road construction was always a small inconvenience to even the most seasoned of travelers as it ate up their time more than anything else. However this particular piece of road work served another purpose. As the lone human standing next to a "road closed" sign he was the lone trooper warning people of the dangers ahead and pushing them off to a detour around their work, Kazimir kept his eyes trained to see if he could spot certain types of people. People who were probably handling something that they shouldn't be holding onto or stuff that the League might be able to find much more use for than Rocket could.

Was it a very out there plan?

Yes.

Was it worth it?

Probably not.

Still someone had to try and cut them off as quickly as possible and what better way to go under the radar than to go undercover? It made so much sense in the movies so this was bound to work! ...Right?

The sound of the waves was so calming that them alone was probably keeping Kazimir sane as he approached Rocket territory and was stopped by someone. Someone who had a fine appreciation for keeping one's body in top shape. It was a shame that they were on different sides on this shore, he could use a new work out buddy. "Ah tossing around you Rockets for one really helps keep these girls in top shape. You guys are heavier than ya look y'know?"

Kaz raises and arm and slaps his bicep as it bulges from flexing it. As he does he can't help but smile at the other guy as violent thoughts started to cloud his mind. "How about I give you a live demonstration on my routine? I think I can do about thirty reps bench pressing ya. Y'know, once I knock you the fuck out." He adds a "playful" wink to the end of his sentence.

Again the sound of the waves were so soothing, they were keeping Kaz from just outright jumping at the guy like a rabid Granbull.

As the rain pours it belts against the material of a tarp as its set up where the group came in to give them a bit of cover from the pouring rain. Kazimir had offered to help set it up to give them a sort of makeshift base that they could use while searching out in these neck of the woods. With the way the weather was acting up it was probably needed more now than ever. "And...done!"

Plunging the final stake into the ground the tall man wiped his brow despite the rest of his body being soaked, "That outta keep us dry mostly. And it should be nice cover if our missing folks find us instead." That was wishful thinking but someone on the team needed to be optimistic and keep up the team morale.

While he was busy making sure their little plastic shelter was set up he looked back at his Urshifu who was standing on the wooden bridge facing the open plain in front of them. His fur was completely drenched but the stern look in his eye didn't seem all that too bothered by it. Instead they just kept focused on the woods around them, scanning them to try and detect anything that might be out there whether it be their missing people or this supposed beast that was out there hungry for blood.

Because this bear was hungry for some bloodthirsty beast jerky.

He had to wonder how long its been since he first touched land in Hoenn. Thinking back he only came to this place because Team Rocket was causing trouble and he remembered hearing about how fucked Kanto was because of them. So he figured he could do something because hearing of the deeds done was something that could just turn his stomach. Now it seemed like the region he called home for the last few years was nothing but a trouble magnet and it needed all the help it could get. He just hoped that the help he was offering was making a big difference somewhere, so that's why he was here back in this park to try and build up his own team a little more. The more the merrier and all that.

As she whispered the legends of spirits inhabiting bodies of water the hairs on the back of Kaz's neck started to stand on end. At first he was all for taking a dip into the water and just letting it carry them somewhere down the line but after hearing that he wasn't so sure. They might end up going a whole different way if they had some nasty visitors show up while they were swimming in the water. No way he was going to take that chance especially where they were, but still that would mean that they were left at an impasse if they couldn't move forward in any way.

"Hm...well I guess if we had someway to safely go downstream then...we'd wouldn't have to worry about that." But would they even be able to build one with what they had on hand?

Then the sound of a bell rung out.

Kaz turned his head and saw the source but he couldn't believe it, down from up the river came a small dingy boat with a small silver creature at its helm that came to a crawl before stopping right in front of the duo and waving at them with a greeting. Kazimir scanned the boat and its captain as well as noticing that underneath it and the water was a pair of Basculegions pressed against the boat as if they were flotation devices.

