"I hear something."

Immediately, the group quiets down, before starting to erupt in more chatter - Were they finally found? Please let that be the case ... what if it's a criminal, though- are they saved now or not?. They're only silenced once more by the sudden dent in the wall, followed by more attacks. Cass feels herself tense up, her hand resting on her pokéball. Xinlan would be the best choice here, and Yuri maybe ... but she never battled much with either of them. Martin could also work ...

But gladly, these considerations are for naught as pink hair becomes visible through the hole, as well as a helping hand.

"Oh thank god!" Everyone looks incredibly relieved at the revival of the gym leader, now they'd sure make it out.

"Please stay calm," Cass voice still tries to shout over the group that starts fraying a bit now that the tension is released. "We can't fit in all at once." It does little to direct the group, however, as she's merely a student. How much she wish she could grab Jon out of his pokéball, but she really doesn't need more stress, even if his mere presence is calming on its own.

She climbs out of the room last, ready to follow the group simply, as ...

"Kota? Kota?" a concerned voice actually drowns out the other voices. "Where's my daughter?"

Cass thinks she remembers - a girl in her early teens, cheerful despite the situation but overall well-behaved. But, maybe, distracted ... or worse. "I'll look for her," she's offered before she could actually process what she's just said.

25. Perform thorough searches of the area to locate missing individuals or threats.

Cass hasn't expected Desiree to tag along with her, but it's- truly for the better. She doesn't want to imagine what might have happened on her own, even if she'd finally feel comfortable to bring out her number one emotional support trash bag. "I'm not- not a ranger, I mean," she replies, slightly embarrassed as she remembers again how she's stepping out of her lane. But well, that's also simply kind of her thing.

"I think I actually saw her ... she's been playing in this corner, I think?" No one really bothered to approach the solitary child that still got way too much energy for any of the exhausted adults to deal with. And Cass has been too much in her own mind to pay attention either ...

"But there's ..." Cass pauses, slightly horrified. The corner that everyone thought was just one of four corners in a square room actually wasn't a corner at all ... there's a very small hole, just enough to fit a child ... "Fuck." Maybe that's what they've all been too tired to listen to.

41. Secure corners and blind spots to ensure the area is safe to act in.

Cass sees Desiree crack at the edges and also takes a deep breath. "I ... We..." Her thoughts are painted with a red hue that she desperately tries to keep at bay as she nods at the other Comfey's signaling, putting her Trubbish Jon next to the fairy type. Jon makes motions as if puffing his chest at seeing Cass' unfocused look, raising one slime-held garbage arm as if showing thumbs-up without fingers.

He nods at the Comfey then in greeting, keeping a respectful distance because of his strong smell and poison typing. He wouldn't want to accidentally hurt the fairy! "You're looking for a child," Cass explains to him as he disappears into the hole. "Do you see anything?" The Trubbishes steps sound steadily as he explores the short bit of a pipe before it eventually opens up into ... another room? She hears a splash as he presumably plops down into a somewhat water filled room.

And there's more ... Cass pokes her head into the hole, trying her damnest to hear ... "Is someone talking at the other end?" Did they find the child?

Jon is very careful when taking the Comfey's offered strand of flowers, nodding at the idea of not becoming seperated at all costs. And gladly, they also found the child quickly! Another string of flowers is attached to that while Jon rustles loudly, making noises that Cass surely would understand.

And no matter how much she loves him, she does not, in fact, understand word-by-word. Frowning as she nods at Desiree, taking a deep breath that it has to work or else, she strains herself to hear ... "He doesn't sound distressed," she breathes out, one thing at least she could rely on. "I think they found her."

As the Comfey tells Jon to pull them out, he nods, and ... there's no time for hesitation. He turns away slightly from them before Belching up several items onto the wall they just jumped down from back to the hole. It would act as a personal bridge for him and his Sticky Hold, one that he'd also clean up because he couldn't leave those precious items behind! They're barely recognisable as several flyers, strands of cut and discarded wig hair, broken plastic jewelry as he steadily holds onto each item, scooping them up after he finished that step. It's a slow process, but a sure one as he otherwise simply wouldn't have the strength to pull them enough to get back inside the hole again, and then out the other end.

"Oh thank goodness," Cass breathes a sigh of relief as Jon jumps into one of her arms first, and then Hula and the child appear. "Let's get out of here."
