They might have gone on the defensive but it was an aggressive defense with how much bulk they were building up on their side. A wide guard and an aurora veil? Beautiful.

Still it didn't seem to really worry Rocket as one of them caused snow to slowly fall around them making the goosebumps on Kazimir bump against his forearms skin. Well it could have been the snow or it was fern delaney coming out from the shadows that as soon as Kazimir turned at the sound of darkness morphing behind him his earlier bravado cracked. His feet jumped ever so slightly and tripped over themselves as he fell onto his back, missing luka chêne fortunately and not knocking her over with his large frame. "Behind us!"

The only words that left his mouth managed to catch the attention of his Ceruledge and the knightly Pokemon took two steps towards its trainer when a small petal landed on its shoulder. Gerald Kaiser's Decidueye managed to land the mark on one of its foes as the petal exploded knocking the armored knight off of its feet and in a panic it forced itself an Ally Switch as it turned into light and returned to a ball on Kaz's belt before another ball opened up and a Lucario entered the fray. The explosions were killer on its ears as more petals landed around it and exploded, causing the dog to dance around as it tried to get to its Trainer side to protect itself and Kazimir and luka chêne

Everyone was giving their all in this battle, so Elio decided he would too. Perhaps it was time to spice things up? "Use sandstorm!" He ordered his Garchomp as the dragon/ground pokemon whipped up a storm of sand to obscure the vision of those around him for a short time. Hoping to use this time to formulate his next move. It was a shame about the extra damage the sandstorm would cause to his allies though, they could handle it.

For a moment, it seems as another volley of arrows has targeted them.[break][break]

But it's petals this time, and though Kazimir Wynter has shielded her from yet another attack he can't prevent the damage being dealt to their only means of protection. Luka watches in dismay as her Alomomola's wide guard cracks, then shatters under the onslaught, dissipating into the heavy winds like a fine mist.[break][break]

Whichever Rocket member wields the Decidueye seems to have it out for her. An uncharacteristic scowl mars Luka's pretty face as she glares across the field at them, but the snow and sand whipping around makes it almost impossible to discern any faces.[break][break]

She sucks in a breath through her teeth and tries to stay calm. Rocket hasn't attacked yet, but now that their guards are down, it seems inevitable. If she could throw up another wall she would, but trying to throw up another shield just isn't reliable enough. She's got to actually think this time, which has never been her strong suit.[break][break]

The raging weather around them makes it even harder to think— sand stings her eyes and the freezing cold doesn't help. Although that in itself gives her an idea, half-baked as it might be.[break][break]

"Hey, hey!" She whisper-yells at her team— Kazimir Wynter can probably hear her, but it'll be a wonder if John Sullivan and Callan Young can without straining. "The weather is...can't we use this as cover? F-find a way to get behind their defenses since they can't see us well, or something! I can throw up another guard in a moment, but Madeleine needs to recover first. So can't we make a run for it first? Otherwise, we're just sitting ducks here!"

In the meantime, she throws up whatever defenses she can— in this case, a safeguard to try and shield her allies from any indirect damage.[break][break]

The back half of PHANTOM FORCE lands true.
The first thing Fern noted upon stepping through the opening is Kazimir Wynter tipping backward as a result. A sight that draws a short bark of laughter from the admin before he sets to work. He shrugs as his presence is announced, figuring it was to be expected.[break][break]

A flash of DAZZLING GLEAM permeates the perimeter and despite their vantage, his dragapult still winces back from the bright light. Rather than launch a full scale attack, the translucent dragon floats backward, then up and away from the swirl of explosive petals smattering the league team. As Fern whistles to her to draw her near again, she releases a fanning cloud of DRAGON BREATH into the assembly of their opponents.[break][break]

Intended more in its paralytic effect than its physical. Both would a plus, though, of course.[break][break]

In a flash of light, cecilia is recalled, her work done. Replacing her is Fern’s gengar who LEVITATES around him, looking for the right opening.[break][break]

Aw shit, here we go again.

"You guys alive over there?" Doug called out to Kazimir Wynter as the earth beneath trembled, rocked by explosive petals and a myriad of other attacks, barriers and blessings going off at once.

The cacophony of pitched combat remained as disorienting as ever.

Oh, and the weather was changed. For the third time in the past 30 seconds.

