Just a bit of a way out from Pacifidlog Town and the water routes, Desiree found herself on top of one of those floating wooden platforms surrounded by water and the occasional rock spire; those ones that were anchored into the seafloor, unable to drift out into nowhere. It would be the perfect place to go fishing the Cramorant way. Early morning so that the wild pokemon were out more than ever before, in a place shallow enough to where a treasure could be 'accidentally' reeled in, the pinkette knew this would be the place to exhibit what she had witnessed those birds do back in the Safari Zone. Altaria wouldn't be able to gulp stuff up like that, but that was okay because she'd still be able to help grab onto any wandering fishies and floating items near the surface.[break][break]

Sitting upon a little picnic blanket, the dragon-type bundle of fluff and her trainer sat on the bobbing wooden surface awaiting to spot something, anything. There were little holes to place your fishing poles embedded in the wood with minuscule stands, and even a few Krabby traps in the depths hooked onto the edge with a long rope. Being a community space, they would all be free to use- even the fishing poles that sat there unattended.[break][break]

For now, though, Desiree would soak up the sun while sitting with Puff, ready to see what could potentially float by on the calm waves.

Up bright and early in the morning as always, Noel began another day of his ongoing journey into the world. He had been running low on supplies but especially food and he decided for today that fish would be on the menu. He sets out with his standard attire of a plain blue shirt, track shorts and sandals towards the rocky sea. Finding a wooden raft that he knew not who it belonged to but no one was using so he took it for himself that day, he would bring it back later if he remembered. Wading through the sea he stops and anchors his wooden vessel somewhere not too close or far away from Desiree Bloom's own platform. Yet he didn't pay her any attention just yet. Although he had the tools to fish like any normal person could, he instead brings out a pokeball from his belt containing his trusty Druddigon. Setting him out onto the water, it immediately begins to use its claws to swipe at the nearby fish, causing waves to form from all its thrashing about that would definitely disturb any other raft in the sea.[break][break]

Ha ha ha! Just like that Druddigon, make sure you catch enough fish for all of us to eat tonight!"[break][break]

The pair were making a huge commotion, their ruckus could be heard all over and were quite possibly disturbing any other people trying to fish on this otherwise normal day. They were surely scaring away most of the fish in the area causing most others to sail and try their luck in another location. Yet Noel was oblivious to all this, he was only thinking of himself and his own needs and not paying attention to anything else.[break][break]

Lowering her heart-shaped sunglasses to sit deeper onto her nose, Desiree would look toward the commotion that was occurring a few breaths away from the wooden platform. A blue-haired boy and his Druddigon making the ocean their own; it was a bit bashful, and her first thought was not to judge. But then she saw all of the fish swimming away through the clearer parts of the waves, frightened by the dragon type's claw attacks.[break][break]

"Hey, you over there~! ♡" She'd shout in his direction, raising her tattoed hands up to cup around her lips. "That's kinda scaring the fishies away, you don't want that, right!" Maybe this was one of those individuals that embraced chaotic darkness in their ways, or maybe he was just oblivious to it all. Lighting up a cigarette after rummaging in her purse, the pinkette's smoke would drift just over the resting Altaria beside her; there were no fish to catch anymore, so why not sit for a bit?[break][break]

Maybe it would be best to check all of the crab traps, for now, at least. "Wanna come over here, blue-haired guy? We can share what my Altaria catches, I brought some bait! ♡" A kind invitation to a stranger wouldn't hurt, because, after all, it would just maybe stop his fellow dragon from tearing it up out there.

"Hmm? Who could that be?"[break][break]

Noel turns around to face the incredibly pink and energetic girl. Noticing its majestic Altaria, a pokemon that seemed very fitting for its trainer. He beckons Druddigon over with a hand motion, who had just finished piling up a load of fish onto their wooden raft, and began to push it towards Desiree's own. Stopping it right next to the young lady's and now awaiting for what's to come.[break][break]

"Thank you for the kind proposition miss, but we've already gotten enough for tonight, however I wouldn't mind sharing some of what we've caught if you'd like. I'm sure this is way more than we needed."[break][break]

He notices the cigarette burning in the young lady's mouth. It was not to his liking but to each their own he thought. He was not one to judge someone based on minor inconveniences or vices. For all he knew she could be a kind-hearted girl with a terrible habit. Once the smoky fragrance reached his nose he let out a soft cough but managed to keep the rest of it suppressed. He didn't want to seem rude to the new stranger.[break][break]

