Remi Cassel was still a normal woman outside of her usual activities of stealing, smuggling, and poaching Pokemon for the undercity. She wasn't always cold, dark and cruel. Sometimes, she was actually quite pleasant and.. normal.

A terrible skater, though. But she had a soft spot for the holidays, and someone from Rocket had just gifted her a nice pair of fluffy mittens. It would be a shame to not put them to good use, and yes, okay, every once in a while she does like to dress fluffy and feminine.

She still keeps the eyepatch though. Maybe that's why she's terrible out on the ice. At the present, however, the woman leans against the inside of the rink with her mittens cupped around her mouth and nose. She appears to be cold without something covering her neck.

Bane has been her companion for as long as she can remember. He has been her guardian, her partner, the closest thing she's probably had to a friend. Every day still he manages to surprise and impress her, but it is his gusto that reminds her so much of her brother.

Roman had chosen an incredible Pokemon for her birthday. It was too bad he wasn't here now to see how strong that little Pancham had become. The woman's face contorts into grief briefly before she refocuses on the Ninetales and its next move.

"Bane!"

He grunts in acknowledgement, bracing himself by setting one foot back and crouching. He was unafraid, built like a truck. A little bit of heat wouldn't phase him, even if the heat had been turned up to a hundred. Dragon fire held much the same bite, he could handl it.

And he hesitates only briefly, caught off-guard by the dance moves the Ninetales puts on. It flips overtop of him and he glances up just as he mouth opens to pour swirling flame.

"Hammer arm!"

The Pangoro lifts his arm abruptly, the flames lick painfully against his arm, but he powers through to full-swing into the animal with his arm.

The temperature rises impossibly high, enough that the black dress she wears begins to stick to her skin uncomfortably. She brushes hair out of her face and does her best to not look as irritated as she feels.

The solution to the overheating problem was simple: she just had to win.

"Brace yourself!"

But the Pangoro does one better: he splits the SOLAR BEAM right down the middle with his PARTING SHOT. It may not land properly to hurt the Ninetales, necessarily, given that it had been prominently used to split the solar powered attack in half and leave him singed but otherwise unscathed-- but still.

"Not bad, dude."

She laughs.

"Oh, I'm aware. Roman was a nobody. The region didn't seem to care he'd gone missing, and he's only interesting now because he was found dead with a legendary next to him."

Remi taps her nail against the edge of her glass.

"I didn't come to Rocket to ask for answers, though they have been somewhat more helpful."

Somewhat, but not completely. The head of intel was a real treat, especially. Just thinking of Killian Decker makes her blood boil.

"Stealing."

It's funny that a Rocket can't even admit exactly that.

But he's lucky he's attempting to leave, because what he tosses over his shoulder behind an indifferent shrug makes her blood boil.

"A nobody. Right. Because you're a somebody."

Remi tightens her grip on the folder unil it crinkles in her hand. But she turns the other way, coming back the way she'd come. There was no sense in indulging in another fight he'd picked.

Remi swallows hard, letting her drink sit in her chest, focusing on it.

"He was murdered, and no one seems to know who did it or why. Everyone is obsessed with Unowns, for some reason, but no one seems to have answers for me outside of more secrets and closed doors."

Remi shakes her head slowly, amusement twinkling behind her small smile.

What a strange young woman.

"Guess we'll find out, right?"

Melody pulls out two pokeballs, sending out an Oricorio and a Bronzor. The latter throws her for a bit of a loop. Was it supposed to resemble a cymbal or something? What was that instrument called?

"First move, huh? Alright then... here goes."

If she were to say she was 100% confident in herself for this battle, she would be lying. Her Spinda were clumsy trouble-makers, and her second team made her skin crawl. But with every challenge now under her belt, she was beginning to gain more confidence. But only a little bit.

In unison, her Spinda step forward and begin to dance -- well, one of them is dancing. The other is narrowly missing being stepped on. The first Spinda uses a TEETER DANCE to confuse everyone on the stage, even his partner. Fortunately, his best friends OWN TEMPO means nothing happens.

So naturally, he blasts out a PSYBEAM. Where was it heading, though? Whoever the straggler was, obviously.

The squeeze is painful, but her response betrays only anticipation and excitement. Her fingers squeeze, one grips the edge of the table and the other his hand - but not to stop him, no.

