Walking forward to pick up the pokeball of Weaville she latches it around her belt - overall pleased that she was able to add so many allies to her team.

Just like her question, Uri’s question catches her off guard. “We went to the beach together.. I think like three weeks ago?” the answer is given some thought as Gabrielle attempts to remember if she saw him anytime after that but couldn’t recall. She definitely missed him and would love to spend another day with him, but he was always working.

“What about you—-” A loud roar interrupted their conversation and Gabrielle looks towards the sky where she notices a Salamence flying through the sky before it landed on a nearby rock. The landing causing dust to fly out.

Gabby is stunned by what she’s seeing, from memory Salemence is a very rare pokemon to encounter in the wild and even more difficult to tame - but yet one was right here.

Her hands tingled with excitement as well as fear.

“Mind if we finish this conversation later..?” She turns to Uriah with a laugh her hand holding onto a pokeball.

The words cause Gabrielle’s cheeks to warm a bit, she could tell that Danny was a charmer. His looks also added to the impression.

Looking towards the direction he had pointed, she felt excited at the mention of how he noticed something. At the same time she found his explanation to be strange, personally she didn’t think it was strange that grass stopped growing but it would be best to investigate further.

“Ya, I’m sure that it will be worthwhile.” She also smiles eagerly and begins to walk in that direction though she stays close to Danny and Buggy. As they walk she pays close attention to the grass, as that was their biggest clue.

The grass appeared to be normal, the tall height remained consistent which made it pretty hard to see. Out of nowhere the grass is much shorter and what Danny had told her made more sense.

She looks back towards him.

“This is definitely weird…”

She takes a look around the area, it almost seemed like it was forming some sort of pattern.

“Cool.” Gabrielle responds when her sister agrees. Hoping that it would be an ideal location to spend an entire week in. They continued to move along and before long, Gabrielle could hear more rustling.

But all the rustling was their pokemon returning, with food they had found. Berry didn’t bring have much, just a small apple which didn’t look very ripe. But it was expected since Spheals don’t have the greatest limbs.

“Thanks, Berry!” She takes the apple, wiping the dust off it with her sleeve. Deciding to save it for now, since it was unknown if they could find more food or not.

After walking for a bit longer, they finally reach the cave. It wasn’t big but there was enough room for the both of them and enough space for a small fire.

Better than sleeping out in the rain.

“Home sweet home~” Gabby jokes in a sarcastic tone.

Gabby was glad that Elinor was understanding. And relieved when everyone seemed to be uninjured, she wouldn’t know what to do if she caused anyone to get hurt. “I’m fine” she confirms with a nod and smile.

Breathing to calm down, her focus returns back to the group. Seeing the way Elinor was dressed and how early they were up, Gabby couldn’t help but be curious.

You guys training for something?”

Gabby curses under her breath all while she tries to decelerate. Luckily the warning she provided seemed to be enough as the other woman had managed to jump out of the way. She comes to a stop shortly after a few feet away from Elinor and her pokemon.

After a sigh of relief, she heads back towards them this time on foot. “I am so sorry!!” Gabby apologies soon as she reaches them, equally sweaty as Elinor. Her head turned to look at each one of them to see if any of them received an injury.

There wasn’t any visible to the eye.

“Any of you guys hurt?” She asks just to make sure.

With all of the continuous sniffing and coughing, Gabby figured that Skyler had seasonal allergies. Given this, she reasonably stayed at least six feet apart just to be safe. “Same here! I don’t think many people come through this way.” It’s a random guess as they were a bit ways away from the main trail to town. This reason caused Gabby to wonder what Skyler was really up to, or if she’s really lost as she claims.

Gabby jokingly scoffs, flicking her wrist as a show of confidence. “Don’t worry! We’ll get to town lickety-split. ” Hopefully that would be the case, and no problems come up. There was no telling what could happen in Hoenn after all, such a unique region.

Returning the smile she happily shake’s Skyler’s hand. Blinking with surprise at her introduction, Gabby was amazed to meet a treasure hunter and ship captain - not to mention that Skyler looked young. Around the age of her own siblings, truly incredible.

“That’s awesome!” She replies with awe. Wondering what kind of adventures and event’s Skyler had seen. Gabby felt envious, of her capabilities. Curious to know more, Gabby stops herself from asking giving a response instead.

“Yes! Though I don’t have badges.” She chuckles, clearing her throat and begins to walk again. The trees around them looked less dense, perhaps a sign that they were getting closer to town. Hopefully.

