meeting after meeting. [break][break]

her schedule is filled to the brim, and she's a busy woman. all things considered, it's a miracle that she was able to find and slot in a small window of relief - especially when word reaches that her company was able to land a small collaboration with quite the popular musician; and not without her fair share of controversies. [break][break]

sheba is a busy woman; she doesn't have time to deal with the press nor the media. she doesn't have time to deal with children who found themselves under the spotlight of interrogation, but there are the occasional sparks that shine brighter in the radiant space. yes, the radiant space she's made for herself to gaze up on. was it arrogant for her to pick out the ones that glow? [break][break]

the ones who make it through are the most beautiful, she finds. diamonds in the rough, regardless of upbringing or connections. [break][break]

it's why she bothered, really. it's why she snapped back at the PR team that seemed a little anxious with her decision. it's why she looked to her secretary and doubled down when she said she wanted her schedule freed. it's a very important meeting - it's a meeting with a woman she's only met once, or a few times, while she was still in her teenage years. it was brief, but she was peppy. cheery. what is she like now? beyond these office doors, a girl is sitting on a couch she was brought to. sheba, with a deep breath, gathers herself and turns the knob with a smile. [break][break]

"blooms?" she asks, walking in with the click of her heels. as she walks to the couch where the woman sits, she holds her hand out. "inoue. thank you for taking the time out of your day to meet with me."

Her heels echoed as they entered the Inu Headquarters, a short walk from her previous meeting back at the Teravolt offices in the upper district of Slateport City relating to upcoming promotional activities. Things were beginning to pick up exponentially since Desiree and the crew finally got the ball rolling on the electric daisy and it couldn't feel better; sure, it was beginning to take up more and more of her time, but sleep was for the weak anyways. This afternoon would consist of a meeting with an executive of the Inu makeup brand and a little styling here and there, hopefully bringing on an established partnership just as she had with the Kalosian fashion brand 'Kalona'.[break][break]

She'd hoped above all else that the executives were unaware of the scandal in Lumiose, as it was becoming apparent that regional news trickled outward far more than she anticipated. Sitting blissfully on the soft couch she had been escorted to wait upon, her dazzling acrylics would tap on the textile to invite her accompanying Skitty up, soon curling up in a ball beside her. Like the other headquarter spaces she'd got the chance to visit prior to today, this one appeared just as exquisite, dazzling in their refinery.[break][break]

Golden optics darting up from the swarovski crystals adorning her white and pink maxi dress when the door opened, they would widen at the sight that had presented itself from deeper within- there was no way Sheba was the one that would be hosting the meeting, it was just too good to be true. But the voice matched the appearance, Desiree was sure of it! Listening to her greeting would confirm her already firm hunch from appearance alone, causing her cheeks to become flustered in glimmering pink under the white-ink tattoos on her cheeks.[break][break]

"Ohmyarceus, Sheba~? ♡" She'd melt, her hand raising to interlock with her fellow musician's in a shaky demeanor. She had dreamed of this moment since she was a teenager; it felt healing to her inner child, finally being able to be within her idol's presence for longer than a simple childish meet and greet. "No, thank you~! You must be so busy with the promotion of your new album, I cried when I listened to it, it's beautiful." Standing from the fluffy couch, her hands would clasp together with joy, crystalline rings clinging together.[break][break]

Legends meeting their legends was always a sight to behold, but Desiree could not help but wonder why Sheba Inoue wished to meet with her instead of one of her executives down the line. If she had known of her existence at all.. well, she'd only melt some more. Shamelessly, she'd look the ceo up and down in disbelief for a moment; having dealt with fans of her own, she'd keep the starstruck want to hug her idol hidden behind her smile.[break][break]

"I just can't believe it's really you~! ♡ I'm lowkey starstruck as hell, but like.. what made you want to collaborate with me of all people? Hoenn's packed to the brim with musicians, and I just got here a month ago."

maybe there wasn't a need to be worried. [break][break]

not when she greets her so enthusiastically, and so energetically. sheba had half the mind to believe that she was struggling, only a little bit, with the scandals that surfaced. she knows, as someone who grabbed the leash and yanked the one who held it. it's a shark water world, and the public was the worst weapon anyone could wield against a person (and there were too many people who were eager to stoke the flames; what sets sheba apart was her willingness to snuff out the spark before the fire followed). [break][break]

"you flatter me." she manages to muster, still, attempting to maintain a somewhat formal guise in the face of absolute excitement. sheba has to remind herself that this is for business and, although her potential influencer was someone she's painfully familiar with, sheba has to maintain her airs. [break][break]

yet when her hand lowers, she can't help but to wryly chuckle with a slightly raised brow. "thank you.. i did not expect it to become as popular as it has.." and she certainly didn't think that so many news and music outlets were so eager to pounce. it'd be naive to think that it'd be able to fly under the radar, but was it naive to think that it wouldn't blow up as much as it did? especially not when there were two other albums released that same season, both of which topped charts in their own respects. "i've been more focused on the promotion of my company, rather than my music~.." [break][break]

but maybe it's to be expected; she was involved with music before she was involved with make up. [break][break]

the giddy, poorly contained energy that exudes from the young woman is.. overpowering, for one. it's almost endearing for another. were it not for her restraint and formalities, maybe she'd indulge on a hug for a fan - or a hug for another idol who was swept up in controversy. what she sees in front of her is a child (a child who's been through enough, and who will go through more with her music). the questions she suddenly asks helps as a transition - because god knows she'd only be a little awkward shifting the fangirling into business. [break][break]

"ahem.. yes." she clears her throat first, sitting down at the couch at the opposite side of a wood and glass table. she wears a smile, though it's one softer, and warmer, and welcoming. "you've recently released an album as well, haven't you? i've listened to it." she hums, reaching into a bag, and pulling out a laptop to quickly boot up as she speaks. "and i have plans for a new collection, with different music genres as the motif." she chuckles softly, eyes going from the screen back to the young lady. [break][break]

"an edm-inspired palette in your image would be fun, wouldn't it?~"