"Well that was a waste of time." Huffed the young soldier as his Frosmoth was returned to its pokeball, before another net ball was thrown into the field.

A rare pokemon took form- a misshapen Scyther by the look of things.

If it were made rock instead of chitin.

"Historia." He said, pointing at oscar clayton's Frosmoth. "Back to the pokeball."

With (perhaps un?)surprising speed and deftness, the large axe-wielding mantis launched into action, the axe heads at the end of its limbs scrapping against the soil underneath with a shimmering glimmer as it closed in onto the ice-bug type and swung its Stone Axes in Criss-Cross pattern towards it.

With that momentarily out of the way, Doug turned his attention to the rest of the group, humming low at luka chêne's words before speaking into the comms.

"I get what'cha mean, but we can't well leave this portal up for grabs." Regardless of what Team Rocket pretended, their goal was the Portal, not their lives. "Any ideas, Young?"

Hopefully Callan Young had something, because the only idea that came to Doug's mind was letting Lele fuck with it... which was still more attractive than the alternative.

He would sooner fuck the portal up than personally surrender it for Rocket use even once.

"Anyone injured?" He asked over the comms after a moment, keeping his tone low. "If you feel in danger, stay close. I'll deal with those wounds."

TL;DR:

-Kleavor used Stone Axe on oscar clayton's Frosmoth.

Neither the SAFEGUARD deployed by his Sandslash nor Gavin's own SHADOW MIASMA can stop the brilliant, expanding flash from Callan Young's Ninetales; though the shrew's STEEL-TYPING allows it to resist, Gavin can only throw up an arm in a belated attempt to shield his eyes. It's too late, however, and he's left blinking furiously to clear the spots from his vision. He barely registers the pain beyond his own spiking adrenaline, his chest tight around his thundering heart.[break][break]

oscar clayton's AURORA VEIL is appreciated; Gavin offers a nod in the vague direction of his ally, eyes still watering.[break][break]

Hearing Gerald Kaiser's call, Gavin clicks his tongue to call his Sandslash close, out of their line of fire. He hears the explosion from the Decidueye's attack, the shattering screens, and orders his Pokémon to follow up with a BLIZZARD.[break][break]

Unfortunately, as the gelid winds begin to pick up, @elio switches the weather to a SANDSTORM, reducing the potential impact of Sandslash's gathering attack. Gavin clenches his jaw. Nothing to do done about it now.

As the weather around them became a mixed mess Kazimir somehow managed to get his footing as his Lucario found its way to his side thanks to his aura flaring up from excitement. Things didn't seem like they were going well and Rocket was giving their all forcing his team to go on the defensive. While it may have been the smart play it was one that wasn't going to win them this fight if they didn't land their own heavy hit against Rocket. The only thing they needed was a chance to do so. As flames from a dragon's breath spread across the field Kazimir took this as a sign that it was now or never to create that chance for them.

"Ok, no more defense. Let's-Arceus damn!" The dragon's breath was moving along the ground and managed to cut right in between Kazimir and his Lucario, catching his leg and singing it with flames as he let out a yell of pain as he rolled on the ground to put out the burns before standing up and putting pressure on the leg as it started to go numb making it tough to stand. Still he had to do it, pull off the move that might just be the game changer. "Skywalker! Let 'em burn!" As he stood up shakily and waved his arms like a flame building up as his body began to glow with a red aura that started to flow from him to his Lucario as Z-Power built up in the both of them.

"Burn out! Inferno Overdrive!" Kaz shouted out as his lucario howled as it raised its arms up into the air to create a large ball of flames before throwing it towards the first thing it could sense with its aura, namely an Alolan!Sandslash who was spewing cold winds all around them.

As an Avatar of Shadows, the Harbinger, Gavin's Shadow Pokémon are stronger than average. Faster. The miasma that swirls around the underboss and his team empowers them with supernatural reflex.[break][break]

They are not, however, invulnerable, and the Z-move executed by Kazimir Wynter's Lucario brings down his Sandslash in a blaze of glory.[break][break]

Gavin grits his teeth and remains impassive.[break][break]

Violet wings spread wide overhead, an intense PRESSURE returning to the field alongside the shadowed legend. Lugia endures the stinging sands with a haunting cry, heralding a crack of THUNDER and a bolt of lightning that slams down toward luka chêne's Alomomola.[break][break]

She was their healer. That meant she had to go down.