"Guess that answers that." Answers what exactly? Their prayers? He did wish they had a safe way to travel and lo and behold one came right to them. As he took a step towards the boat the small creature let out a shrill cry jumping right in front of his foot and then jumping to the back of the boat where a small chest lay. It opened it up and revealed a small cache of coins of various metals and amounts from the looks of it. "I...think we have to pay. Right?"

The Ghimmieghoul nodded it head furiously in agreement with Kaz's assessment and held out its hands. Reaching in and taking out a small bag Kaz held it over the chest and let its contents pour out, an impressive stream of silver and bronze coins that managed to fill up the small chest quite nicely earning a look of wonder on the small creature's face. "That ought to be enough for two people right? Right." The little creature seemed to be too preoccupied with counting its payment letting Kaz climb on in, the boat moving around thanks to his large frame and weight as he held out a hand to robin coello to help her into the boat. "Feels safe enough, climb on in!"

When Doug looked back at Kaz the hero just shrugged his shoulders with a grin, "Hey, won't hear me complaining, just make sure none of them try to run for it." Even if treated they were still criminals and Kaz wasn't going to let them go without speaking to authorities. Thieves still had to pay for their crimes after all.

With his newfound health backing him up he and his Chansey were able to gather up the Rockets and line them up for the doctor to work his magic on them. As he watched the case open with needles he couldn't help but wince a little at how "prepared" he was for this. Guess he needed any and all test subjects as he could get. "So...two questions."

He's been curious about it while he was gathering them up and finally found the courage to ask, "One. What changed to make you go from career soldier to nurse? Second. Are the higher ups fine with you being a mad doctor? Cause your stuff works but I don't think using a legendaries's "parts" are uh...well something I thought they'd entrust to someone else. No offense."

The Shadow Punch came from right under the Roserade and found its mark on the Grass-type's face. It stumbled back holding its nose, or whatever counted as a nose, and glared back at the Marshadow. Its eyes started to lightly glow as it raised its arm towards the little shadow and a burst of Extrasensory power exploded forth. Its anger fueled the psychic energy it sent out nearly rocking the machines surrounding it as it aimed for some payback.

Meanwhile Pokkenger found his leg stuck as his opponent had some good instinct and/or sense. With a simple push the costumed crusader could feel himself suddenly lean back and his whole body being pulled to the floor. With his leg being taken from underneath him there was nothing to hold him up and the hero fell onto his back with a loud thud and a small yelp escaping his masked lips.

He may have been thrown onto his back but he wasn't out quite yet, he knew that if he stayed like this it would be a death sentence. So he kicked. He kicked with his free foot wildly to try and push his attack off of him and shove him back to give himself some space.

Climbing down from floating island to floating island only got easier when the islands were close to one another, if they weren't then they just look for one of those wispy bridges to cross over like he's done before. That or resort to a leap of fate, they were already in a sort of limbo in the afterlife the more he sees of this place, so it was probably the best place to wind up as a ghostly spirit. Of course while he was probably only half serious he turned to the person he had tagging along with him into the border this time. Behind her was his Urshifu who was taking up the back to keep an eye out for anything they might encounter in here, reports of people fighting in here were starting to become frequent.

"Y'know this might actually be a fun place to vacation too," he said jokingly hoping to keep the mood of the party light, "Nice scenery and atmosphere, plus there's always plenty of company around the corner if ya get lonely." Speaking of vacation they were still on a mission to try and find a place to set up camp for the Rangers. So far they had no luck until they managed to get off the floating islands and came across a stretch of river that seemed to go off into the distance, on the other side of it was nothing but mountain range meaning that they were cut off from that direction.

"Well...guess we've hit a wall here. Maybe just take a break and think about our next move? Unless you think your up for a swim down this river to see where it goes, kind of our only other route here." They were only on a small stretch of land that didn't really feel usable thanks to how closed in it felt and appeared to be and the river was the only thing cutting right through it.
