Putting away her couple of supplies, leaning in to Nihm's Absorb and watching the others do the same, there was the briefest moment that Yuina felt at ease, like they could continue on their way... But it was dashed yet again. Tensions were going to be high, and Yuina glanced to the other woman emphatically, she knew that Morrighan Cahill was trying to amend the situation as much as she was... though it did little to appease.[break][break]
She was stood still with the younger of their group, but Yuina couldn't stop her from her arguing in time. Apology or not, Yuina shot her a look before Monty stalked over and was looming over them both.[break]
"Monty, have some sense," Yuina admonished, this was not a matter of older or younger between them, it was a matter between colleagues and someone she believed to be a valued officer. Navy didn't appoint just anyone, but at present, he was doing little to stand up to that.[break][break]
"This is our responsibility, and we have to act like it whether we like it or not," she was being firm, brave perhaps in standing up to match him, the most forward she had been thus far in the expedition. She knew that she and Monty could see eye to eye, she knew he wouldn't pull his gun on a civilian, but she needed him. She wasn't letting him go through this without help, she needed him to help back... But her words were lost to the explosion, as was Monty lost to the smoke as he stalked ahead of them, disappearing.[break][break]
Yuina's panic began to set in, she could hardly be responsible for herself most days, she shouldn't be responsible for two other lives and a third who was liable to get himself killed that way...[break]
"It doesn't matter what you did or didn't know before coming here, but you're here now and that's the only thing that matters, okay," she spoke then to Lavinia Kubrick, resolute, taking charge as she drew out another Pokeball. She wasn't harping on her lashing out or getting stung by poison, none of that mattered. That moment right then was the reset button, a chance to start over and get to work. She hit the release on her pokeball, releasing Higumei the Ursaluna behind them. She trusted the bear's senses far more than her own, the perfect hunter. With the explosion, they would not be alone for much longer, she needed an extra set of eyes, and his sixth sense, to make sure they could stay together and get Monty before something happened.[break][break]
"We're here, and we're going to work together. This is our job and the only thing that matters is that we all make it out of here. But I need your help, both of you," she returned. She herself could only do so much, as could Monty. They were each only one person, it was going to take all of them to make sure they could get this done, and Yuina believed they had the capability to do so as she began to lead them through the smoke of the explosion with Higumei lumbering behind them.
