After having hit as many of the food stands as she and Genevieve Cromwell could find, another match loomed behind the walls of yet another arena. There was a certain level of familiarity upon seeing the name of whom she was set to face off against, but as she was much better with faces rather than names, Desiree couldn't quite place it at first. Running in with bright eyes and fluttering hair, with a basket of Appletun back-crisps, of course, she smiled at the stranger and shook his hand with all the love in the world.[break][break]

Perhaps she caught a glimpse of Ollie somewhere, like at the holiday party, but she still couldn't quite remember- despite how that night was one that she would remember clearer than all the rest, as it was filled with nothing but limitless love. "Bonjour~! ♡ The pleasure is all mine, Desiree, yes~," she giggled, plopping one of her yum yums between her lips, ".. and you're.. Ollie Morales!" He appeared refined, a kind-hearted person at face value. It was an obvious remark, however, as she learned his name through the match setups.[break][break]

The Hatterene that stood beside her, Gloss, bore its fangs at Tofu just like all the other opponents it had the opportunity to train against. A sinister lil' thing, the fairy imagined all the ways it could weave its whimsical attacks against the Pikachu to its advantage; it was silent yet competitive, vicious.[break][break]

"Don't hold back now ♡," she encouraged, gracefully skipping to her side of the arena, ".. Gloss has a preference for facing off against the strongest of the strong~! And she aims to win, always~!"

"Yes~! ♡ Well, I just know your name if I'm being honest," she smiled, releasing a pop-up stool from its confines and getting comfortable upon its cushion, ".. from the matchups~! But I swear I've seen it somewhere before.. are you famous or something?"[break][break]

Perhaps he was a pop star just like her! Albeit she had never heard a song that matched with the title, it would make sense with the charms that vacated his lips every time he spoke. Being that she was unaware of his occupation and prominence, battling against him was exciting in the fact that she had no idea what to expect; it was stranger against stranger, coincidentally the first matchup she had with such a premise. But that promoted her brain to wish for a change in that regard.[break][break]

Seeing the willingness to hold nothing back brought Gloss to release a whimsical call, ready for an ethereal, limitless clash. It had not helped that the GHOSTLY TERA CROWN brought to its hat reinforced its superiority complex, too. The speed brought by the Pikachu was enough to push it off its feet into the air with its TRAILBLAZE, a subtle ache following suit- that which was numbed with the adrenaline. Twisting its body within the air and angling downward with its ribbon arm, the silent pokemon giggled as it attempted a glowing drop-down with a PSYCHO CUT, pulsating with magenta energies.[break][break]

Colorful lights dance behind his eyes as he stares at himself in the reflection of the other's GHOST TERA CRYSTAL, before he shakes his head to clear himself of his thoughts.

So it seemed he was not acquainted with the music industry or any of its similar occupations, just a humble, sweet guy! Or maybe he was being a little too humble, trying to hide the fact that his occupation outweighed even the most stellar of idols that called the fucked up world they lived in their home; Desiree typically wasn't one to hold back when it came to her elite status, using her combined earnings from nepotism and album launches to give her what she thought she deserved. Materialistic, but if you asked her, she would simply say she liked the finer things in life and could afford them with little to no breaking of her wallet.[break][break]

"I was there, yes~! ♡ I was giving out the sparkling pink blossoms you may have seen some people wearing on their tuxedos and dresses," she smiled, removing a glittering puff from her bag to bring additional shine to her cheeks, ".. annd I am a bit famous, I'm a popstar~! ♡ My fans call me the Electric Daisy Princess."[break][break]

The forest fairy found delight in the peering that was Tofu's eyes meeting its crystalline crown, as it loved to joyously show off its temporary and permanent material possessions. Kicking up dust as it neared closer within its psychic levitation of pressure, Gloss was stopped in its tracks when the electric type began to sing; it was just as beautiful as it was damaging, bringing the wretched energies of the darkened forest to subside within its mind. In an attempt to bring back the nature it held dear to its heart, the Hatterene was quick to imbue its body with a whimsical light, casting DAZZLING GLEAM in its direction.[break][break]

"I have a minor league gym in Evergrande City too~! ♡ If you've been there before, it looks like an antique castle with paintings and graffiti all over its front side," she smiled, clasping her hands together at the trills of Tofu's voice, ".. it's by a botanical garden, too~! ♡"

[break][break] The DAZZLING GLEAM casts a bright, shimmering light across the arena. The brillance shrouds the arena for a moment, blinding both trainer and pokemon.