"That's so sweet of you! ♡ Feel free to put any of your extras in my cooler~!" She'd smile, pulling on the crab trap until it would break the waves crashing upon the side of the platform. An old-fashioned crab trap by the looks of it, when she'd pull it on top of the platform it would appear that a few six or seven Krabby were inside, feasting away at the bait at the center. Desiree wasn't one to boil them herself, that sounded horrendous and so cruel- but selling them could further on their fate, either by trainer or by chef.[break][break]

As the stranger approached, she'd just finished loading up all the water-type pokemon in the large bedazzled pink cooler that sat beside her. Desiree couldn't help but obliviously dismiss his cough; summer allergies were such a real thing, especially ragweed, even if they were on the oceanside. Her Altaria, Puff, had managed to spot a wild tiny fishlike pokemon swimming about and would soon scoop it up with her beak.[break][break]

Taking another long drag of her cigarette, the ash would subside in the surrounding waters and would soon be swept away deeper into the sea. "So what's your name, blue-haired guy? ♡ I'm Desiree, a pleasure to meet you!" She'd push back her sunglasses to engulf her vision in opaque pink, curiosity beaming through them.

"My name is Noel... Noel Parker. Its good meeting you as well Miss Desiree. What brings you out here in these waters? Are you also fishing for supplies like I am?"[break][break]

He would help put about half of the fish he had caught into the cooler Desiree provided. Giving the heftier, meatier fish to her as a sign of goodwill but one that no one would ever notice. Afterwards he would let loose the rest of his pokemon onto the now connected boats. The small Eevee and Rowlet appearing onboard while the hasty Frogadier enters into the water, its more suitable habitat. [break][break]

"These are the rest of my companions, they've been with me for as long as I can remember and I cherish each day with them."[break][break]

He kneels down to pet the curiosity filled Eevee, it always wanting to explore and see new sights on their journey. While Rowlet scurries behind Noel, afraid of anything unknown to it and quick to hide from any social meeting. Frogadier swims all throughout the ocean, finally given the chance to freely stretch its legs. And finally Druddigon rests itself against the raft it had previously been pushing, spending its time in leisure and calmness.[break][break]

"Mhm~♡! Moreso to give Puff here a lil' bit of a beach day, but that kinda comes with the territory, so~" She'd smile, giving the dragon-type a soft nuzzle against her fluffy wings. The thought of telling the kind soul that she was planning on selling all of her catches was something she steered clear from, because, well, he just put so much of his load into her cooler. Desiree wasn't fond of killing and then frying up fish like that, after all; and she already had far over six figures in her bank account, the blessing of nepotism and music sales.[break][break]

Noticing the emergence of Noel's pokemon from the tiny little boats that had accompanied him over, Desiree would be quick to wave and kneel down, offering her arm for any that wished for friendly pets. All of them were so cute, even the spiky dragon that had torn up the wandering fishies moments prior- she'd maybe keep petting him for a much later date, but the two that were on the platform were just as precious as they were tiny.[break][break]

Taking a long drag of her cigarette, she pointed out towards a larger water-type oceanic pokemon, leading Puff to embark into another catching journey. "That's sweet, it's great to see others that view their pokemon as companions rather than tools. Which one was your first catch, and how did you meet them? ♡"

"Hmmm those are good questions... My memory is a bit hazy when I try to think so far back, but I do know that that one's been with me through thick and thin."[break][break]

He turns his head towards the sea, his Frogadier gracefully swimming along the ocean. He admired how free-spirited it was, they were like two peas in a pod together and he wouldn't have it any other way. Noel switches his gaze back towards Desiree and asks.[break][break]

"And what do you do for a living Desiree? I've never met anyone quite like you and you've got me interested, if you don't mind me asking that is."[break][break]

Ever so eager to learn more about the world and its people, Noel's question was genuine. He always loved hearing about the roles that each trainer takes and their day to day lives. It made him feel more at ease to know there were others like him, traveling and seeking their own path.[break][break]

His Eevee would be quick to jump at Desiree's hand, nuzzling against it for petting and affection. The Rowlet, however, would jump up to Noel's shoulder, perching upon it to find comfort with its trainer.

