Wouldn’t be the first time she’s sat through a sophisticated explanation whether or not the alcoholic drinks were crappy or good at an establishment. Usually, that gives her a hint to how egotistical the person is or not. Though this guy seemed harmless enough. A little bit older than her. She finds herself listening to his aimless ranting while trying to get an idea of his character.[break][break]

Usually every year she’s typically alone, however, this new year felt more lonesome than usual. Now, she’s plagued with apprehensive thoughts of the future to come.[break][break]

For months she’s felt the rift between them. That feeling of slipping. Like the tension put on a rubber band right before it snaps. Their text messages are less seen, less frequent. Still, her heart yearns strongly for him and she tries to hold on. Especially with everything in the world saved and well. She really thought it could work.[break][break]
Right about until yet another date is forgotten. New Years Eve, no less. And call her egotistical, but she doesn’t consider herself forgettable.[break][break]
Entering the office quiet as a mouse she already sees James sleeping form. It’s already the first day of the new year, dead at night-- around three-thirty am. Abigail didn’t bother getting changed to come here either. No, she came in with the outfit she spent time putting together for their date to let it sink in. Let it burn. Like the ire in her heart. [break][break]
Leaning in, her gaze softens over his sleeping form. An image burnt into her memory many times. [break][break]
She smiles.[break][break]
It fades as her foot kicks down the office chair right from underneath him. Papers and other desk junk fly around and fall to the floor, as does he. Cold as the ice clinging to the windows, her face displays all her contempt and anger in that moment, and yet- her face is completely expressionless. She stands over him and crosses her arms. “Forgetting something?”

Draconic tribes, huh? Granted, she isn’t the most knowledgeable person about this. But why not pay a visit to a shrine? They're supposed to be lucky. Starting off the New Year with a new tradition wasn’t something she normally did, but there’s a first for everything. It’s chilly within the mysterious shrine grounds, so she’s wearing a coat and her Larvitar is also bundled for the trip. [break][break]
Quietly facing the shrine, Abigail brings her hands together in prayer while the little Pokemon in her arms settles, cozy as can be.[break][break]

December was somewhat of a somber month for Abigail. She had been far away from her FAMILY and a bit estranged. Still, someone like her doesn’t let the sheer cold of loneliness bother him. As she’s simply passing through, her attention swerves to the Maushold gathering materials for the harsh winter ahead of them. Survival of the fittest. Rustboro is bustling with festive Halloween spirit. Jack-o-lanterns were lit, music blaring from all sorts of different directions. Normally she just has a couple pieces of candy and stays in for the evening, but it’s nice to do something fun for a change. Especially with someone she likes.[break][break]
Her Illumise headgear illuminates brightly in the night as she holds her bag full of candy, looking down at the contents all cheerfully like a child would. Abigail hasn’t done this in such a long time- as a kid the concept was completely foreign to her. Candy? For free? Sounds sus. [break][break]

There’s nothing more depressing than a room full of piss-drunk people. Loud music blares through the house and it’s getting faster to Abigail than usual. People were worrying over a meteor, but she was the odd one out, not really giving a damn or partying till her brains turned to mush. That apathy of hers is like a poison, it slowly spreads from person to person, keeps those she doesn’t like away from her. [break][break]
Her sexy witch costume is pitch-black (save for the splash of purple here and there) complemented with her beautiful makeup job. Might as well look good. She stays away from the alcohol for now, and wanders around the house while everyone is too distracted.[break][break]
Abigail peeks inside a random room and sees some bum all over the bean bags. Great.[break][break]
