Sitting astride Daikenki's shoulders, Yuina sat up a bit straighter and moved to draw her hair back, wringing it out a bit for the moment while they took some time to rest. They would have to go back under to check the other sections of supports, but goodness if they needed a minute between each dive. The water was rought.[break][break]
"Ecco? They look like a great addition," Yuina smiled, holding her hair back away from her neck for a moment as she looked to Josh.[break]
How had she been since? She still felt like she had so little room to talk, it wasn't her place... Especially since she still didn't know if she should truly be in the league's ranks at all without knowing who she was... If she was dangerous...[break][break]
"Uhm, I... I haven't tried to get into the discourse much... I don't really feel like I have a place to say anything or have strong feelings about it, especially since I don't have any badges either," Yuina said first, instead though, she could at least be a platform for others feelings, those who's feelings were far more valid and engrossed in what this all meant.[break][break]

One by one the criminals and their Pokemon were detained, and officials had started to move into the institution itself to start accounting for damages and losses, to get the employees and other civilians for statements and such. Things were wrapping up, but it would be a long while before everything was done. The clerical work was necessary.[break][break]
Yuina glanced out to her few Pokemon, they were making sure the last of the robbers were taken care of as the woman beside her spoke about getting an armband for herself.[break]
Yuina eyed her for a moment, she didn't sound particularly... inclined to wear the armband for the right reasons... But, it could very well be a joke... She hoped.[break][break]
"Well, this kind of work isn't the usual stuff for rangers, if that deters you at all," Yuina offered first, but it was given with a similar, musing smile. No need to get her hopes up if she intended to be involved with bank robberies more often.[break][break]
"Ranger work is more for the preservation of the environment and protecting the Pokemon of the region. Poaching, black market stings, weather disasters and relief efforts," she described, truly only an incredibly basic, surface level explanation of what her work involved.[break]
"If you're interested though, there's always room in the organization... Even volunteer work would never be turned away," she offered, if she was serious about it... Yuina looked up though, one of the officers calling for her.[break][break]
"Time for our statements, and then you're free to go? I've gotta stick around a while longer, but thanks again for your help today."

Shifting his talons in the sand, Delton looked out from beneath the brim of his hat at the two that came down from the air, glittering still in his ground tera. Yuina smiled though, lifting the brim of her own hat a bit higher as Shalin moved forward with her enthused greeting.[break][break]
"A noise citation? I guess I never considered that much... It's too bad there isn't an airfield around here for you to take advantage of," Yuina returned, Hoenn wasn't much in the way of air transport, not like other regions that had much larger air bases with airplanes and such. Sea travel was much more where the region maintained its expertise.[break][break]
"We're getting some readings for the recent weather patterns that have changed due to the Mt. Chimney eruption," she answered, holding out the different pieces of equipment that she was keeping an eye on.

He had a fair point, the environmental shifts that were taking place all over the central portion of the region were rampant. Pokemon were agitated, parts of the mountain were likely unstable, so move together it was.[break][break]
Yuina watched the Corviknight take to the air, something to watch their backs, which meant that Kano could scout ahead. She looked to the Arcanine and nodded to send the canine forward. With a bark the fire type padded off along the mountain side, keeping his senses keen and sharp for anything amiss.[break][break]
"Alright, I suppose. Definitely better off now than I was on that beach," she returned, did she ask the question back? It seemed inconsiderate... Not only was she unsure of if she had ever dealt with the grief of loss before... She didn't quite exactly know how to interact with someone who was definitely going through a loss...[break]

And then a pause... What could she say? It would be nice to see him again, under better circumstances... Condolences? But that would be insulting, given how little she did know Kyle... Would it be insensitive to just get going into their assigned portion of the mountains?[break][break]
"Uhm, we found a sort of path that we can use to start making our way up the mountain? Unless you wanted to split up with our Pokemon to cover more ground..."

Sure... Yeah, she was an elite ranger and Josh was a champion... But that didn't make the threat of a mine field any less prominent. Yuina drew in a steady breath though, the league was pretty intense right now, preparing for... The worst... She rathered not to think about the 'faction conflict' though.[break][break]
"Alright, yeah, this is fine," she returned, walking carefully already with Ohm at the head, moving towards the corner just as Josh had on the other side. She watched the paradox start to gingerly dig into the ground, and she wondered if she might draw out Dig the Ursaluna... Maybe if things came to a point that his keen senses might help.[break][break]
Moving forward with the eel though, Yuina watched the electric type loft through the air, and it seemed that his innate relationship with the natural electromagnetic fields of the earth might be just what they needed... She just needed to learn what his indicators meant.[break][break]
"Hmm... It looks like when Ohm hovers over a particularly potent spot of electromagnetic fields, he gets pushed higher into the air, like stronger opposing magnets being forced together... I think that means we can go this way."

Taking a look at the readings that were popping up on the radar, Yuina was noting the surge of energy, it definitely looked like a full on sandstorm was getting ready to form and was heading their way...[break]
But at Delton's sweep of his wing, looking up to a whirl of sand coming right towards them, it did begin to dissipate, revealing a Flygon, and a rider... A rider that she definitely did recognize.[break][break]
"Shalin? Hey, it's good to see you," Yuina remarked, recognizing the eccentric. It had been some time since last they saw each other, but they perhaps weren't in the best spot to catch up...

