Hel snarled viciously as Jotun was swatted away, pinprick pupils locking on the Salamance that had broken the croc's fangs. "Hel. Ignore. Now. The floaty prey. Do it." The Grovyle, who seemed on the verge of pouncing, suddenly obeyed. Kaida's own "strategy" was becoming clear. Moves, attacks, how they attacked, how they moved. That was all trusted to her Pokemon. But positioning, targets, what to do? Her word might as well be law regarding those few decisions. She was their eyes and brain, the leader, their survival counted on it. [break][break]

Remembering this, Hel darted to the newcomer, claws extending with a buzz. Her attacks may not be too effective on this prey, but Kaida directed her here. That meant she'd do the most damage here! Her slashing X-scissors left an afterimage X, and she kept running afterwards, hoping to avoid any upcoming attacks. [break][break]

Meanwhile, Jotun was finding the air was a lot heavier than he remembered. When was it this hard to get up? Claws pushing at the ground, standing was suddenly a huge issue. Kaida knew why. He wasn't the likes of Kjoll, or even Ormr. The Sandstorm drained his water skin, and he was young, his endurance wouldn't hold up. Hel neither. Yet Kaida said nothing, giving him all the orders he needed. Persist. Even just a little longer. So he lashed out, running once more to bite his aching Ice Fang into the Salamance's flank. He could tell, this would likely be his final attack, he only hoped he'd get to bite one thing! [break][break]

Silk cried out as the explosion counter suddenly threw him away, rolling out on the ground as the Sandstorm heightened, spurred on by his Sand Spit. That hurt. That hurt! Having become good at avoiding damage, the waves of pain that ran up his scorched head and neck distressed the young serpent. He gazed back at Kaida, teardrop eyes suddenly bright and pleading. He had to do this, and show how much she could trust him! Like Ormr! They'd been together like family this whole time, and he was finally big enough to protect her himself! He couldn't lose to fire! A snarl broke the Sandaconda's near silence, who reared up as if to square up with the dragon. He charged, bringing his head down to combat the explosion, again, again, however many times it took! And in Kaida's pocket, an unknown power started to stir to the Sandaconda's heart.

Kaida felt the urge to snap back at the dragon man, but given her misgivings seemed to not be shared, she chose to keep her teeth unbared. Alec was the leader for now, and she possessed enough respect for the gym leader to not make a big deal out of their teammates. She could only hope the roar was mistaken for a wild Pokemon. [break] [break]

When the holowatches came out, she took a black one, eyes admiring the piece of technology. "Thank you. This could be very helpful." She commented, gratitude obvious regarding the tech. Most definitely, she could not purchase most powerful technology. Still, she hoped it wouldn't need to be used, getting separated in enemy territory had to be the worst case scenario. [break][break]

As the Joltik scurried within, Kaida chose to prepare Hel for their mission. Slipping Ormr off her neck, the Ekans clung to the Grovyle's shoulders, acting as her eyes with his truly impressive senses. Even something that couldn't be seen would be seen by the two reptiles, and they'd have a Glare and Leaf Blade ready for enemies. [break][break]

When the lights flickered and went out, she would allow Annie and the Luxray entrance, and then follow with Ormr and Hel, hoping the others would stay behind them.

How dangerous? Kaida wasn't sure, but it was nothing Kaida couldn't trust Hel to help finish. The incoming attacks only fueled the Grovyle's excitement, but Kaida deigned to reel it in. "Watch them." A rare defensive move appeared in her team, and it couldn't be more perfect. It didn't matter how fast the attacks came, not even an Extremespeed could match a Detect. Hel's eyes flicked with the all-seeing light, and spun away from the Extremespeed. The following Flamethrower, she ran towards, zipping under the Salamance with nary a burn. [break][break]

"Jotun, bring it down!" She pointed at the fire-breathing dragon, knowing he was drawn a quench those flames. Water crystallized on his fangs, turning water into an Ice Fang. As Hel raced away from her weakness, he ran towards a strength, aiming to bite the dragon from below and pull it down. [break][break]

Silk locked eyes with the new Pokemon arrival, sensed its heat, and immediately knew he could fight this particular dragon on even ground. So he dug. The ground was far tougher than the sand, but his ground-typing wouldn't let him surrender to something to Dig through! Coming up from where he thought the flame dragon was, he attempted to spit a great deal of the ground he dug through at the dragon as he burst into it.

