As Sprigatito frolic around their radiant rascal friend, magic tricks are performed with their pollen-filled flower bombs.[break][break]

More grass type Pokemon in the area were starting to pop up, just like she had been looking into in the Petalburg woods. There was something about the time of year? The Season? She wasn't quite sure, but Yuina knew that it was time to go investigate! It was also reported that one of the grass type Pokemon called a Mewoscarada was glowing, and wearing a glittering crown on its head? She wasn't quite sure what that was about, but if it was more powerful, it was definitely worth keeping an eye on just to make sure that nothing serious happened...[break][break]
Making it to the outskirts of Littleroot Town, Yuina made a careful trek out to the area where it was said the Pokemon had been spotted, and sure enough there was a field full of green feline Pokemon running around. Some of them were much smaller, a previous form maybe? And a handful of others were stood on two legs, conversing with each other. There was one though that stood out, in the center of all of these Pokemon, the one that wore a glittering crown of flowers atop its head, wowing and captivating the other Pokemon with its flower that it twirled and flitted around its head, like it was a magic show of some kind, it was entertaining them all. It really was fascinating to see, and Yuina smiled at the showmanship of that particular Pokemon, it surely knew how to hold an audience!

She had never seen a swarm before. Dozens of grass-type cat pokemon were scattered among the field. Even its highest evolution was present, the confident and tall feline pokemon like pleased ringmasters or magicians among an audience. At her distance, she was surprised to catch the eye of one of the Meowscarda, one with a glint in her eye and a promise of trouble. Robin felt a tremor of excitement shoot through her. This moment was almost supernatural. The unusual scene, the charged atmosphere, and the magic of such a spontaneous event all thrilled her. She wished for a camera, desperate to capture a photo even more than a pokemon.

"Heyyy, Brando, look at that!" Frank exclaimed to his Wigglytuff, pointing down the hill at a field adjacent to Route 101. Below them, several Meowscarada had gathered. Puffs of pollen and seeds filled the air, conjured into being as if by MAGIC.[break][break]

Frank smiled when he saw the Sprigatito in awe of their evolved counterparts. "Aren't they cute? Maybe we can nab one of them to join our happy little family."[break][break]

The Wigglytuff made a noise of encouragement.[break][break]

"I agree. Let's sneak up while they're distracted."[break][break]

Brando at his side, Frank made his way as stealthily as possible down the hill, out of the wild Pokémon's line of sight. As the pair drew near one of the Meowscarada, Brando tried to lull one of them to sleep with SING so his trainer could throw a Pokéball.[break][break]

The gentle gust of the forest canopy was everything she wanted and more following her indulging of a Littleroot street witch's tarot magic; there was the occasional skeptic passing by every now and then while the reading was taking place, but Desiree could not help but shun them off with a side eye every time they reaffirmed their hatred and disbelief. Despite how it only consisted of a one-card spread rather than the typical three, as per the pinkette's request, she and the metaphysical healer delved into just what her cards wished to tell her in great detail- and with the pulling of the Empress card, the third of the major arcana, it affirmed her hunch that moving to Hoenn was the right decision for both her career and her wellbeing despite the grim veil of war that cloaked its horizons.[break][break]

"Look over there, my blossoms~ ♡" She'd smile, redirecting the three of her blooming pokemon's gazes at the pollen clouds emanating from the newfound swarm of feline pokemon. It was a beautiful sight- little Sprigatito frolicking around their fully grown counterparts, embracing the floral magic that wavered around them. Was quite fitting too, accompanying her trip to the dainty town to meet with the practitioner. Sparking up one of her floral cigarettes, Desiree would watch in delight as the two Florges and the glimmering Cherrim would use their acquaintance with nature to weave flower crowns for themselves and their trainer with wild weeds and lilies of the valley.[break][break]

A spare flower crown rested on the edge of their quilt, sewn by Cherub with delight. Perhaps this would be a crown fit for if any Sprigatito or Meowscarada wandered from the rest of the pack like the adorable Bounsweet did those few swarms they had attended prior? What a kind gesture! But it didn't compare to the diadem of crystalline resting on the head of one of the grassy magician pokemon; that was a crown for a supreme.[break][break]

The Meowscarada were performing a veritable magic show at the gathering at Route 101, from juggling to disappearing flowers, Nenet watched with amusement as the pokemon put on their show. The performance continued on, and with a puff of purple smoke a little Sprigatito appeared in their midst as some sort of finale. She hated to interrupt the show, as it seemed to be starting back up again, but with a flick of her wrist Nenet tossed a pokeball and hoped for the best.

"Magic isn't real. It's not. The only magic that exists is making the two digits in my bank account disappear." Howard said as he roasted a marshmallow over the fire.

A fire crackled as Howard camped next to a bus stop with a pitched tent. This hadn't been the plan. He had missed the last bus to Rustboro by five minutes. Five! Of course, the only public service Hoenn or its League could get right was the time of which a bus departed. Howard had dug up a whole slew of things, including a hat that allegedly belonged to an ancient magician, but he had never seen a bus leave on time.

Ah well, at least he had marshmallows. Howard took one of his stick and prepared to eat it. He bit down into it, and ended up biting his finger. What? Did he drop it? No. Howard only had so many, and with how much he had spent of his meager savings to buy these, there's no way he'd just drop it.

What was this, some sort of magic show?

Howard turned towards his bag of 'mallows, only to see it missing. Looking up, he saw a strange green cat running off with the bag.

"GET BACK HERE!" Howard roared as he got up and sprinted after it. "THOSE WERE TWELVE PD!"

sterling watches the cats cavort from a safe distance. they're hesitating, not sure what to do... if they charge right in guns-ablazing, they'll probably get destroyed. they have their charcadet at their side, waiting to see if maybe one will break off from the others, and then sterling can challenge it to a battle.

"my dad got me a magician for my 10th birthday," sterling tells their pokemon. "i mean, at the time, i thought magic was real... pretty cringe, i know." the charcadet just looks at them, and sterling sighs. "yeah, alright, you probably don't even know what magicians or birthday parties are."

somebody else interrupts the feline playtime. sterling watches, and a straggler breaks off. they pick up a pokeball and nod to their charcadet. "alright. it's go time." they head off in search of a new companion.

Despite the brilliant luster that shined on the lead cat Kaz couldn't help shake this feeling of unease when he was staring at it. Something about it almost convinced him that this simple magician was something of a dark magician just bidding its time till it strikes and unleashes some nefarious plot. Or maybe work was starting to get to him and Kaz was just being unnecessarily paranoid today. Either way he might as well help clear them off the roads at the very least, so he took out a trio of Pokeballs and started to juggle them as he approached, hoping that his simple parlor trick would be enough to rival their magic tricks.

Jack's head spun as the cat pokemon's magic tricks both entertained and confused him. The fluid motions of the pokemon and their flower bombs attracted the eye even as they played their mischievous tricks. Jack shook his head and cast a wary eye around them, making sure nothing was sneaking up on him and Watts.[break][break]

"Why don't we show them your disappearing act, Watts," Jack said to his faithful boltund as one of the flower bombs landed nearby. In a flash the boltund was crouched and waiting near the bomb. When it exploded, a cloud of pollen spores hid the pokemon from view until Watts lunged forward in a shower of sparks.
