Lips wide with a smirk, Ash would give Shalin a thumbs up. With a Klefki in their midst, looking for keys wouldn't be a problem. It meant, they could at least move on smarter, over working twice as hard to hope to find another. With that in mind, the Klefki does have limited keys, so it was best not to overdo it.

"Sure. Hand me a pair." Ash smiled, and awaited the Beedrill letting him down to the same level. While it was certainly not a painful ride, Ash did ensure not to ride for long. He recalled the Yanmega. As soon as they were on the ground, with the Klefki giving them passage... the worst case scenario occurs.

A room of Zubat. Ashley feels himself sigh in nigh agony. "You know, I really wish this place would at least have the decency to take us to dinner first." Because this place? Was fucking them over.

As Shalin braves the wild room first, Ashley made sure to watch on. The Zubat weren't going to do anything, right? They had echolocation, so long as Shalin didn't make a noise. Ashley found out the hard way how wrong he was, as one bites onto her, and another latched on. Quickly racing onto the wooden bridge, rickety as it was, he was going to make sure Shalin was okay... that was when he found himself on the receiving end of two. And as he begins racing across, he can feel two sets of teeth digging into his abdomen, as he winces. "FUCK." He doesn't like being mean here, but even as Bongo WOOD HAMMERs one off, Ashley yanks one off himself and slams it onto his knees to throw it out.

By the time he reaches Shalin, and away from the room of Zubat, the stairs going up has him cry out.

"... five bucks says guard. Like, stone statue guard. Any bets?" At this point, even if their lives were in danger... might as well have fun with it.

Reinhardt was a bab, and truly he didn't mean it. The way the Nidorino's eyes watered as Isaac gave him those very polite head scritches told Isaac everything he needed to know. The way the mammal responds is precious.

Giving a nod to Isaac, the plan was simple; they were essentially playing rescue rangers today. Especially since, you know, the League can't do this kind of thing and be everywhere at once.

As Isaac confirms and holds back, Ash would put his hands into his pocket. And just as Isaac noted he'd hang back, Bongo was about to stick his branch into an open outlet. A great start for the Brain Trust. Ashley even makes a comment as he looks around. "That is a shockingly accurate name for them. All three of them."

Conga's cheeks inflate, as she tries to whap Ashley, and he chuckles. "Hey. I'm not wrong am I?"

All he could find on the outskirts of the plant was a penguin just trotting along, and a metal disc. Taking a sigh, he calls back out. "Nothing yet. These two seem to be minding their own business." the Empoleon eyes him. Ash squints.

Ash decides to levy a comment to change topic. "Honestly, it beats the trash you have to scrounge on the streets when you're young." He had been living in the foster care system and on the streets when he was young, so... carrots sounded pretty good.

Still, as soon as Greyson saw it, so did Ashley, and though his hands were in his pockets, he made a whistle. The moment he did? The ball went flying, and Ash turned to face Greyson.

"It's chill, guy. Doubt they'd be a good fit in the apartment, anyways. I mean... they'd scare Bongo half to death, let alone the others. And I personally don't think a poltergeist haunting my sink is worth my security deposit."

It's a playful laugh, but... he had a feeling that the Frillish was in more capable hands. "I'll get the next one."

With that single word, Ash surmises exactly what Theo says as a bullet, and its a critical impact to say the least. When he hears it, his pulse spikes. He's close, he's readying himself to make the kill. Every piece of pain he was subjected to, every bit of trauma, and this was what Theo asks?

"You think you deserve that? My respect?" He looks him dead in the eyes. Ash is shorter, but he no longer feels spineless in the face of his nightmare. He's not in his right mind. He's going to do something stupid.

"How bout this?" Stop. "Fight me in a three-v-three. You win, I'll respect you. I'll even come back to Rocket, no questions asked, since it's so much better now, right? I mean, I left before the pardon, so that means I'm still technically Rocket. But if I win?"

He gets right in his face, every word like acid sprayed onto Theo all at once. "You out yourself online. Every crime you've ever committed, to the public. Like a bullshit apology confessional video. I'll out myself too. I may be taken in, but you?" He makes a snide comment. "Unless the years have shriveled your balls up like your face. Grandpa." The last word was a taunt, and while Theo was surely wise enough not to be baited, he made sure he said it just like back then.

He could hear his heart pumping in his ear. And he realizes how stupid and outclassed he actually is...

Merry Happy, everyone!

I'll just grab the Capture Pack, ty ty ty. I have a Furfrou from this I can't wait to work on.

I know I haven't been around too much, with the first time I tried and overwhelmed myself, but I really appreciate all of you from the bottom of my heart. I've loved Pokemon since I was a wee bab with my first Gameboy Color and Crystal, so this place is magical in that I can write in a series I love. Seriously, I loved this place before, but now that I am more focused with just two characters over 4-5, it really is like I can finally not burn out in writing!

I love you all, you are all wonderful. I look forward to many more events! <3

So... kidnapped. Neat. Ashley's silver orbs stare at Kepler a moment too long, and he realizes that it isn't a joke the moment Isaac chimes in. Which raises questions. None of which Ashley wanted to ask right now, but here they were. Seeing that Isaac was desperately attempting to derail that choo-choo of a convo, Ashley understands and makes a left turn, grasping onto it.

"You're funny. I like that." The sarcasm was fun, and hearing the way that Kepler's sarcasm came out with his name made Ashley smile wide.