It was perhaps bold, and a little brash of Yuina to lurch forward and snatch Eris into the picture the way that she did, but the string of giggles that followed as the shutter clicked meant that it was all worth it.[break]
Yuina was all smiles, giggling a bit in kind as she brought the camera in closer as the picture began to emerge, but just as she had snatched Eris into the frame, Eris snatched the picture from the camera just as quick. Hands like a vice.[break][break]
Waiting on bated breath, Eris played out the anticipation of waiting to see what the picture was going to look like, and as she held it out to Yuina, offering it to her, laughing and giggling almost turned into a small sniffle.[break][break]
"It-- it's perfect. Thank you, Eris, for letting us hang around. I'm glad that, not knowing what might happen tomorrow, we got to have this today," Yuina smiled softly, trading Eris the picture she held for her camera back. It was so... real... A real memory... Yuina would hold onto it forever.

Following the coordinates given by Melody's alert was only necessary for so long as Yuina rushed through the air astride Harrow's shoulders. Moving farther north, towards the forests of Fortree, she could already feel it, the frayed edges of time space. And in the near distance the very fabrics shredding apart as the distortion tore through reality. Now she just had to find Melody and Ollie...[break][break]
From above, the shadow of Harrow's figure sweeping over the land scape was brief before the sound of hissing steam was heard from a Pokeball dropping through the air. The Braviary rushed over Ollie and Melody as Yuina came down from his back, meeting Daikenki now that emerged from his ancient Pokeball. And courtesy of Melody herself, Yuina now donned the sygna suit that bound her and her 'distortion defender' together.[break][break]
"Melody, Ollie! Are you okay," Yuina called, she heard Melody's cries, she saw the red remnants of what she recognized as a powerful Bloodmoon attack... And Daikenki hissed with an open maw as the green eye and glowing red moon within the trees emerged again.[break][break]
"A Bloodmoon Ursaluna, get up close or stay out of its range, their special attacks are too powerful," Yuina cautioned, and that was Daikenki's queue to rush forward with his seamitars, fueled by the brave nature of facing another distortion together.

He didn't know her, she didn't want him to know her, and yet... He knew exactly her innermost struggle.[break]
Her back was turned to him, she turned to leave, she was done, but still, for some reason she stopped as he continued to speak. Maybe it was because she knew he knew things and was so desperate for anything to fill that hole inside of herself, even the smallest bit... Or maybe it was because she wanted more reasons to be furious at him because she didn't have anywhere else to place her anger for her circumstances...[break][break]

Standing there in her doorway, Yuina embraced Nomi when it was reciprocated, feeling her fall apart at her question. In that very moment, Yuina's mind was made up, it didn't matter what the papers said or what anyone else said. Her care was real, Nomi was real, and that disippated the last remnants of that arbitrary line. It didn't matter, not when this person she considered a friend, a person that she knew outside of whatever had happened, was hurting and possibly in danger. Dividing lines be damned.[break][break]
Yuina stayed there for however long Nomi needed, it was clear in her body the tension and weight that she was holding, and when the hug broke, Yuina took a step back with Nigma as they were allowed fully inside and the door closed behind them.[break]
"Tea sounds great, thank you," Yuina returned softly, following Nomi through her quaint domain.[break][break]
"I did see the paper... That's why we came to find you," she breached the topic first, but still there was no accusation, no bitterness or scorn to her words. Still, only concern, worry...[break]
"But I wanted to hear what happened from you... Or not, I don't expect you to tell me everything, or anything... I guess I just wanted to know that you were okay, and let you know that you still have a friend..."

Drawing closer, Yuina studied the ceratops as she neared, watching it and watching Eddie as the two interacted. Thus far, still, the temperament didn't seem to be too much of a concern, unless it just wasn't bothered by Eddie. That either meant it saw Eddie as no threat, or so much so that it was only waiting for a right opportunity to strike and move on...[break][break]
"Of course Eddie, I couldn't give it another thought. I'm very interested in seeing another ceratops in comparison to Omura, the one I've met," Yuina returned, already she had noticed a couple of differences between the two. Omura was a different coloring, his crest in particular was different than that of Eddie's 'Achilles'.[break]
Yuina stopped short of approaching closer, glancing again to the ceratops in question, she watched its body language, the way it stared her down. It wasn't out of a place of aggression though. She had to assume that its senses were just as keen and its natural instincts just as powerful that it could either smell or sense that she too had come into contact with another of its kind. If all went well, she might even be able to study two of the same species interacting, but she certainly wasn't going to push the envelope so soon.[break][break]
"What have you learned about him so far? Anything at all," Yuina wondered, there was still so little gathered about any of the species that dwelled in the depths below. Any information, no matter how minute it might seem was information that wouldn't have been gleaned before.

Yuina listened carefully and intently to Cian as he spoke, stopping Ayashi for a moment as she shuffled a series of Spikes out of their path, likely left from a passing ground type that dwelled within the tunnels. No need for the Wyrdeer to step on them or for the spikes to get stuck to the wagon after all.[break][break]
"And for all of the good you've done, the example you set every day... Why would Greyson still hold your past over you? Does anyone else do that," she wondered, and she was genuinely concerned for her friend, it was awful to think that anyone could be truly mean to Cian. He didn't deserve it... But it was a morbid curiosity too... When people find out, when league officials knew, did they always lord someone's past over them, and never let them forget it?