“So… What kind of ship do you sail?” Gabby continues the conversation as they breeze past the woods.

Swaying with the waves, Gabby gives Berry a gentle pat. Looking forwards to her spheal evolving so that they could swim even more.

Brown eyes brighten with the good news, and she nods in response. “That’s great! I really want you to succeed dad.” She knew he was ambitious, and Gabby would be proud to be a councilman’s daughter even if it meant that she would see him less than she already does.

This was awful.

Not being able to see anything caused panic to stir. Gabrielle moves forward carefully not to bump or fall into anything. She was about to call out to the rest of the group until she realized that she didn’t know any of their names.

Idiot.

“Hey guys…? She calls out into the darkness, only assuming that they had to be close by since they all came in the same way. There wasn’t an immediate response and Gabby breathes a sigh of frustration.

After a few minutes of darkness the lights suddenly all come on at once, Gabby used her hand to cover her eyes as the light was blinding. Blinking and rubbing her eyes she noticed that everyone was nearby but before she could rejoice their reunion what the light revealed was way too alarming.

“What in the world..?” She asks aloud before moving forwards. Heading deeper into the jaw of the refrigerator, she stops when reaching the end. Gabby’s eyes narrow at the sight of the phione, a pokemon that she did not recognize but couldn’t help but feel how wrong it was for it to be displayed like this.

“This isn’t okay, we should… report this to the league?” Her tone lacked confidence as she had no idea what to do or if this was even allowed.

Without thought Gabby uses her hands to grab ahold of the Phione’s icy bindings. As an attempt to try and free it, but she regrets it quickly as the immense cold runs up her hands causing her to quickly release her grip and cry out in pain.

“Ow!!!” She whimpers out, her hands turned red and looked a little swollen.

The response left her disappointed but her true feelings aren't displayed. Instead Gabby nods with a small smile.
"Oh their good, just busy I think." She chuckles, finding it a bit strange how he was asking her instead of talking to them himself. It was something she didn't really understand about her father.

She wished that he could be more honest, deep down she knows that he cares. All he needs to do is show it a bit more.

Gabrielle becomes curious and asks her father the same thing.

"How about you dad? How's the election going so far?"

With her sister’s approval, Gabrielle gained confidence and squeezed Jessie’s arm a littler tighter. She begins to grin like a dork as those words gave her the comfort she had been looking for.

“Oh ya, I guess that would be easiest.” She nods agreeing but a little surprised. Gabrielle had always pictured Jessica as a very posh and glamorous sort of person. Never did she think that her older sister was open to camping out in the wilderness.

This was a side of Jessica that Gabrielle did not know about, and honestly she was thrilled to see it.

A clearing overhead comes into view and Gabby could make out what looked to be a cavern, though it was still a distance away and difficult to really know.

The trainer appeared to be a nice guy.

“Nice to meet you guys.” Gabrielle responds with a smile, her hand motions to the swoobat flying besides her.

“I’m Gabrielle, but you can call me Gabby and this is Echo.” The swoobat flutters in the air happily with the introduction.

Shaking her head to Danny’s question she sighs with frustration.

“Only thing strange is how quiet it is.” Gabrielle shrugs cluelessly

“I haven’t seen anything, have you?” She gives a more straightforward answer and hopes that Danny spotted something.

DANNY HALL

Gabrielle found the man’s tone mildly irritating. She didn’t need a scolding from a stranger, especially one that asked if they were looking to get into trouble. Not bothering to say a response, Gabrielle was a little happy when Locke Jamison had also agreed. It was unfortunate that their pokemon seemed so intent on exploring further, and the rest of the group also refused to turn back.

She sighs, not debating any further and following closely to not get left behind. She doesn’t stop Yvaine Varron from going on ahead, she got the impression that she wasn’t one to really listen to reason. She did begin to worry when losing sight of Locke Jamison but before she could bring it up to Wolfgang he suddenly declared to call the employees.

“What’s wrong?” She questioned, her pace quickening to keep up with the man who seemed panicked. Her eyes widen when Wolfgang’s hand goes through the wall in front of them.

Nodding slowly in disbelief as she doesn’t understand how it’s possible.

Relieved when she noticed that both Locke and Yvaine came back, Gabrielle gasped as Locke tumbled into the wall, vanishing. The woman was also quick to follow Locke, and after building her courage Gabrielle too passes through the rippling glass.
