Hearing what he said he just nodded. They were both well known for a skill they possessed. It something they had in common. Though sometimes he struggled with moderation when it came to practice. Being an idol was everything to him but sometimes he found it hard to step away from practice. These riding lessons were more of a forced brake that he had forced himself to take so he wouldn’t collapse from pushing himself to hard.

The conversation thankfully moved on. And he had to admit he was intrigued with the idea of meeting large Pokémon. ”I think I’ll take you up on that. Eeveelutions are all so cute so it would be interesting to see supersized ones.” And he was sure size wouldn’t change their normal dispositions.

”Thanks! My first was my Absol he has been with me since I was ten, he’s the one I have the strongest bond with,” he said watched as the pokeball stopped moving showing he he had caught the Electrike. Now he would have an Electrike on his team and he was sure Nebula would help her get settled on the team.

Hearing the gym leader speak he turned his attention back to the gym leader. ”Yeah, let’s get my Pokémon first than we can take off,” he agreed. Getting his Electrike and the returned Nebula didn’t take that long. Once he had them they would take to the skies.[break] Josh Devlin

The fact the gym leader was suspended from his gym was definitely a surprise. Since they’d met he had come off as a nice person. So he wondered what someone as nice as Josh had done to get suspended. From what he understood about league officials it had to be something pretty serious. He didn’t see them suspending him for something light.

He decided not to ask. It wasn’t any of his business. And he tended not to stick his nose into another person’s business. ”I’m pretty patient, so I’m fine with waiting,” he told the older man. Being patient was something he had to acquire while living with his father, mainly because he didn’t want impatience to develop into a temper. Which definitely wouldn’t have ended well considering the kind of man his father is.

The young man had been watching Nebula as she had taken on the Electrike but turned his attention to the gym leader when he spoke. The thought of his Pokémon sparring had never crossed his mind. Mainly because he had never seen the point of battles. He had seen the way his father commanded his Pokémon in a battle which was another reason he had a problem with his father. But he often wondered if his Pokémon were okay with not battling. Nebula seemed to enjoy facing off against the wild Pokémon after all.

”I suppose so at least I should get use to Pokémon battles in case I can’t avoid them,” he said as he resumed watching Nebula to make sure he didn’t get to hurt. He didn’t and he succeeded in catching the Electrike. Unsurprisingly the older male agreed to let him get his Pokémon.

He raised his legs when he was told spotting the problem as well. There was always a solution to a problem though and while Josh kept the Feraligatr busy he would collect his Absol and Electrike. He would turn back towards the gym leader just in time to witness the end of his battle and the capture of the Feraligatr.

”It’s cool you can mega evolve your Absol,” he would say once he had successfully collected his Pokémon. Nebula not being to happy about being returned to her pokeball after having just been released. Now that he had collected his Pokémon and once the gym leader had collected his newly acquired Pokémon he was sure they would finally be able to sour through the skies.[break] Josh Devlin

”Unsure about doing the gym circuit,” he admitted frowning slightly. ”I’ll need to think more about the whole gym thing. But in the meantime I wouldn’t mind having a friendly battle. I’m sure my Pokémon would enjoy the chance to show off their battle prowess,” he said with a chuckle as he remember how Nebula had seemed to enjoy going up against the side pokemon.

Hearing his next response he sighed. ”It’s unfortunate really. I’m sure my father will be proud of me for once if that happened,” he said clearly not fond of the idea of being made to fight. It wasn’t out of selfishness. Don’t get him wrong he liked helping those around him. But hurting others didn’t sit well with him, even if it was his Pokémon that was doing the hurting. It would still be under his orders.

As Josh talked about Twilight and mega stones he couldn’t help but he curious. ”Didn’t know mega stones could break. But it’s a good thing you got another one,” he said before continuing. ”What exactly did you have to do to get a new one though?”

The idea of what Josh had in mind made him uncertain but he nodded. ”Always looking to try new experiences,” he told the older mainly. What he said was true. And that was mainly because he couldn’t say he missed out if he tried it. [break] Josh Devlin

As long as it was unofficial he would be fine. Because he had never given much to taking on the gym circuit. ”Just know I won’t hold back. I’m to stubborn of a person to do that,” he said flashing the older male a grin. Basically if he wanted something he would do everything within reason to obtain it. So he did have a Pokémon battle with someone than he would be battling to win.

He listened to everything he had to say with interest. The young man didn’t know it took so much work to make mega stones. Though he didn’t know who either of those people were. It did make him curious if other people had to go to so much trouble when it came to mega stones though.

As he went over what had happened he listened to what he had to say. ”Sounds like quite the adventure. I’ve never been along that route before. But because I never had a way of taking the route. Once Neptune fully evolves I’ll see about checking it out,” he told them gym leader. He would need scuba gear though if what the dark haired male said was any indication.

Upon hearing the older male he braced himself. The new speed the Dragonair entered was definitely something. And like what Josh had said it was like riding a rollercoaster. Not that he had been on many rollercoasters in his lifetime. It was something only he had been on once or twice during his lifetime.

Though from what he remembered of them he had enjoyed them. And this was pretty fun as well. ”That was exhilarating,” he said once the gym leader had brought them back to shore. His heart was still racing from the ride they had just had. He hadn’t whooped like the gym leader but unlike the older male he had to take care of his voice. He couldn’t risk losing his voice.

Once he was sure he wouldn’t fall flat on his face he got off. ”I wouldn’t mind another riding experience like that,” he said as he fixed his hair so that it was no longer poking him in the eye. Feeling his phone vibrate he looked down at his phone before returning his attention to the gym leader.

”Well I’ve got to run, I had a good time though,” he told the older male before taking off in the direction on Mauville.[break] Josh Devlin
