"Oh..." Gabby responds half heartedly. Unlike Finn she felt there was plenty of reason to steal Christmas gifts, one of them being to ruin the holidays. "Perhaps they did? I didn't look around very much, soon as I saw the gifts were missing I panicked and came to you." Fingers tap against her chin as Gabby provided the more thoughtful response.

Gabby's expression scrunches with further confusion at the mention of their father. She shakes her head, doubting that this would be his doing. "I haven't seen dad in a few days.. he's been pretty busy with the election." Shoulders drop as she is reminded of his absence, longing to have some more father daughter time.

Descending the staircase she beckons her twin to follow. "Anyways, guess it's up to us to solve this mystery. Who knows maybe someone placed them elsewhere?" She speaks hopefully.

Finley Black

She notices the confusion, and could understand why - Gabby didn't really elaborate. Awkward laugh flows from her as she scratches against her cheek. "Of course, I mean in a pokemon battle!" The explanation is rather rough and quick, but she hopes that her aunt doesn't think she was in a fist fight.

The conversation moves along, which relives her. "Well.. I thought she would like some jewelry or clothes, though I'm not really sure what suits Jessies taste. " Gabby admits smiling. She figured her aunt would have a good eye considering that she is also very fashionable.

The boutique was of moderate size and had plenty to look at. The first thing that caught Gabby's eye was an accessory display. A very shiny bracelet was the first thing she noticed.

"What do you think about this one?"

Spencer Hale

Blinking Gabby realizes that she was being to harsh with her brother. "Sorry Finn, I didn't mean to hit you." Biting her lips as she speaks, Finn wasn't to blame for this - truthfully she was the one being unreasonable. Waking him in a bizarre manner and demanding him to come to his senses.

Sighing Gabby slowly nods to Finn's confusion, "Yeah...." She responds softly, her hand nervously scratching at her shoulders. "What should we do? you think someone broke in?"

Finley Black

"Excellent thinking." Gabby replies, looking about to see if there was anything to eat within eyesight. While there wasn't anything edible, she was confident that they'd be able to find something in the nearby forest. Pointing towards the direction of trees her focus returns to Jessie.

"We'll probably find something to eat in there, what do you think?" She suggests, not wanting to make all the decisions herself since she wanted to learn how to work as a team with her sister.

Jessica Manner

The delibird appeared stunned. Never had it been smacked before. Nor had it been approached by a strange pair of siblings offering it's help, only to drop it's beloved bag not once, but twice. Gabby could understand if the delibird didn't want their help anymore but to her surprise it still didn't interfere, most likely desperate to get into town.

How about we carry it together?" Gabby suggests with a gentle expression, comforted that her brother couldn't lift the bag on his own, but she felt that he just pretended that it was too heavy to make her feel better. Nodding towards her brother, Gabby lifts one side of the bag.

It was much lighter thanks to her brothers support.

"So.. you know the way to get into town?"

URIAH BLACK

Luckily Gabby hasn't had to experience anything very 'crazy' or 'dangerous'. However whenever the news channel was turned on, she couldn't believe what she was seeing most of the time.

"Really..?" The word slipped out without any thought, hearing her brother say that made her really happy. Silencing her bubbling fears and anxiety. Quickly covering her hand with her mouth once she realized what she said Gabby quickly shook her head. No! uh.. I mean, you don't need to. I know how busy you are! " She knew that the request was selfish and at some point she would need to stop relying on Uriah.

Well.. if you do have time It'd be nice if you could come watch.. or something." She chuckles lips arc into a smile.

It was impressive how a single pokemon was trying to haul this huge bag without any help. From memory Delibird was the gift giving pokemon, but there was the occasional present that wasn't so.. she briefly glances back towards the delibird who looked to be in a conversation with Uri.

Hopefully there won't be any surprises.

Challenge presented by her brother, eyebrows wiggle with interest. "Leave it to me, big bro!" She states with an overly confident tone. The delibird looked doubtful, but stood aside to watch the girls attempt.

Rubbing her hands together, she uses both arms for better support. After feeling she had a good enough grip on it, she slowly began to lift the sack up. However her knees and arms started buckling, the bag was heavier than she could handle and she only managed to lift it up a few inches.

Her face burns red as she drops the bag down, "Second thought, it's to much for me to handle." She grins goofily, her cheeks seem to burn brighter as she could here the delibird laughing at her.

URIAH BLACK

So far the search had been pretty uneventful. Gabby partly doubted the credibility of the reports, but something about the wheat fields felt strange, made her feel uneasy.

The height of the wheat was bewildering, she felt so small in comparison. Something about it reminded her of when she first started her pokemon journey, and how she was always told to stay away from the tall grass since there was no telling what pokemon would sneak up on you. They weren't always friendly pokemon either.

However Gabby wouldn't let anything catch her off guard! She considered herself as a groomed trainer mainly due to her brother URIAH BLACK's epic training and mentoring. Without him she surely couldn't have came this far. Hopefully she can meet his expectations and make him proud.


Buggy goes unnoticed up to the point they bump into each other.

"Holy Arceus!" Completely alarmed she stumbles backwards and ends up tripping on a stone beneath her. Not noticing the trainer quite yet.

The island at last.

Departing the boat, Gabby stands besides Jessica. Briefly glancing around, the island appeared welcoming to her. Overall the first impressions were great, and she was eager to have some personal time with her older sister. "It's going to be great!" She speaks eagerly, ignorant of Jessie's reaction.

Her hand gingerly slips into a pocket and pulls out a pokeball. Releasing her spheal who happily barks upon it's release. "so... where to first?"

Jessica Manner

"Yep!" She states simply. She is reminded of her father and how their embraces always felt off, the feeling was difficult to put into words. Gabby smiles once again "A few days ago I beat a trainer and they were loaded!" Her voice bubbles with excitement and anticipation.

The dark expression that crossed her aunt's face goes by unnoticed as her mind lingered on other things. Think I'll probably get Jessie something first.. " Her gaze floats towards a boutique, "wanna check out that shop first?"

Spencer Hale

Gabby's head was up in the clouds as she walked along side Uriah. Not paying attention to her surroundings, or the delibird that Uriah had noticed before her. There wasn't much talking going on so when he suddenly spoke up, it caught Gabby by surprise and she nearly tripped over a rock.

Thankfully she saved herself from falling over and embarrassing herself in front of Uriah.
"Yeah sure!" She hastily agrees not fully aware of the situation. However looking ahead she notices the delibird and pieces fall into place.

"Probably delivering those gifts to town.. which is pretty far."

URIAH BLACK

The door swung open, and before her stood Finn, still sleepy eyed. Gabby was pretty uncaring that she had woke up her twin so suddenly. All that was on her mind was tracking down the awful thief who stole all their gifts.

"Cmon Finn! Wake up already!" her hand smacked against his forehead, hoping it would be enough to get him to focus. She then points towards the tree - "Someone or something snatched all the gifts!"