With the plan to split ingredients and cooking outdoors, Ashley nods with a light bit of enthusiasm. "That's fine. Splitting it helps me save on rent, and I'm sure that Pokemon will save me time cleaning dishes later." He places both hands in his pockets, turning towards Kepler, and then Isaac.

"Oh yeah. What are you guys feelin' for food? I've got a good number of recipes Pulse can bring up." The little Rotom swings itself around Ashley's head, and orbits around with a chime, looking up popular cooking recipes... by looking up top ten recipe lists. Pulse was excitable, that much was true. The little Rotom phone really did want to be helpful.

Ah. Two of them seemed to be late. With a wave towards the black-haired boy's arrival, Ashley gives a small smile and merely waves his hand. "Yup. Ashley Sawyer." he utters, leaning down now to place the half-empty carton of cigarettes with Bullet. "Trash, somewhere in town. You know what to do. Bongo's orders." He smiles. It was as much a cleansing exercise, as it was therapeutic to be out here.

As he cracks his neck back and forth, another arrival. One designated feminine, and Ashley had to piece together which of the trio. With the wave she gave, Ashley responds. "Hey, that makes three of us so far. Glad you both can make it!" Bongo surely did well to attract them so far, and with him hitting the block of wood so loudly, it would be difficult to miss him. Far too difficult.

With Bullet gone for just a moment, it left the excited monkey who eyed Momo and Sparkie with glee, while Sushi, towards Crash and Saber's barks, would respond as well as a Slowpoke could to bark.

With a yawn.

Jelly, however, was currently inside of Ashley's now, scared of the newcomers. But they didn't stop there. Soon after, past the treeline, a good friend of his had just arrived. Ashley returned his relaxed wave. "Hey Isaac. That makes four of us. Cool." Bongo was clearly ecstatic, but as the monkey bonked the wood block, he would looks at Watson too, from excited to ecstatic.

"Alright guys, feel free to set up. If you need help, I gotcha covered. I'm gonna to start the dhansak curry though." Eye movings around the quartet, he points towards the river. "That river is running clean water from some falls nearby, so it's perfectly good to wash off when we need to and let our Water Type Pokemon out." he explains, before getting up.

"Oh. And before I forget. Glad to meet you two. What are your names?"

"Heheh, you're built nicely at least. But I feel you. Gym or bust. This summer heat is killing me." With his hand, he pretends to have a rope around his neck, and tighten it, tongue out to display choking.

Even as the Binacle seems to poke around the duo, Ashley simply just enjoys the banter.

"I didn't go to med school, I'm just doin' what the black market guys say." He snickers, waving his hand forward. "Will have to tell the good doctor that the nice cave man didn't eat his carrots growing up."

This guy was chill. Even if the joke was getting out of hand, Ashley didn't mind so much.

Huh. Cute guy jumps a little. Squeamish? Or maybe anti-social? "Oh shit... sorry!" Ash feels regret for just barging in on their... whatever they're doing, but as his silver eyes shoot over to Isaac, the two are introduced to one another. He gives a wave to Kepler, flashing him a smile. "Kepler. Pretty unique name." He was smart and chill too? If this was Isaac's company, he didn't have to worry about his good friend.

When Isaac and Ash's fists collide with the bump of friendship, he explains himself. "Likewise, man. Didn't mean to intrude. I was just across the street when my friend cancelled lunch plans last minute. Pulse here told me. The little Rotom makes his binary tones, as he displays said text message. Cancelling plans last minute via text. Classy. "Saw you two, and wanted to say hello. If you wanted the company, I can pay for your lunch?"

It was just a friendly gesture. Least he could do for scaring the guy.

He cranes his head to Kepler, and tries to at least look apologetic it. "Either that, or we can get ingredients and I can make you both something?" His lips curled up into a big smile. Worst comes to worst, Ash doesn't mind his wallet losing some of its weight.

"We're not done here, Theo."

Ashley stands in Theo's way. Silver eyes filled with a twisted malicious desire, his lips curving into an nigh-unhinged smile as he stares down his former father-figure.

"So you do have a heart in there. But you don't have the balls to kill a traitor? Or maybe there's another reason?"

But he immediately spits on the good faith. They're in public, so Theo wouldn't dare right now. "Surprised you didn't up and off yourself. But I guess I shouldn't be. The good die young, Jubilee included." He didn't want to give Theo an inch.

If a firearm did come out, he had a plan. He had the training to use it. He would find a way to fight back. All he knew right now, was fuck Theo, fuck Rocket, and fuck the League for housing them anywhere nearby.

Another high five from the surprise gator. The crowd chitters and cheers, with Bongo and Conga practically hopping in place. Ashley was laughing at his excitement, and knowing that, Isaac wasn't far behind... though the almost Hydro Pump had Reinhardt nearly football kick the gator.

Isaac came in, scoped the situation, and had a solution. The towel over his hand now, Ashley tied it down, and looks to the dejected Nidorino. "Reinhardt, it's okay. Really."

With eyes over to Isaac now, the two share their customary fist bump, as Ash laughs. "Oh you know me, I like the danger. The hole in my arm is proof to that." He makes light of it, knowing that making jokes over it allows him to tackle that little Carvanha-sized problem headfirst, even if a ton of therapy might be needed.

Taking a second to absorb it all in, he finally responds. "Likewise. Suns been nice today." With his own grin, he finally chimes in on the plan. "Pretty simple. Place is a powerplant, right? Electric types come here often. We'll scope out the area, and look for any Pokemon in need. Think of it like... a Pokemon rescue shelter."

Now THAT was an idea for the books.
