It isn't long before the clatter of wheels against cobblestone can be heard outside, slowing to a stop near the tent's entrance. A few moments later and the curtains are pushed aside to allow a dark-haired young man a peek inside, his colorful lei swinging side to side as he admires the atmosphere.

"Oh!" Locke pauses their gawking on noticing the occupants. "Sorry, we can wait outside!"

"We" referring to the Delibird trying to shove her way through their legs to get inside, preventing her trainer from making a graceful exit from their own intrusion.

They weren't quite sure how to best cook the ghost of a fish, but they were sure willing to learn after forty minutes of pulling themselves and their Delibird out of its jaws.

The past 2 years have been a lot of fun, but after a lot of consideration, I think I gotta throw in the towel. Working 12 hour shifts on top of 8 hours of sleep means that for most of the week I only get maybe 3-3 1/3 hours of free time a day, and having a work schedule that flips every week makes it hard to maintain my muse and a consistent posting schedule.

This is the longest I've ever gotten to stick with a site, and every day here's been an absolute blast! I write with a lot of really great people and I'll miss all of the plot lines we never got to see through to the end. Thanks to Shiv and Spiral for running one of the best RP experiences I've ever had, and to everyone else I've had the pleasure of meeting!

Between this and Eris Halla calling him in to explore Mt. Pyre's own rift, it seemed all of Locke's friends were hellbent on dragging him to these dangerous new locations. Even the thrill-seeking Latias had been less than enthused for this excursion after their last little trip into the unknown.

But there were no spirits here to enact their vengeance through him, and he trusted angelo vestri and skyler dross enough to follow them into the depths of hell itself.

And, uh, he was sure that other guy was cool too.

The wreckage shouldn't have been as much of a surprise as it was. Everything else about this world felt eerie and dreamlike, even more so than your average cave system-but the vessel still felt alien and out of place in this not-quite-ocean.

They followed their friend's lead upwards-or downwards, the lack of air bubbles to right their sense of direction turned this dimension into an Esheresque nightmare-until they reached the nose of the wreck, landing on the near-ninety degree angle of the deck with an unnatural ease only possible in this world without gravity.

There was indeed a way inside there in the form of a watertight door fitted into the base of the helm that could potentially lead into either the captains quarters or the lower decks. Locke approached its cartoonish speedwheel and gave it an experimental tug, only to be met by the resistance of rust and time.

Bracing both their boots against the doorframe, the courier tugged at the stubborn handle with the full weight of their body-all hundred and twenty pounds-until it finally snapped unlocked under the force of the invisible Latias' Telekinesis, and it was only the lack of gravity that spared her ward the indignity of falling on their ass.

Steel creaked ominously as the door opened to reveal a set of stairs leading into pitch-darkness, claustrophobia itching under their skin at the familiar sight. They swallowed back their anxiety, fishing out a Pokéball from their bag and summoning their trusty Lanturn for light, before turning back to the group.

"Well I'm sure not going first."