An abundance of Pokemon swarmed about, especially the avian type. Even right now, Kaida spotted another Farfetch'd fluttering about, sword across its back. She didn't mind another Pokemon she didn't wish to catch, but she did wish that Hel didn't have to be so tempted. [break][break]

Before she could see the bird, Kaida whirled around and walked a different direction with no word. Hopefully they'd find her real desires soon.

Kaida was one that didn't miss much facts around her, and what might be mistaken as a simple unease in the air, she picked up on. Why was there a faint scent of blood in the air? Was her partner injured? That couldn't do. She did such stunts but...those were different. Jotun was too excited to notice, but Ormr quietly stared upwards, confirming her suspicions. "Yes...I am to help you...do not worry, are you ok?" She asked like an afterthought, giving enough room for the other woman to shut that topic of conversation down. Heavens knew she was never good at speaking with her friends, she really didn't feel like being told of "atmosphere" or "manners" today of all days. She was tired. [break][break]

Taking the lead appeared to be a strange concept for the woman, who rarely found herself asked to be a leader, but she nodded fiercely, "I don't mind, keep near me, and I'll take care of this. Ormr." Her calm Ekans unraveled into her arms and peered up at her, face in moving but she knew to interpret it as interest. "Please check the cracks for humans, bodies, or otherwise...if you get frightened by the rocks, come up here. Got it?" [break][break]

Ormr rattled his tail enthusiastically, rubbing the top of his head before he whirled around and slithered down a hole large enough for him. "He's very skilled." Kaida reassured her partner, smiling fondly, "He'll tell me if there's anything interesting down there." With that, she suddenly turned around and slumped against the rocks, sighing deeply. "Maybe I should just be carried everywhere, like you and your partner." Her complaint towards herself came out nearly unheeding of her brain, tumbling out in a river, "Tired so quickly these days..." [break][break]

Jotun waddled over to the great golem, wide-eyed at something even larger than he...and sat happily, letting out a strange hiss in its direction, the only way for the crocodillian to properly show his excitement. "Jotun likes your partner...I've never seen something like it." She looked up, knowing it would take a moment for Ormr to return, "Illeana? What your partner's name, I don't want to be leader, and not know who's working with me."

Kaida not very sure why she feels so tired in a time of relaxation, feeling more like she should be staring down at her feet than anything else. She only kept her head because she had to keep a firm grip on her egg, and because she couldn't make herself worry the Audino crowded around her...though she was completely certain that they saw right through her dull smile, slight circles under her eyes. [break][break]

Really, she was here for her Pokemon. They liked the grassy area, the sweet Pokemon that accompanied them everywhere, it was like a paradise. Even now, Ormr and Hema slithered together, hissing a Pokemon conversation to a nearby Audino. Munin still tried to stay as far away as she safely could, but Kaida didn't miss that the ground croc allowed the Audino near. Speaking of Audino, they were everywhere.. It brought a moment of humor to Kaida, a love for Audino was pretty evident, obviously. [break][break]

A long, long sigh escaped Kaida as she slumped slightly. Try as she might, she could only think of what to do more and to satisfy such an ambition, she leaned down to one of the Audino, "Sweet one? Can you check how the egg is doing? I'm worried." Worried about more than an egg, but at least this laid some of that jumpy energy at bay.

Snake eyes scanned the tunnels that Kaida found herself being carried through at a far faster pace than expected. Jotun, the water gator, had apparently decided her human legs were moving too slowly and wrapped an arm around her, carrying on at his breakneck pace. Ormr, the little Ekans kept an eye behind them for any threats, though most enemies would falter at their rear guard. The heavily scarred Krookodile, Munin as Kaida had tried calling her, meandered behind them, eyes dull as her head hung. Kaida only hoped some activity would raise the gator's spirits, or at the very least tolerate being near humans. [break][break]

Nonetheless, Jotun arrived with a roar, dramatically holding Kaida up like some kind of prize before comically setting her down gently. "Don't waste your energy, Jotun, you almost crushed Ormr when you grabbed me!" She scolded with a frown, moving to pat the Ekans sitting on her shoulders as Jotun huffed and crossed his arms. Munin was arriving, sticking far in the back and staring at something. A human and golem. [break][break]

"Ah!" Kaida's face betrayed surprise, she would have thought she would arrive first on her Pokemon, "I see you're here...anybody under? Ormr here can check the rocks for blood or flesh." A morbid thought, but a snake's sense of smell could definitely help. "...I'm Kaida." She remembered to introduce herself, "I'm your partner today."
