Yuina seemed restless; Josh could understand that after being holed up in Dewford's hospital for weeks on end while their finest medical staff extracted many Bullet Seed pellets from his body. "I'm just glad I could keep leading Mauville," the Leader sighed, gazing over Lake Pyre's tranquil waters. He and Toshiro looked like they could go for a swim at any moment.

"A while ago, but yes," Josh answered. "That Pokémon was responsible for creating the Silent Icelands. When I came to Hoenn the June before last, it had the same climate as your usual tropical region: hot and sticky in the summer, warm in the winter. Mossdeep and Shoal Cave were the only spots that had real winters." It was a huge adjustment from living in Johto so long. Goldenrod got just about every kind of weather under the sun. "Now, Hoenn's climate is a lot more mild."

She hadn't really thought about it too hard, but she supposed that it didn't make much sense that the icelands had always been a portion of the region forever encapsulated by ice when there weren't any other inherently cold locations around... To know that a Pokemon forever changed not just an area of the region, but the entire weather pattern, the climates that affected every other part of Hoenn... Truly spoke to its sheer power.[break][break]
"Where was it all this time? Just hiding somewhere in the ice," she wondered, and what made it come out of its hiding when it did?

That a single Pokémon, albeit a god, could permanently alter the landscape and cause a weather anomaly like the Silent Icelands, was a testament to how powerful the domain of the ice dragon was. "From what I gather, it's got its own pocket dimension linked to the part of 103 that's turned into the Silent Icelands," Josh replied, Toshiro stepping into the lake and splashing water perhaps near or onto Yuina. "If it ever escapes, Hoenn's probably done for. We've got Rangers watching the Icelands closely. It's how Oldale's still standing; were we not able to react so quickly, all of Hoenn may well have become an Icelands."

With that, Josh and Toshiro were just about ready to cast off from the dock. "I have an errand in Lilycove to get to soon. If you're headed that way, you're more than welcome to keep me company." Whether it was with her companionship or not, the Samurott would lazily swim north, toward the Safari Zone.

Yuina followed along with Josh astride Ayashi's shoulders, she listened in on what he knew. There were so many different events, so many different things that had happened and were continuing to happen in the region well before she woke up outside of Petalburg. Any information she could get was valuable.[break][break]
She watched Josh and his Samurott dip into the water, they were getting ready to head north some. Yuina didn't have anywhere in particular she needed or wanted to be... Just anywhere but back in a hospital bed.[break][break]
"Sure, we'll keep you company, and make sure you get there alright. I hope you're feeling better," Yuina returned. She eased herself down from Ayashi and helped herself to Rasza's back, returning Ayashi and Delton. She wanted to make sure that Josh was alright after his Pokemon attacked him the way that it did...