Desiree clasped her hands together at the pseudo recognition, the gazes that inevitably traveled inward rather than outward that night- she considered it natural for her to have not focused on anyone other than her date, as the event had been where they had confessed their feelings to one another. Quite the public display rather than private, but it was all the more fitting for a popstar at such a high-profile gathering. "I was~! ♡ It was a night to remember," she smiled, bringing a flame to the tip of a cigarette within her seat, ".. you know my love, then? Have you two embarked on adventures together?"[break][break]

A friend of Thomas Benoit's was a friend of hers, even if they had just met.[break][break]

The Hatterene that whimsically released its ethereal calls with previous bright light seemed to not be the only one able to cast out radiant fractals, that which provoked agony at the display. It tried to hop out of the way of the discharge but to no avail, feeling the hairs tucked beneath its hat and crown come to a stand, just like all the times the pinkette had rubbed a balloon against them in the form of affection. Drowned out by the crackle and seethe that followed, it seemed to not be holding up well against Tofu; how disappointing, not to the idol, but to the wretched witch of the forest.[break][break]

Tipping its hat forward with its ribbon arm after rapidly levitating backward, pushed back by the electricity, it attempted to unleash PSYCHIC waves as a last-ditch effort. Though, it was starting to feel quite drained after being shown up so much.[break][break]

[break][break] The word stirred something deep inside his chest, a mixture of jealousy and intrigue, because while DESIREE BLOOMS had been confessing her love to the handsome Thomas Benoit, Ollie had been destroying his own love life from the inside out. It made a shadow cross his face, if only slightly, before to be cleared like a summer sky.

[break][break] "Your love?" he chuckled. It was definitely something he could use to tease Thomas Benoit at a later date. "I guess you could say that! We've worked together before. He's pretty cool!"

[break][break] PSYCHIC waves lashed out towards him and Tofu leapt back in an attempt to avoid them. It still damaged him anyway, latching onto his bright pelt, like hands that reached for him to scald and control.

[break][break] Green energy shimmered in a border around the Pikachu as he summoned a TRAILBLAZE attack to dart around the psychic waves, and then attempt to get to the witch's side and pummel her into a headbutt.

The way interpersonal relationships were so easily woven within the cruel world was just enough to shed a bit of light on the cracks of darkness; it led her to dissuade thoughts of paranoia that there was hardly any love left. Ollie seemed to be one of those who had been lucky enough to live vicariously- and she wanted to be like those people, she wanted to be like him.[break][break]

"That's so lovely~! ♡" She smiled, twirling a strand of hair through her fingers. "What fond memories come to mind? ♡" It was a bit of a nosy question, but she couldn't help it- all the stories that he had told her were enough to get her brain twirling into curiosities, perhaps she already knew of one she could place the ranger's face into.[break][break]

Despite its lack of being fond of being deemed an underdog, coming back after being battered in sparring sessions like these scratched an itch that Gloss typically was unable to get her ribbon hand upon- as it usually refrained from opening itself up to taking the lower tipped scale. The headbutt pulsated against its skin imbued with crystalline as it tried to spin nullifications, pushing it back further. With a differing resonance, a spell rather than a returned physical, it attempted to retaliate with a summoned SHADOW BALL. And a toothy, determined, tired smile.

With all the stories that he had told her on a night in which the way she viewed the world shattered within her fingertips, it was no surprise that the two had accompanied one another into a fray against the so-called corrupt organization. There were so many moments to be grateful for, as he in the end was always her protector; always there to try and help, even when they had their disagreements. A blush trickled across her cheeks like whimsical arrays of pink roses, held in between picket fences of white stripe tattoos. One that had appeared not from flattery, but from complicated, misconstrued perception. "Uh, I..," she paused, letting out a nervous chuckle, ".. I didn't mean to come off like that, no offense! ♡" Though he was indeed quite the charmer, all the more a retainer of such an infectious personality, she considered her finger to host an invisible ring- one that had been accompanied with promises to the universe that she would never entertain another in that regard.[break][break]

Too much hurt had spawned from those who had broken her trust in the past, the very concept went against her morals. And it was embarrassing to think that some would consider her to indulge otherwise, quite the reality check to the version of herself she wished to present to strangers and the world around her. "I just was being nosy, since we've been talking about the one I love so much," she said with a soft smile, twiddling her fingers, ".. just wanted to know if there was someone you love like that."[break][break]

The fairy had been embarrassed, ashamed of its loss- but the idol didn't care too much. All experience in battling was good experience, especially now. Especially after the descent of Kyurem and the grim fates that spewed from its lips.
