After being out of the hospital for recovering from exhaustion on the battlefield, the Galarian royal takes her Mimikyu to a well-known burger place called Burger Kingler in Ever Grande City for an afternoon lunch. She also hasn’t forgotten about wanting to eat those burgers with ollie morales since he was at the battlefield too. He knew a lot about burgers while she had tried every food in the palace except the one comfort food that the local Unovans liked to eat. A couple of people were pushing open the door to get into the fast food restaurant as the Mimikyu rushes up to look at the place inside.[break][break]

While people pass by them to get inside, the duo of royal ambassador and the small ghost in a Pikachu costume wait for the presence of the head ranger to get here. After all, Elise wouldn’t be so rude to not wait for him to get here and go inside the restaurant herself. She would rather have her and Ollie get their meal together.

[break][break] beside the galarian princess appears the region's head ranger, as bright and exuberant as always. ollie had gone to visit oldale hospital right after the events of the raid, though he'd only been able to pass by Elise Calcifet's room when she was asleep and leave a small note (and a single flower) on her bedside table as a result.

[break][break] when he heard she was out of the hospital, the first thing he did was send her a text to meet up for burgers, eager to catch-up with her.

[break][break] "you hungry? let's go inside!"

[break][break] without waiting, ollie pushes his way into the establishment. there is the sound of small chatter as they enter. burger kingler is as possible as ever, but the brunette reaches out to hold elise with one arm, hand curling around her shoulder, to prevent a passerby from bowling her over. even after the passerby leaves, ollie's hand doesn't quite leave.

[break][break] "so," he said, head tilted, lips twisted into a crooked smile. "what does the royal princess like to have for lunch? hey - wait, you've had a burger before, right?"

Ollie asks if she’s hungry and when the line gets a bit smaller, she’ll get inside with the Head Ranger. “I’m hungry, yes.” Elise responds with a nod while she feels the brunette man hold her. A passerby had almost bowled with her, so her friend was doing the right thing of making sure she didn’t collide with that person.[break][break]

If she did crash into the other person, an apology would be needed.[break][break]

He asks about what she wanted on the menu and if she had a burger before. “I have not had a burger before, but I can try one of those cheese burgers.” Maybe she did need to get out more in spite of being raised around being catered to servants that tended to her needs. “But I will be open to any recommendations you might make.” The royal diplomat adds since Ollie knows more about burgers than she could.

When her boss places their orders for their burgers, she’d expect that he would go for a burger that had a lot of things onto it. She valued the time that she’d get to spend time with friends over lunch than to be cooped up at the embassy’s office. Well, Elise would eat her lunch normally in the embassy’s break room after she had gotten it from take-out. [break][break]

Elise lets Ollie take her to an empty table while the crowd of people rush to get their orders from the counter. Napkins were grabbed before she too would slide into her seat at the opposite of the older ranger. She hoped that their orders wouldn’t take too long when there’s some lunch rushes during work days that can take longer for the servers to give the food to people.[break][break]

“I have been handling the appointments over the last week for the embassy.” The Galarian princess answers Ollie’s question with a little nod. “Other than that, I have been preparing for the next spring semester for Slateport University as well.”

[break][break] As someone who rarely had a hand in politics like that, and as a person who really only knew Elise Calcifet as much as she offered herself to the Rangers, it was easy to forget that she wasn't just another one of them. She was royalty.

[break][break] "It must be rough," he said, waving a hand in an attempt to illustrate it. "With all the stuff with.... your cousin." He finished lamely, unsure how to broach the awkward of Remiel Calcifet's involvement with the AMNESTY PROGRAM.

[break][break] "It can't be too bad, if you're juggling university on top of that."
