A somewhat cliche line, perhaps, but one that Angelo wholeheartedly means. Even more so, after Rocket's attack on him at the base of Meteor Falls some months prior.

Their threat against Latias still rings in his ears when he looks at her, sometimes. Angelo intends to ensure Rocket never gets their hands on her.

He hopes the same eyes don't turn towards Locke now.

(Only those fears are realised during Splashfest.)

With feet meeting grass once more, they return back to Hoenn's land with emptier stomachs than when they left. More mouths to feed, too. But an adventure contently stored in his memories.

“It'll be fine,” comes the casual dismissal, weight slipping off Angelo's shoulders like the clouds that had floated from their clothes as they descended.

“I'm sure De-De wouldn't mind sharing with me,” he grins.