Even in the midst of a snowstorm, the glint of a Z-Move and its everpresent energy is easy to identify. From the instrument by which Gerald Kaiser's Z-MOVE synced with his DECIDUEYE to the storm of petals that fired towards the League, Callan knew the following attacks would shatter the WIDE GUARD, albeit dealing damage to a lesser extent to the rest of them. Were it not for luka chêne 's wide guard mitigating 75% of the screen damage, Yukianesa would have likely been knocked out immediately. Still, as the Dragon Breath and the Blizzard comes towards the Pokemon, Yukianesa moves in front of Callan, weathering sand, ice and dragonfire while using the remains of its energy to create a condensed veil around Callan before fainting.

Callan recalls his Ninetales, gritting his teeth. It seemed like there was going to have to be some drastic action in order to get out of this alive. Thankfully, the flames of Kazimir's INFERNO OVERDRIVE seeed to have taken at least one target out of commission for now. Gavin's Shadow Lugia looms overhead, emitting its intense pressure onto the field.

It was time for old reliable.

The battle became considerably more complicated as the defensive strategies dropped. Oscar was content to still fill a support role, but his tune changed as a Sandstorm was kicked up to smother the hail. Oscar clicked his tongue, "The weather's been awful lately."

With no defensive pokemon that could benefit from the surging sand, Oscar decided to take on a more aggressive stance. Yet he would not get the chance to switch out before a massive stone pokemon would charge toward Wrath. Wrath only had a moment to realize she was being attacked before the creature's massive axe smashed her into the ground.

Oscar gasped, taken aback by the sudden strike. Wrath was barely moving, her harsh breathing being the only indication that she was still alive. Images of the death of Wrath's mate Nostra flashed through Oscar's head, and he would hastily withdraw the frosmoth to avoid losing her too.

Oscar pulled another pokeball off his belt, seething as he opened it. A Nidoqueen emerged with a flash, standing tall as he dully observed the chaos around her. Black crystals jutted out from her back and shoulders, an unmistakable sign of her Shadow nature. The lingering splinters from the Stone Axe dug into her hide, but she seemed to barely register such a inconsequential discomfort.

Oscar locked onto John Sullivan, the most likely culprit for this unwelcome Kleavor. Oscar's furious digitized voice would ring out above the sounds of battle, "I'm gonna rip this cave man apart! Desolence, take out the axe fuck!" The Nidoqueen eyed the only pokemon with axes for hands in the vicinity, charging forward with an unnatural grace. Once she closed the distance, she would swing around and attempt to smash the Kleavor with her Iron Tail.

Everything was chaotic. Attacks were flying from one side to the other. Even Decidueye had trouble seeing who was who in this infernal mix of hail and sandstorm. And even if it could, it was growing tired too. But at least it could do one last act of service for this battle.

Decidueye protected Gerald from the blast and heat of the fiery Z-move.

Seeing how Decidueye could do no more. Gerald recalled the Pokémon, a bit annoyed that it had not done more. In its place a Froslass appeared.

“Confuse Ray, on that!” Gerald pointed toward the summoner of fire. Kazimir Wynter’s Lucario.

Froslass acknowledged the command and summoned forth a disorienting ball of energy which it threw in Lucario's direction.

All structure, or whatever there was to start with, in the battle dissolves quickly. Fern supposes this works in his favor having swept in from behind. With attention fixated on Lugia thanks to the efforts of Callan Young ’s toxitricity, and its illuminating moves, he drifts along in the shadows with his gengar.[break][break]

His attention twists away from Kazimir Wynter when the previously enacted DRAGON BREATH takes hold. Just in time to see oscar clayton ’s frosmoth driven to the ground by a kleavor’s attack. “Morty, a little different from the usual, yes?”[break][break]

Taking the cue, the gengar drifts forward, concentrated energy collecting around her body as she channels a heightened FOCUS BLAST square at John Sullivan’s kleavor.[break][break]

A grin slips across their face, thrilled with the scattershot chaos. Morty levitates back to his side, intending to port Fern back to their proper side should they not be deterred in the process.

