tree-trimmers grew with a sea of unfamiliar faces. Dom pushed away the rising anxiety that nipped at the back of his mind, the urge to run off into the woods and away from opulence and people. Instead, he offered a gentle smile to Locke Jamison and tilted his head.[break][break]

"Huh, I didn't think of it like that." But luka chêne was quick to defend their well-decorated tree. Dom grinned at her. "We are, aren't we?" It wasn't a moment later that Matilda Greenlaw appeared at his elbow, offering a glass of wine. He flinched instinctively, still not quite used to the idea of her being in Hoenn. But he flashed her an awkward smile despite himself and took the wine with a nod. "Oh yeah! This is the kind that Electric-types can light up, isn't it? Do you have someone who can help? He cleared his throat uncomfortably and started to explain, but soon he was, with the rest of the group, being shooed away from the tree by a small child.[break][break]

Locke flushed at even the smallest bit of attention from Dominic Grey, quickly hiding himself inside of the decoration box again to break eye contact with the older man, pulling out a long cord of rose-colored lights and stringing them up on the mantle above the stockings.

He tensed at first when Eris Halla approached. It wasn’t that he’d been avoiding the girl, really, but it seemed like every time they were in a room together something terrible happened, and he wouldn’t have been surprised if she’d decided to cut ties altogether after their last few encounters.

But of course, she just hugged him along with luka chêne and Martín del Mar, and carried on as though that were nothing.

Relief flooded Locke’s veins and warmed their heart, so much so that they didn’t notice where Eris was leading the group until they were standing in front of the most ostentatious-looking instrument they’d ever seen. They couldn’t stop their surprise either when the little girl settled into the stool and tested a few of the keys. “Eh? You can play a fancy thing like that?”

They hesitated to join in as one-by-one their companions began singing along, but they soon found they could disappear easily between Luka’s soft but sweet melody and the yet-unnamed himbo’s feral cat screeching.

Melody looked back towards fernando, her own opinion being a stark opposite of his. While they both could agree it was very grand she found white walls to be so plain and boring when a splash of color could make all the difference in the world. "It's so cool! it's so beautiful, it's super cozy." she said as she adjusted her white knitted dress to stay cozy yet stylish for the evening. [break][break]

She held a glass cup of her own, but a white eggnog filled her cup instead as she loved the spiced seasonal drink. "By the way, thanks for accepting my invite so suddenly. I know you're a busy person and it was last minute so I really appreciate it Fernando." she said as she went and checked her phone, her messages to Rowan Wrynn never being received.[break][break]

She took a sip of her eggnog and looked around some more to see if there were people she'd recognize. She waved to Eris Halla eagerly as the girl was a recent challenger in her gym, she was glad to see her doing well from the looks of it.
