Sure ‘nuff, not long after he and Alex ducked out of site, the little Abra teleported back into their living room. It reached up to grab the biggest bag-- the trapped bag-- and tried to pull it, frowning and scratching its head when it couldn’t.

Alex’s Kirlia’s disable went off like a clicking of lights and Memo hopped out from around the corner.

“Freeze, thief!” he yelled, striking his best Phoenix Wright pose; the Abra threw its hands up, panicking, and tried to teleport-- but after finding it couldn’t, it decided to run.

And that, he was realizing, was the shape that his love took.

Memo frowned, reaching out a hand to touch Alex’s chest and hovering it, instead.

“You’re not weak. And I’m not going to die, honey. Promise.”

“You can have this one, too,” he said, handing off his own after he’d done little more than touched his fingertips to it, getting the tacky, sticky substance on the pads of his fingers as he stepped up to the ball toss booth.

After a transfer of tickets with his non-sticky hand, he tossed the little softball with the caramel-touched one; like magic, the sticky sphere lodged in the jug, and stuck, before slowly, slowly, dropping down with a hollow thunk.

He waggled his eyebrows at Alex to say see what I mean? before tossing another ball and sinking that one, too.

He reached up and grabbed Nike’s neck, turning his body to throw his legs over her, when suddenly Alex was above him on Kyouya. Memo gave his heart a shaky smile, a sign that things were getting better, and then his expression fell into one of confusion.

“Everything, what?” he asked, shaking off the dismay he felt roiling in his gut and squeezing his heart as the environment doing its best to unseat his courage. Thinking it was something innocent that had irritated his boyfriend, he continued, “What are you talking about? And... can it wait until we get home, please?” He was not above whining to get what he wanted.

They twisted and turned in the air, carving out crescent-moon grins around each other, and Memo felt like he was floating-- literally, physically, walking on air, instead of, you know, riding around on a giant dragonfly.

A second later and Alex’s was gone; then came the laughter and Memo was squawking in surprise as Alex’s pool noodle rammed up against Nike’s belly, causing the Flygon to pitch forward. Memo was unseated and rolled, slipping over her shoulder, falling for a split second before Nike zoomed around to catch him.

“Sneak attack!” Memo said, laughing breathless with the thrill of it. “You dirty scoundrel. I’ll get you for that. Charge!” And Nike zipped ahead, Memo coming up onto his feet to jump onto Alex’s Flygon so he could wrap his arms around him and pull him in for a kiss.

The Zarude appeared in a burst of action, nostrils flaring, snorting as he dodged his way and that, claws tearing at the ground as his cries began to ramp up in pitch.

“Kerchak, power whip,” Memo said, somehow able to be audible above the ape’s screams. He figured Greyson’s Ampharos was static enabled and didn’t really fancy hand-to-hand combat with that knowledge.

Two long lines of glowing green energy seamed along the ground as Kerchak grabbed fistfuls of earth and manipulated them into lash-like vines. He swung them about wildly like a wacky inflatable floating arm man for a bit before deciding he would listen to Guillermo’s orders and striking at the Ampharos.