No, she is a guide, following him down where he plunges. Teeth mark her skin, pinching to bruise, to bring panic, pain. Remi sucks in a sharp breath, heartbeat quickening. Her hunger grows ravenous, temptation and lust kicked into overdrive.

The warmth he offers is quick to fade, however, replaced with teasing. He breathes against her ear now, the coarse hair of his beard brushing against her neck. It makes her chuckle, but she does what is asked; whispering seductions into his ear. Her accent is thicker, slurred by lack of delicacy.

"I like it rough, love. With your hand here, and the other.. here."

She guides him, encouraging him to squeeze. She isn't delicate, not some pretty flower to be handled with care.

Now, okay, hear me out. Remi isn't really the type of person to steal dates. She's here to cut loose, get drunk, and have fun. Slateport had grown on her big time, since the Sootopolis castle city was far too uptight for her liking. That, and the company in Slateport wasn't too bad after all. Like virgil roach, or Caprice Isaac.

But the person who actually was meant to be meeting up with Frankie was a total scumbag. Despite it being a blind date, as they had brought up several times, the date was way below anyone's league. Like literally the dirt on the bottom of her shoe, this person was a piece of shit.

So she had picked a fight with them long before Francie even showed up - not because she was looking out for anyone, but because she felt like punching someone's lights out, and this guy was the perfect target. Now, her knuckles were sore, there was broken glass at the bar, and she was nursing a brand new drink while Francie's actual date limped off with a broken nose.

And, call her a sap, she felt bad seeing the girl all by herself waiting on a hopeless date to not show up. So she stepped in, because how would she know any better? She had all of the hints she needed to know it was the pretty blonde she was looking for. Call it intuition.

"Cute drink."

Not really, she can only assume the woman is drinking something fruity, maybe with hardly any alcohol. And if she isn't, she's pleasantly surprised. Remi inclines her head and offers her a small, flirty smile.

Together, they are practiced even if they are both playing into familir roles that have not yet been memorized between each other. Their clumsiness comes only from this being their first dance. Remi lets teeth graze skin, soft exhales a sign of her satisfaction as warm hands brush against exposed skin.

She leans into him, allowing him the control he seeks, willing to be bent for the sake of pleasure.

Remi brushes her nose against his cheek, drawn in by his closeness and the heat shared between them. She exhales, anticipating his touch and his attention, her eyes half-lidded but never straying from his face. His attention is lingering, but too soft. With a nudge of her knee and one hand now wrapping around his where it trails further down, she encourages him to be rougher.

"You don't have to be gentle."

Two-timing the League, not Rocket. Not yet, anyway. At least, she didn't have any plans to do such a thing. She was a criminal, a Pokemon smuggler, a poacher. She was bad news, with a bad reputation in specific circles. Fortunately, she was mostly a nobody in Hoenn, and she'd found her trainer identification and had flown under the radar.

"Why? You lookin' for work, kid?"

She sizes him up for a moment, considering. Sharing the cash pool was never really something she was altogether thrilled about, but extra hands were never something to sniff at. Chances are, with his help, they could bring in more Pokemon than she could all by herself - and even offering him a portion of the cut would still give her more than what she expected.

"Sure. But if shit goes sideways, I don't know you from Adam."

She then inclines her head, directing his attention to the huddle of people and Pokemon in the pop-up tents up ahead. There is a warm glow from a portable heater, and the rumble of a vehicle approaching leaves her grinning. This would be easier than she thought. All they had to do was load up the truck with Pokemon, the heater, and a few blankets for themselves, and these Pokemon headed to Lavaridge would easily go missing.

Before her very eyes, a Slowking had devolved all the way back to its beginning stage, with even the Shellder falling off of its tail. It clatters to the floor and sits there, shell agape.

Remi glances at the woman briefly, more than a little bit weirded out by the whole situation. Just what was she up to?

"I thought you were a nurse, not a scientist? Shouldn't you maybe leave this sort of experimenting to the bigwigs up top?"

Evelyn releases another Slowking and Remi crosses her arms over her chest, trying to parse what, exactly, the woman was trying to say. It takes her far too long, admittedly, but when she does, her brows shoot up and she stares blankly.

"You want to.. control people? With this poison? You're not serious, are you?"
