The DRAGON FANGS were a gang of poachers who had been terrorizing HOENN as of late. Their ability to elude the authorities and even Remiel Calcifet himself was maddening. Surely, the royal thought, they were being led by someone with great experience.[break][break]

After hearing reports of them on ROUTE 115, Remiel departed from his DRACIARY with his cousin Elise Calcifet and went looking for them in the deep forests that covered the land. His HYDRAPPLE, MUTSU, pushed itself ahead to conduct recon while the prince and princess walked behind it.[break][break]

"Sorry for roping you into this," Remiel says, keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings as they move past some bushes. "You're free to head back to the EMBASSY if you wish."[break][break]

Maybe it’s the small size of the Mimikyu that lets the smaller ghost blend in the darkness of the deep forests while the golden Hydrapple pushes himself to do recon work for the prince. The group of poachers called the Dragon Fangs were definitely a dangerous bunch for eluding the authorities and as the Ranger Captain too, she had dispatched most of the rangers under Rustboro City to find them.[break][break]

“It’s fine, cousin.” The Galarian Ambassador speaks when it’s her issue to deal with as a ranger in protecting the Pokemon here in the wild of Route 115. “That’s my problem to deal with as much as it is yours because we both want to protect the wild Pokemon here as rangers. Even more so because I am the Ranger Captain of Rustboro now, so I will not be returning to the embassy just yet.”[break][break]

Alastor the Mimikyu watches the golden Hydrapple from the dark. He moves in matching the movements of Mutsu though he’d prefer to watch for any member of the Dragon Fangs from the bushes along with the Galarian princess.

Remiel amusedly smiles. "My worry came from a place of familial concern, but fair point." He responds, clad in hiking gear as they maneuver through the wooded forest in 90-degree heat. "You outrank me now, you know. Captain Calcifet. Some would say you outrank me on the political hierarchy as well." The exiled prince adds.[break][break]

Meanwhile, just ahead, an ONIX dives down from the cliffside nearby to try and SAND TOMB Mutsu. It manages to surround the Hydrapple successfully with a storm of sand and rock but is quickly dispatched with a SYRUP BOMB that slows it down to a crawl. Before it can hope to continue with its rampage, Remiel pulls out a ball and captures it.[break][break]

Her cousin says that his concern was more familial than something else which made sense. He worried for her safety against the poachers since they were dangerous people and she wasn’t equipped to be for combat. “Yes, I do outrank you in the rangers, but what do you mean in the political hierarchy as well, cousin?” She knows that Remiel was still first in line for the throne other than the can of worms that he refuses to open on why the Galarian broadcasts say the prince was ‘exiled’ out of the country.[break][break]

Maybe that was something she shouldn’t ask if he wasn’t the most divulging of it.[break][break]

She’ll watch her elder cousin’s Hydrapple help to catch a wild Onix for the prince. The Onix’s friend was nothing that she’d be interested in catching either, so her Mimikyu leaves the Geodude be. Alastor would want to battle with a Pokemon that he’d think it’ll be worthy to train with.

Seeing the commotion below, a DRAGONAIR descends from the sky above to investigate. It LEERS at the HYDRAPPLE below before being smacked down with a powerful DRAGON TAIL. Remiel pulls out a Luxury Ball to capture it as it falls unconscious.[break][break]

"Well, a lot of people would consider the position of GALARIAN AMBASSADOR more influential than that of a prince," The royal responds as the serpentine dragon disappears in a flash of golden light. "Especially if that ambassador is royal herself... and if the prince in question is considered exiled by the majority of the Galarian populace." He sighs.[break][break]

A small Igglybuff had come along with the blue serpetine dragon where she gets stalked by the Mimikyu. The female fairy type Pokemon does not know the danger that she gets into until she is slashed at by Alastor’s Shadow Claw. Like a spectral predator, the Mimikyu almost goes into a fight-happy mood as the royal ambassador catches the surprised Igglybuff with throwing a Dusk Ball at the female pink Pokemon. [break][break]

She’ll have to say sorry to her later when the Igglybuff isn’t mad at her ghost.[break][break]

“I can see that it’s more influential than a Galarian prince.” She does feel concern for the fact that Remiel says he’s exiled from the country now by the majority of Galar’s people. “But…if you are exiled from our country, would I have to take up the duty that you’ve lost?”

The golden syrup it so desperately craved, however, ends up exploding in its face as a SYRUP BOMB. A wild Swirlix hops from one of the nearby bushes and the fluffy looking cloud Pokemon is followed by the ambassador’s Mimikyu. The dark claw of the Mimikyu slashes at the Swirlix where the cloud Pokemon is attacked by Alastor’s Shadow Claw. Elise takes out a Dusk Ball and throws it at the Swirlix, the wild Pokemon didn’t have much strength to attack her Mimikyu. [break][break]

Her cousin gets worried that she desired to go back to their country and abandon all of it, even the embassy that she worked for. “There were people here who question why I didn’t go back to Galar and help our people, that’s why I was really saddened and felt that I would be on that fence to go back to our country.” His mother would want Remiel back and not her, a clear answer that the Queen wanted her little prince to take the throne. “But I want to fight for our people here. At the same time, I also wished to help up take your former position of being Galar’s heir apparent.”[break][break]

The League’s Calyrex’s words ring into her head. Calyrex was much more wise and more experienced at ruling than she would.[break][break]

"Though, if my mother died tomorrow, there would no doubt be chaos on the streets of GALAR. Ronan Calcifet knows that. And, somehow, QUEEN EDELYNN keeps the angry mobs at bay despite the public distrust in royalty." Stopping to think for a moment, he steps forward to pick up the ball once it's dinged and turns back to his cousin with a smile.[break][break]

At one point, her eldest cousin was the future King of their country until he was ‘exiled’. He still insists on keeping his title in spite of that though she’ll accept that she can’t really do much of a better job at keeping the Galarian people in line than his mother can. There would be chaos on the streets that only the Queen can rein in with her high position as monarch.[break][break]

The Mimikyu stares up at the large Probopass and due to his smaller frame, the ghost dodges the Magnet Bomb sent his way and Alastor’s Shadow Claw hits the wild Probopass on the steel type’s back. Tossing a Dusk Ball out of her pack and watching it suck in the Probopass, Elise could feel the bits of possessiveness that Remiel felt towards his title that he threw away upon his father’s death.[break][break]

“That is true, your mother seems to have kept them at bay. I don’t think I can ever do that if I tried, nor will I be good enough to take up the title you're born into.” She responds with a small nod. Somehow, the Queen wasn’t worried about an angry mob outside the front gate of the Calcifet Palace and there were guards posted outside too. “I did not know that the effect my shard has on the Galarian people would affect them positively… I’m…very happy to hear that Calyrex has captivated every Galarian worldwide.”[break][break]

And on that last comment from her cousin, the ambassador gives that a long thought. “And it’s funny that I have chased after your shadow for so long when you told me that now. I’ve decided to stop a long time ago when I came into my first tenure as ambassador…and it feels really good to be true to myself.”
