Male Meowstic executed miracle eye in an effort to combat that problem, letting its psychic energy attempt to hone in on the creature. Bailey cast her eyes from that executed attack to her Gigalith, noting that the rock-type pokemon was still standing from that thunderous blow.[break][break]

They shared a single glance.[break][break]

Outside the warehouse, Blaziken was able to stand; trembling as the power of speed boost filled its limbs once more. Hand to its knee, the fire-type has to fight through its pain as its limbs became inflamed; another flame charge.[break][break]

“Kyle! Call back your Obstagoon!” She would shout, betraying the intentions of her plan.[break][break]

Blaziken honed in, bursting through the same hole that it had created with its own body; a single leg extended as it intended to collide into the side of the Ultra Beast.[break][break]

But the impact never came; ally switch executed by female Meowstic as the fire-type was mere inches away from attempting to strike the Ultra Beast.[break][break]

And it was replaced by Gigalith.[break][break]

explosion detonated. What little remained of the rock-type's health surrendered as the pokemon chose to self-destruct.[break][break]

She had her capsule ready, attempting to withdraw the creature as Blaziken materialized where Gigalith had once stood.[break][break]

Because it was time for the finale; the explosion loud enough to serve as a signal for what dwelt beneath the surface.[break][break]

Gator, her shadow krookodile, would emerge from its dig with a force that sundered and split the concrete it had dug beneath; maw alight and drooling with a miasma of smoke; fire fang.[break][break]

And it would attempt to close its maw around one of the limbs of the Ultra Beast with a sharp snap.[break][break]

Gliscor would seek its chance, letting the same heat overflow from its own sharpened fangs; another fire fang.[break][break]

This Guzzlord was not like the others. Smaller, more compact, this Ultra Beast felt like an approachable threat as her pokemon flanked it on all sides; Bailey felt her chest clench at the sight, letting its cavity be filled with something vindictive and desperate.[break][break]

She wanted to win.[break][break]

The cacophony of the car crash rose her from her fixation; it reminded her that this was no time to fulfill her own power fantasy. “Lucas!”[break][break]

She throttled the break on her motorcycle, bringing it to a sharp stop by the emergency lane. Killing the engine, the Champion does not have the time to process her thoughts as she jumped from the Cycling Road; she would launch herself over the concrete barrier, letting her body drop like dead weight.[break][break]

Togekiss was there to snag her; unaffected by Katherine Fairburne's earthquake and healed from Cillian Quinn's use of life dew. Her marshmallow companion sunk her claws into the familiar grooves of Bailey's collarbone to keep her trainer from plummeting to the ground; then, with a shift, the fairy-type pokemon would gently glide the Champion down to the lower platform.[break][break]

She landed mere moments after the crash, able to see that the people inside were able to survive the fall.[break][break]

It also meant that she was one of the first to witness the unveiling of Jules Cotillard; her eyes widening in recognition as the fugitive was abruptly carried by the construct-like Ultra Beast. He was a hard face to forget, especially when he was wearing the same glasses that she had so crudely insulted on social media.[break][break]

As he departed, her head twisted to observe the direction was heading.[break][break]

The powerplant.[break][break]

“Fuck!” He had to be stopped; the sound of the Guzzlord's steamroller registering like white noise in the pitch of her visible confusion.[break][break]

She turned to the rest of her team. “Handle it!”[break][break]

That was her only command as she tapped Togekiss, signaling the fairy-type to execute extreme speed to pursue the fleeing scientist.[break][break]

Her pokemon mobilized.[break][break]

Mega Steelix, exerting itself beyond the limited duration of mega evolution, would attempt to force itself to remain in this state as it swung the impressive weight of its tail into the side of the spinning Guzzlord; executing iron tail with the hopes of interrupting the trajectory of its rapid spin.[break][break]

Aggron would do the same; unaffected by the earthquake due to magnet rise, it would collide the full size of its body into the Guzzlord, aiming to assist Steelix as it executed heavy slam like a football player would aim to tackle an opponent.[break][break]

Then, Kommo-o, who would be the third to strike with the intention of shoving the Guzzlord off its intended course; outrage.[break][break]

If they were able to shift the rolling Guzzlord, then the spray of gathering poison could be ignored; after all, Aggron had scars still stretching across his arms to prove that it could be done.[break][break]

Bailey was not able to witness this; the execution of extreme speed had torn her from the ground with its thunderous explosion. Sound, air, and her voice contorted by the rapid acceleration. It could not be fought. The Champion could only let herself be carried as she sped after Jules.[break][break]

Then, when close enough, the Togekiss would fly just low enough so that the stretch of ground they followed was within reach.[break][break]

“Where do you think you're going, four-eyes?”[break][break]

And the volatile would let her fingers trace against the ground as she was flown, letting something primal activate as the ground surged at her command; rows of spikes jutting from the ground, manifesting from her fingers, attempting to slam into the scientist's Ultra Beast.[break][break]

Then, stone tips turned red before they sundered from eruption.[break][break]

A younger Bailey Cooper would have told him to hit the road; but, she had grown, and the pitiful expression was enough for her to extend mercy.[break][break]

“Ugh, fine,” and she would pinch with her fingers to try and neatly split apart the burrito into two halves. “Asshole. The bottom is the best part,” because that was where all the juice was.[break][break]

She extended that portion to him, while she tried to keep her half from dripping onto her.[break][break]

In the distance, she could see a Luxio hungrily looking for a snack. When it looked at her with its tail raised, she could sense that it would be willing to fight for its own share.[break][break]

She deployed her Toxicroak. “Sprig, use poison jab.”[break][break]

And as the scuffle unfolded, she would take another bite before tossing an empty pokeball at the injured electric-type.[break][break]
