“Wouldn’t you like to know?” A wry smirk crossed Rowan’s lips as he slipped into the seat, setting his own glass down on the tabletop. In reality he’d been tailing Melody Miro since his attempt at espionage during her New Year’s Eve party had gone awry, but seeing as Adrian was here himself, it was worth messing with him for being at such a romantically charged event.

“I mean, you haven’t moved any of your things into my place in Sootopolis since your ‘issues’ stopped. A boy could get some mixed signals from such a thing.” His tone obviously wasn’t serious, but that wouldn’t stop him from attempting to torture them slightly further.

“I’m here with her, actually.” He points towards Melody Miro , chatting away with someone who seemed innocuous enough. “I’m her out incase she gets stuck with a creep. What about you?”

“New record label?” Rowan was admittedly surprised, it’d been a while since he’d heard Adrian speak about his music career, especially considering what had been weighing them down recently. “I’ve been working on some investments too.” Amber eyes tossed a glance towards Martín del Mar from across the room, having seen them on the way in. He’d hoped Sea Mauville would come along smoothly but there was no way of knowing how much he’d need to fund the project.

“Well, any label would be crazy to not have you.” A hand crawled across the table, carefully linking his fingers between their own. “You’re the most talented and handsome music artist in Hoenn, after all.” Good thing Melody wasn’t close enough to hear him say that or she might have had a word or two to say otherwise.

Part of him was simply insatiably curious as to what Rowan was angling their investments towards, and whether they were expecting a shift in the markets worth betting on.[break][break]

Adrian twirls a Klefki around his finger, it gleefully exclaiming while he gathers his thoughts. "Maybe..." Looks weren't everything, although they helped sell t-shirts and sell out stadiums. But the actual artistry behind it, making the music, was something he felt he was growing away from. He'd never fallen out of a hobby before until now.[break][break]

"I'll find the right one for me. Somehow." Adrian exuded confidence, giving Rowan a wink with a "I've done it before, I'll do it again" sort of attitude, referring to that fated night in Slateport when they first met.

“You sure did.” A small grin tugged at the corners of his lips, watching as the Klefki revolved around their finger. “Oh, I almost forgot.” Rowan used his other hand to nudge the Luvdisc that floated anxiously near his thigh, motioning for the Pokémon to hover onto the table. “I brought her along, figured it’d be thematically festive.”

A familiar face helped them out of their shell, the Luvdisc slipping over to let out a pleased cry in Adrian’s direction. “Remember when you gave her to me?” His tone was sweet, reminiscent of the loving gesture that was represented by the transfer of the Pokémon.

Based on how long they'd been chatting for, he couldn't help but feel the ding of a bell was imminent, so he leaned across the table towards Rowan—his lips brushing against their cheek. A smooch followed on its coattails before a very forward invitation was rendered.[break][break]

"Come find me after, okay? Unless you're busy...?" Adrian wouldn't want them to feel boxed in or coerced, especially if they had plans, but he was admittedly beginning to feel jealous of anyone who may soon share a table with them.

“I’m glad too, reminds me of you.” Rowan didn’t necessarily care if he sounded sappy, there wasn’t much that he didn’t share with Adrian at this point. They had gotten used to him spewing gushy sentiments, even if Adrian wasn’t exactly the most open book. The other moved in closer to brush their lips against his cheek, to which Rowan couldn’t help but flush at the public display of affection. “I’m never busy for you.”

A soft smooch was exchanged before they parted, a devious glint in his eyes. “I'll be at your place, after.” Rowan let the subtext speak for itself, the words between the lines purposefully omitted to create a seductive scene in their mind. “See you, babe.”
