[break][break] The words of the two men break and wash over her, and she lets them roll back like the tide before she responds, giving them their full weight, to to truly take in the whole of what they've said. [break][break] Death. To wage war against the end.[break][break] That is the only option they've afforded themselves.[break][break] She wonders, silently, if that is the only recourse. Brief notes of an elegy play in her mind, the feeling of drowning before the Sea dyed her in its colors. To come back from that peace, that ecstasy, to be reborn and to chase it again... she understands, to her core, exactly why the angels dance...[break][break] Before she can meditate on that note, she turns back to the two of them. [break][break] They will not wait. [break][break] And why should they? [break][break] "... Where we're from, crimes are judged after they're committed. Just existing, being born.. that ain't a crime, is it?"[break][break] They're guilty of that as well, then. And wouldn't that in turn justify everything they find so abhorrent about the angels? If they thought along those same lines, no chance at compromise. Humans that kill without trying to understand or coexist, are they not the exact same as how these Ultra Beasts are described?[break][break] But, she considers... the desire to wage a war that's completely justified must, necessarily, come from a place of knowing how unjustified this current conflict plaguing hoenn truly is. Throwing themselves at something that makes perfect sense, to avoid looking at what doesn't. That is why they're here now, when tensions above-ground are so high.[break][break] Whatever the reason, they've come to slay giants. There is no helping that. No changing their minds with pretty words, for no words in hell will convince the truly righteous. And after what they've witnessed, she doesn't blame them. [break][break] "Just need the right tool, then. Like cracking open a Kingler's shell, to get at the meat."[break][break] She says what they want to hear, all her misgivings written on her face, her heart elsewhere. They've so surrendered themselves to this heartless act, she thinks, nothing she says to the contrary would have any effect at all. [break][break] But how many must die, to stave off the dark?