Giving Noel's Eevee all of the affection and attention in the world, she'd look alongside him toward the ocean waves and his swimming Frogadier with dreamy sunlit eyes, giving a smile. "Oh, your lil' froggy guy? That's so precious! My first was my Tropius, but she's visiting my garden plot right now in Fortree ♡." Though she was quite fond of keeping deeper, past the surface-level things about herself in her mind alone, oversharing wholesome things like that was becoming quite the habit for Desiree as of late![break][break]

While the two would talk, Puff the Altaria would hone in for that big catch- though, when it got closer it seemed to be a big school of different kinds of multi-colored fishies instead. Hitting the swarm head-on with a MOONBLAST, bridging the surface, and launching into the beyond, quite the count of the fish would surface. They had taken the brute of the glimmering fairy strike; plucking the knocked out ocean-dwelling pokemon from their float one by one, the dragon would carry the load over on her back, tucked in her cloud wings.[break][break]

"Oh, I don't mind sharing one bit~! I produce electronic synth music and sing, my fans in Kalos call me the Electric Daisy Princess~♡." She'd inhale her smoke while ruffling up the hair on the Eevee's head, lovingly. "But yeah, I'm signed onto Teravolt Records and have been working with them for my new album that just came out. And you're a fisherman, yes?"[break][break]

She couldn't help but assume, given their surroundings and Noel's knack for gathering so many fishies in such little time. Enamored by her fascination, Desiree was much more focused on the conversation at hand than her Altaria dropping in enough water types to completely fill her cooler.

Her description of herself along with her music flew over Noel's head. He didn't know the first thing about music and although he might disappoint Desiree by not knowing she is was he thought it would be best to be honest with each other and speak from the heart.[break][break]

"I'm... very sorry Miss Desiree but I've never heard of any of those things. I don't really listen to music but if what you say is true then it sounds like you've got yourself a good business going on."[break][break]

The Electric Daisy Princess. Noel would have to remember that for the future. After their time together he would make sure to stop by the nearest store and see if they have anything of hers. He had no idea what electronic synth was but he assumed it to be good music with how warm and welcoming she was.[break][break]

And well... no I don't do this for a living. I actually just travel the region and am on my way to collect gym badges, that's my goal although its not as grand as what you're currently doing I bet."[break][break]

With both Desiree's cooler and Noel's raft being filled to the brim with the fish Pokemon they desired, Druddigon goes back to relaxing against their boat. With amazing speed Frogadier would continue to rack up the fish count, Smacking Down each fish as a way to test its own reflexes.[break][break]

Even if Noel hadn't recognized either the name or her music releases, she would still smile; she knew that music wasn't for everyone, and was aware that hers definitely wasn't. "Oh, that's totally okay~! ♡ For sure, it's definitely proving to be just as successful over here as it was in Kalos- I was worried for a bit about that, but all is flourishing." It was a bit strange to think about just how different the boy was in comparison to herself in that regard, as the single most important thing to her was for lack of a better term nothing in his eyes, though it wasn't a bad thing.[break][break]

Putting out her cigarette in a heart-shaped ashtray and lighting up another, she'd witnessed the dazzling wish to take on the league challenge in his determined words. Though that wasn't on the top of her list of priorities, Desiree wished to one day accomplish the same; badges were sparkly, and the ability to test the bond between pokemon and trainer was a magnificent opportunity. After her race against Josh Devlin, she'd wished to continue in that, though at her own pace.[break][break]

"I wish you the best of luck with earning those badges~! It's quite the challenge, yanno- I challenged my first, what, a month ago?" She'd ponder, stroking her free hand through the cloudy tufts upon the Altaria's back. "Yeah, I think that's right. But I went into it almost blindly and it was much more of a test than I originally thought~"[break][break]

Her eyes would widen a bit when she'd noticed during their talk that the cooler was now almost overflowing with fishies- though it would be best to get them to the nearest shop as soon as possible, she would wait for Noel to express his want to wrap up their lil' fishing marathon. It wasn't her fault she was feeling too lazy to get up and get all packed, it was the nicotine's.

His mood brightened more at the mention of her own gym challenge. He had met another fellow trainer on the same path as him and it excited him. He knew far too well how tough it could be and reflected on his own journey up to this point.[break][break]

Meanwhile Frogadier appears from the ocean, rising up from the water and landing onto Noel's raft, taking a rest by sitting against the post in the middle of it. Noel's Eevee and Rowlet had begun to look tired as well, yawning softly as the day began to set. Some time had past now since their meeting and the sun was starting to fall. He looks at his Pokemon and decides its best to head back to town.[break][break]

"Heh, I know how that must be, I've had quite the difficulty trying to get my own but I'm glad to see someone else who's collecting them like I am. I think its time we start heading our separate ways, its getting late and our Pokemon must be tired from all the catching they did."[break][break]

He raises a hand and sets it forward in front of him, trying to go for a handshake with the young trainer.[break][break]

"It was great meeting you however and I hope our paths cross again soon. I'm sure you're destined for great things."[break][break]
