Yes it was like riding a bike since bikes would start to turn with a gentle pull of a handle. Riding Pokémon seemed more freeing though and less work. It was real easy to wear yourself out with all the peddling when it came to riding a bike, well unless it was a dirt bike or a motorcycle since those had motors.

”Yes riding a Pokémon is freeing, I usually walk everywhere which is good exercise but can take awhile,” he admitted. Perhaps he would look more into riding Pokémon though. Though he didn’t have any current Pokémon that could fly him places or get him where he needed to go through water.

With Josh helping Aslan went from a jog to a light run. The bounciness increased though he knew it would be a lot worse if they were riding bareback. The saddle probably decreased the bouncing to make it more bearable. But he was still enjoying himself.

The older male asked him how he was doing. ”I’m good, I’m more use to it since you had him at a full sprint earlier,” he admitted. He found it a lot better than riding a bike. To him the seats on a bike hurt. Which was why he didn’t often ride one.[break] Josh Devlin

He could see what the other male was talking about. For someone who didn’t stay fit he was sure it would be hard on them. He walked everywhere he went though not to mention he practiced his dance routines pretty frequently. That had left him with a pretty good physique, and because of that his body was use to being put through the wringer since some of his dance routines were pretty rough.

”I can see what you mean and I thought my dance routine were a challenge. If you’re not to careful you can tear a muscle if you don’t take proper care of your body before dancing,” he explained. So one had to keep themself pretty fit to not harm themselves if they wanted to make a living with dancing.

”Can’t blame them there I suppose everyone has that one thing they just want to show off. May it be talent or something else,” he said with a small shrug. He supposed idols or fellow artist were the ones who would be able to relate the most to that. Since they based their careers on showing off. Though he didn’t like to think of it that way.

Okay so he didn’t want to do to much at once so he wouldn’t be going the fastest speed. ”Right I’ll refrain from that then. At least for now. I like being out over the water though I usually have to stick to the ferry. Ace doesn’t care for the ferry would’ve jumped off when it started moving if I hadn’t put him back in his pokeball,” he said shaking his head expression amused.[break] Josh Devlin

Aslan began to slow down and when he came to a stop Jade got off. After his feet had touched the shore he watched as Josh returned Aslan to his pokeball before walking out into the shallows while taking out another pokeball. He was curious of what Pokémon it could be.

It wasn’t long before he had his answer. A Dragonair came out of the pokeball. Watching the Pokémon he couldn’t help but smile. Dragonair was always a Pokémon he had always liked. Though it he wanted to add a Pokémon to his team that he could use in the water he would probably prefer to have a Milotic.

”I’ve always liked Dragonair, I would’ve ever want to evolve it if I ever acquired one though. Nothing against Dragonite, but I prefer Dragonair,” he said with a small shrug. ”I can only imagine how that would feel, I hear it’s similar to riding a gyrados in that regard,” he said as he remembered having often seen gyrados jumping out of the water.

When the other male was ready he climbed on behind the older male. He was content to let the older male take point. Even if it was similar to riding on land according to the gym leader. ”Should probably refrain from that for now,” he said.

He didn’t mind getting all wet. After all he could just get dried off if that was the case. It was just that he had never been able to open his eyes underwater. [break] Josh Devlin

His enthusiasm was contagious and he couldn’t help but let his grin grow. ”Yeah most people just want to get their Pokémon fully evolved. But I feel like sometimes the earlier evolutions are better. Take the Treecko evolutionary line for an example I’d rather keep it as a Grovyle if I ever got one than have it fully evolve,” he told the older male.

”Anyway as much as I enjoy talking about Pokémon perhaps we should get started,” he said agreeing with him that they should get going. The Dragonair dove into the air causing the older male to lean back a bit before the dragon pokemon landed back into the lake.

The Dragonair ended up fully emerged but they weren’t. Only their legs were submerged in the water. It didn’t take long with Resheph propelling them through for them to leave the shore behind them. Once they were a good distance away Josh began to guide the swimming dragon.

Now that he saw what he was doing he realized he was right. It was the same as if they were riding on land. ”It’s interesting how much similarities there are between riding a Pokémon on land or over water,” he said as he continued to watch what the older male was doing.[break] Josh Devlin

”Everyone has their preferences as well as different things they like to do. Being an idol the kind of Pokémon I choose don’t really matter. Though my fan base does expect me to have Pokémon with a certain aesthetic,” he explained to the younger male. His fan base often wanted him to have cool looking Pokémon or Pokémon that were considered pretty.

Well it was good that to have options. ”Flying seems interesting as well. I don’t mind heights. When I was younger I use to go up to the roof of whatever hotel me and my father was staying in and stare up at the stars. It’ll probably be way different when it comes to flying though,” he said with a low chuckle.

Listening to what he had to say he couldn’t help but be surprised. Super sized Pokémon? This was the first he had heard of something like this. ”Yeah most second-stage Pokémon are too small to make good ride Pokémon,” he agreed before continuing. ”Super size Pokémon must be a sight though. Though I don’t think I would be real capable at dealing with them,” he admitted with a shake of his head.

The fact that they didn’t stay as alpha Pokémon was a surprise. He wondered why the pokeballs and alpha status of pokemon was incompatible. ”Its hard to imagine a Pokémon that big. I think it would be fun to ride though,” he said looking thoughtful.

Hearing what he said he tightening his grip on the older male. It was while they were doing the turn that he noticed something from his peripheral vision making him turn his attention in that direction out of a curious. So focused on seeking out what had caught his attention he missed the older males whoop.

His gaze finally landed on a small island that had an electrike. ”An electrike,” he mused taking the pokeball with Nebula in hand. He tossed the pokeball onto the island causing Nebula to appear. The Absol looked around before immediately sending a night slash towards the electric type.

The electrike retaliated with tackle which hit but didn’t really faze Nebula. His Pokémon than used knock off followed by quick attack. Seeing that electrike was starting to struggle to keep up he threw an empty pokeball at it causing it to get sucked up. Now he would just have to see if the catch was successful.[break] Josh Devlin
