"copycat. play rough." his sylveon crackles with electricity before hurtling forward with WILD CHARGE, while his klefki throws another pokemon to the ground. a feraligatr comes up behind marcel, but its teeth collide with a PROTECT before it can take a bite out of its target.

some stay, some run. as the battle goes on, more begin to fall into the latter, making it all too easy to pick up the stragglers. marcel dodges the swing of a pirate's knife before his attacker's brought down with FOUL PLAY. when he next glances around, he finds the other pirates in similar states. job done.

"here," he grabs a coil of rope from the top of a crate, holding it out to giada, "secure them, would you?" using his free hand, marcel pulls out his phone and tells his rotom to call his most recent number.

"yeah." he lifts his phone to his ear. "you can send them over now. be quick." they wouldn't have been able to carry all this loot themselves--the grunts situated around ever grande city would be making their way over now, guided by the coordinates sent out by marcel.

"morgan," he warns, though there's a slight smile on his face, "we've got a job to do." climbing off onto rocky ground, he gives his lapras a pat on the neck before returning it to its pokeball. his klefki moves to rest in his pocket, lest its clinking ruin the element of surprise.

they couldn't have walked too far before his sylveon came bounding back, clearly having found something. marcel walks some distance behind his pokemon, motioning for giada to follow. an offset to the path they'd been walking down led to a smaller cave, brimming with pirates and their loot.

"get ready." he tells giada. there's a pause before he adds, "and try not to kill anyone if you can." they only needed them incapacitated for the time being, long enough to retrieve what was theirs, and probably some more.

when he gave the signal, his sylveon would burst into the cave with HYPER VOICE. close behind would come his klefki, who disoriented the pirates with MIRROR SHOT.
