And on the final day, she is wide awake before anything happens, gently clasping Isaac Merlo's hand between her own two palms. Closing her eyes, she rests her head upon his shoulder, taking deep breaths as she feels the thoughts begin to bubble.[break][break]

Patience. Stoke the fires that burn in her chest, even as she swallows that small bit of mochi. Patience, or they will catch on.[break][break]

Patience, until it is no longer needed.[break][break]

Chaos erupts in a glorious roar, many hearts woven together in the combined wish to reach their saving grace. That of those whom she can see and whom she cannot. It's dark, it's terrifying. Failure means that there will be nothing left at the end for them. Even so they must fight, bare their fangs and take that leap.[break][break]

Megalopolans rush from every direction, but she will not flinch. That ring of purple that had once oppressed becomes the tool to their liberation.[break][break]

Bright, unbreakable, like that beautiful red chain that had restrained the devourer of suns. Her toxic chain snaps at hostility, attempts to latch onto the guards and root them to the ground. Bigger, a bigger area so she can stop more people from getting hurt. Stronger, strong enough that they won't wrest themselves free easily.[break][break]

But time is sacred. These restraints ultimately will not last. Grabbing ahold of Isaac's hand, she pulls him along.[break][break]

And then comes the laughter, mischievous squeals that makes Mesprit resemble a toddler as they sit up and clap gleefully. Meanwhile, Eris seems far more concerned about the shock written all over Reiner's face, attempting to pry Howard's hands off her ears.[break][break]

It must be a rather messy shot, with her hair all out of place and her clothes speckled with sand. And yet, it's the most genuine they'd possibly could've been in the moment.[break][break]

From the bottom, a picture slips out, one that Eris immediately takes into hand and sandwiches between her own two palms.[break][break]

Eva is right, the attempt has fallen through. It's become a repeat of what happened to her and Isaac Merlo but just that much worse - How much more selfish will she be to try and offer help when she can do nothing? Even if she wished to keep trying, she'd be forcing Mesprit to keep risking their life for something that might not work.[break][break]

"I'm sorry." A hand reaches up to touch Rayquaza, but falters at the very last second. It isn't her duty to save Kyogre. It has never been. Even so, she had hoped that something would change if she just tried hard enough.[break][break]

Looking to Eva feels like the hardest task in the world, but she somehow manages with a smile, weak as it may be. At the very end of the day, she's thankful that they gave her a chance. She just wishes it could've gone better for everyone involved.[break][break]

[attr="class","eris109"]A simulation doesn't have to be this realistic. Sweat makes her clothes stick to her skin with a deathly grip, her discontent only matched by the dead look that Reiner affords his surroundings.[break][break]

Her words are cut off by the unholy screeching, digging into the very soul like nails drawn across a pristine chalkboard. Instincts pull her hands right towards Reiner, covering his ears to the very best of her abilities as she winces and bears a grin through the performance. There's almost no way to hear her partner's question, but guessing the gist of it is easy enough.[break][break]

How should they handle this nuisance?[break][break]

Why doesn't the simulation possess some menu for audio settings? She can barely hear her own thoughts over all this noise. Why did they end up in this scenario of all things?[break][break]

The jungle flashes a bright red, a pastel creature slowly rising to her full height as she flexes and extends her claw. A solemn lover of peace and quiet, Ako doesn't appreciate this wretched singing no matter how much heart and soul is put into it. And she dives right into the overgrowth, ripping through foliage with a scream to rival the Scream Tail's own.

"Let's go around, Eyja." She hums, diverting a little to the left of the path towards the Mareep. With a sharp bark, the Yamper nods and begins to lead the way. "C'mon, don't stray too far from us."