John Sullivan makes a good point— aside from a half-baked suggestion, Luka has no idea how to carry out any kind of plan involving the weather. At best, it might allow her to make a quick getaway, but it'd be cruel of her to leave the team when they're already so outnumbered.[break][break]

Instead, she tries her best to be a good support for the team as she tries to come up with another plan. But of course, it's not nearly that easy. Preparing defenses quickly shifts into all-out fighting, and she immediately becomes a target.[break][break]

Although her Alomomola tries to put up a fight, the fish is no match for such a direct and brutal attack from the great sea-beast. The thunder from Cillian Quinn's Lugia takes Madeleine out in one blow, and Luka is quick to recall her before any worse damage is done.[break][break]

Small victories come in the form of already established protections: though her Alomomola is no longer on the field, her safeguard remains. Though Gerald Kaiser attempts to confuse Kazimir Wynter's Lucario, he will likely find his attempt thwarted.[break][break]

In the meantime, Luka throws out another Pokemon in the hopes of doing some good for their team. Her Musharna seems a standard choice, but the move they unleash is anything but: there's a rumble underground as a frenzy plant erupts onto the battlefield.[break][break]

Thick, powerful vines lash out, striking with abandon and winding around any enemy they manage to find purchase on. The vines intend to grapple both human and pokemon alike, while another mass swarms to form a wall of foliage around the League's small team— the best protection they've got for now.[break][break]

Aw shit, here we go again.

"You ain't gonna do shit. Aerial Ace!" Doug said at the top of his lungs, hoping the masked oscar clayton heard him.

The Kleavor spread her wings out wide before leaping high in the air over the oncoming Nidoqueen as the foliage around them tore through the soil beneath them without warning, luka chêne's frenzy plant raising a myriad of roots around them.

"Don't pick fights if you don't like bruises, pricks!" Doug said as he popped out above one of the large roots, flipping oscar clayton off. "I don't like beating up bugs any more than you!"

On cue, his flying Kleavor got smacked by an unexpected focus blast and had her maneuvers cut short, dragging an irritable groan out of the soldier as his net ball popped into his hand, returning the Axe-wielding pokemon before it even began to fall.

"Goddamn it— Oi, don't get yourself killed out there!" He shouted after Kazimir Wynter, pointing a digit at the muscle bound man and shooting him with neon pink healing scales. His hand swiveled towards luka chêne's Musharna next, cocking back finger-gun style and smacking it with another flash of pink, injecting a surge of energy into it to get it through Frenzy Plant's 'recharge' process faster.

"Oi, Young." He spoke into the comms as he chucked another pokeball into the field."I can get us out. Thing is— the portal. What's the plan? Leave, regroup, take it back later?"

The pokeball released an Orbeetle out, the darkly colored creature's eyes flashing before it suddenly released a sweeping mass of shadows, sending it hurtling in a crescent at the rocket side.

TL;DR:

-Orbeetle used Shadow Storm.

Well, he had fucked that royally up. Apparently SPOTLIGHT doesn't seem to work in the midst of the borders, he'd have to take that into account the next time he used Bowie. But on the other hand, it was a good thing that it didn't affect either side.

Regardless, he had a plan. "Yeah, one sec." He said, turning towards Doug. "We're bailing ASAP."

Z-Energy courses through his wrists as it also channels through his TOXTRICITY, as it uses TERAVOLT TURNABOUT, Z-Energy floods the League Side through the soundwaves generated by Bowie's music, though it doesn't reach the Rockets. The Z-Move heals every Pokemon and Trainer of their injuries, before increasing all of their parameters significantly.

TOXTRICITY: TERAVOLT TURNABOUT
toxtricity plays a strong that bestows renewed strength to those nearby it. affected pokemon will see their health restored, parameters boosted, and cleansed from previous status effects.

Callan's body felt a hundred times lighter as he seemed to move in a blur, testing his hand, he moves towards the group. "EVERYONE, WE'RE LEAVING! Get to the portal NOW!" He calls to John Sullivan, luka chêne and Kazimir Wynter, all of whom should be ready and able to start making a bail for the portal at superhuman speed. Callan himself does not wait, as he takes grabs their haul and sprints and leaps out the PORTAL.

[EXIT]

Callan's TOXTRICITY uses TERAVOLT TURNABOUT, healing all damage and recover status from League side, as well as boosting the parameters of everyone on the League.
Tells League to make a bail for the portal now.
Grabs the haul and heads out the battle.
