A soft chuckle left his lips as he watched the Pokemon interact afar, all while a musing gaze scanned the nearby surroundings before noting a larger rock just a small ways away. Clicking his tongue within a soft, absentminded manner, he began a short stride towards it, leaning upon it with arms crossed as he waited for the others to finish mingling.[break][break]

In the process, however, a small flicker caught his attention. With a risen brow, he tilted his head while moving slightly in an attempt to catch a better look—for a blue flame was a bit unordinary—before noting what the source of said blaze was.[break][break]

As quickly and as leisurely as they'd initially joined together, his arms parted from one another as he drew a hand towards the remaining Safari Ball upon his person. There seemed to be an oddly hued Charcadet some ways away— and lucky for him, it hadn't seemed to notice him as it walked along.[break][break]

So, with careful aim, he tossed the Safari Ball along, watching as it collided with the little soldier with a quick flash. He went to collect it once it fell dormant after a few shakes.[break][break]

Wherever their destination was, it seemed that their trek was—yet again—cut short at the sight of yet another friend-to-be.[break][break]

A momentary one by the look of it, though. Just as they brushed past several patches of grass, an Elekid seemed more than intent to break through their bounds and call for their attention— and just like Mothim to a flame, it was easily garnered. At the sight of the electric-type, the group perked up and yapped before starting over and making their greetings.[break][break]

Their trainer, meanwhile, took the opportunity to finally catch up to them, breathing a sigh of exasperation and amusement, alike, as he crossed his arms and watched them.[break][break]

Equally as simple as it was useful in the grand scheme of things. He palmed the capsule within his hands absentmindedly before stashing it with the rest of his finds for the meantime, all while hues of slate passed through his surroundings once more. Eventually, he'd scoped another point of interest to search before returning to the surface for a brief moment.[break][break]

He only took long enough to gather a proper breath before readjusting his gear again and beginning his descent another time.[break][break]

At some point, the little ones seemed to get a burst in energy, evident by the manner in which they careened further along the pathways within the zone they occupied. A smile of equal parts amusement and exasperation tugged upon his lips at the sight, and although he allowed them to scamper far at first, he eventually breathed a sigh before picking up a pace in favor of jogging after them.[break][break]

He glimpsed throughout his surroundings on his way through, though in light of his own Pokemon covering more and more distance as the seconds passed, he hadn't quite had the time to take most of it in, instead keeping his focus upon the others as they continued on their ways to—...[break][break]

He listened to her words with an idle smile of amusement, turning his head slowly to trail his gaze within her path as she walked along. Though she nodded to the couch before taking her own seat, he merely hummed and raised a brow, considering her briefly before turning towards the kitchen just a small ways away, instead. He slipped by the counterspace, making a short stride towards one of the coolers secured by the refrigerator.[break][break]

”Well, at the very least, you were quite well dressed for the occasion~.”[break][break]

A touch of teasing amusement dripped from his words, though found itself dissipated as swiftly as it arrived.[break][break]

With just a few motions, he opened the aforementioned cooler before shutting it once more, having plucked one of the chilled bottles that resided during the time in between. All the while, he shifted his attention towards the racks hanging just a small ways away, reaching over and gently sliding a couple of glasses from their perch before turning around.[break][break]

”...I’d even say overdressed for a simple appointment, honestly~.”[break][break]

He gave her a sideline glance as he walked over, smirking slightly before setting the glasses atop the table before them. With a gentle pop, he uncorked the bottle within his grasp before beginning to pour its contents within each of the glasses.[break][break]

There were a number of things he'd was both planning and not planning to do during the festivities, and in the grand scheme of things, he'd only been swayed to take part in the diving event before him at the behest (and persistence) of the Mareanie that ushered him along. He watched as she seemed all too excited and eager to plunge into the waters, already shuffling along the sands and submerging herself.[break][break]

All things considered, though, it was at least endearing to watch.[break][break]

So as she disappeared into the waters, he sighed quietly before following after her. He waded into the waters before beginning to swim along once he'd reach deep enough waters.[break][break]

He returned the gesture, chuckling as he took the closest corners to him with both hands, himself.[break][break]

”It was the least I could for what was, again, a lovely event in the past~,” he hummed back, offering her a slight bow and nod of the head while accepting the card. The sentiment was cast aside just as quickly as his own Pokemon broke their attention span, truly. As the familiar flash of a captured Pokemon sparked within the air, the group seemed to pause for just a moment—glancing amidst one another—before immediately beginning to bound further down the path once more. Just like especially zany children, it seemed like once something was out of sight, it was immediately forgotten and out of mind.[break][break]

Initially, he'd intended to leave for the other zones after making his capture, but just as he'd begun to lift himself back up from the shoreline, he couldn't help but glance sidelong towards his Pokemon at the sound of their chatter. He watched as they seemed to befriend another Pokemon in the area— one that looked familiar enough, yet still seemed...different.[break][break]

Nevertheless, he hummed and chuckled softly at the sight of their mingling banter and play, walking over some paces and merely stopping a small ways away, lest he scare the creature off. He waited until the Zigzagoon turned itself in tandem to his group's frolicking before tossing another Safari Ball its way.[break][break]
