Today was going to be one hell of a day. An explanation to his boyfriend later, a trip to the hospital, all this kind of sucked if he was being honest with himself. Alas, the groceries could wait, he had a injured lady to assist! At least that shoved the stinging pain if his face disappear and the ringing in his ear.

"It's just a scratch." He said, shrugging. He was super lucky it didn't go through his head. With a grunt, he looked at the clerk- who was on the phone. Assuming 911, he was soo confirmed as the sirens were going off. "Well, we can go by my arcanine and get there quickly, or we can take the more stable ambulance that's going to get here."

A pause as he turned to look back where the robber had been dragged. "Have half the mind to beat that man..." It was a very strong urge, he wouldn't lie.

Matt had moved out of the way as the two pokemon were in a stalemate chasing each other around the street. It looked like a old school cartoon, the cat trying to get the mouse, but in this case, dog getting the mouse. Kazzy snapped and missed, starting to grow frustrated he wasn't able to grab a hold of Juvon.

"If he wants to keep runnin' Kazzy, why not trip him up!?" Matt hollered over to the canine, who perked his ears and got just the idea what Matt meant by that. His fangs shrank down to normal size and he slammed his paws into the bricks below. The ground rumbled like a wave and went to cause several bricks to shoot up in front of Juvon, in an attempt to make him trip with Stones Edge!

Matt's own nerves were starting to get wrecked by the events around them. Kneeling down he grabbed a hold of Kazzy, holding the pup close to him. Trying to calm him by holding him. "It's okay bud, it's okay.." He repeated, trying to also assure himself it was fine. It was absolutely not fine, but he had to try.

Both head snaps towards the alert they were given. Matt froze, going to duck down to try and attempt to shield Kazzy from the dangerous, however his dog leapt from his arms to go defend his trainers! Jaws extended and fangs did as well, going to Crunch right down onto the arm of the pokemon, refusing to let go!

"Kazzy! No!" Matt called, more concerned for his partners health than his own.

Matt was busy adjusting the net ties to Nana while Nico busied himself with tugging up Kazzy onto the back of Nana. The pup came easily with his paw, barking and licking Nico's face in pure excitement. Tail wagging rapidly behind him as he went to wiggle himself into Matt's lap in the front. He sat at the head of Nana!

It caused Matt to get scooted back right into Nico. Turning to him a little flushed face, to steal a quick kiss to his cheek, and his focus going back to Josh. "Once I get better handling on Nana, we can go so fast it's like we're flying, but better!" He said, seeming very excited over this, an emotion he didn't show much.

"I can't wait to show you."

Was this really going to be worth all this sunburn? All this muscle training? To gain a six pack from all this swimming and diving?! Yes, it was. Matt sighed, he would keep diving. Going down deep to reach for the treasure!

Not hearing the guy rushing him, it meant he must have focused on someone else. Shit- he went to move. Only to see the robber being dragged by a inviable hand. Pausing at the sight, he turned to spot the psychic-type. Ah, that made sense now. Grunting, he rubbed his bleeding cheek. Fuck, that was going to leave a scar that nicodemus unken would notice..

Turning to finally look at Lulu, he went to approach her. "Sorry ma'am, are you alright?" Eyes downcast to her shoulder, his face paling as he shook his head. "Here, allow me to help? I can take you to the hospital- or bandage you up while the paramedics get here?" Already thinking far into the future and in overdrive.

"Oh... right, I'm Matt."

This man never thinks. Going to quickly snatch the pokeballs back- be was stopped by Isaac's hawk eyes. His own narrowed dangerously onto the MC. Rearing back he socked him in the jaw. Honestly, he did not give one shit about this guy right now. If he could get away with it, he would probably pummel him.

All those thoughts however danced away the minute Nico was in front of him. Catching those looks at him. Shame came to his face, the inside of his ears grew how with embarrassment. Giving him a shaky smile, his cheek was swollen, along with his eye. Barely able to keep it open. His fist was bloodied and bruised from the punching earler.

His whole body started to hurt, actually.

"Uh... Minx, I need a little help-" and there he went, falling forward.

Matt just looked sputtered on the ground. Chest hurt, back hurt, head hurt. Why was his face wet. Oh wait Nana was licking him. Groaning, what had tackled him? It was like a blur. Why was one of his pokeballs on the ground? Going to reach, he winced at the pain that caused. Shiiit. Did he break something? Or just seriously injure himself?

"I... think I'm okay?"

He was shaky, really trying to downplay the pain he was in. Since it was... probably a 10 if he was being honest. But he was jsut going to grin and bare it. "I need better training if I'm ever going to do that again... made a fool of myself, huh?"

MAtt tugged on the flippers and tugging down the goggles over his eyes. He was going to get such a bad tan from this, that Nico would end up making fun of him. It did not matter right now, he dove off into the water. Swimming and diving, it was his life right now!

There was a red hint to his cheeks, embarrassed about it. While she tended to the nets, he was checking out Nana's face. Looking over her bloody muzzle and down her back for any other signs of cuts. Not seeing any, he sighed. "We'll get to the Pokemon Center asap after this, alright girl? You did such a good job."

Nana licked his cheek, soon going to simply lay down. The old gal wanted her rest. Giving her a gentle pat, he turned back to Annalise.

"Oh, I don't really do anything. I'm traveling with my partner while he does the gym challenge, I'm sort of doing that but... eh. Just doing it to do it."

Soon he was going over to the nets. "You need help?"

Matt heard the question, scowling to himself. So someone did see him. Just ignore it, lay there, maybe they'll go away. Well, she did. What came next had Matt being slammed into his fight or flight reaction.

Boom.

Shattering glass as the bullet hit the window behind them. Matt shoved himself up on pure adrenaline, going to blindside the shooter since he was distracted with Lulu. Grabbing the man by the wrist, he wrestled the gun in his hands. Back and fourth they went, the gun pointed at Matt's face, jerking it narrowly out of the way as the gun shot off again. It skidded across his cheek and ear- making him yelp and stumble back.

His right ear was ringing, unable to tell the difference in where sounds were right now. Stumbling back as he tried to shield himself behind something, so he could regain his senses.
