She flinched as the Salamance arrived, harshly grumbling under her breath, "I suppose stealth isn't a concern of yours." as she walked over to stand by Annie and Alec. She more or less ignored the last arrival, other than a nod towards him. She didn't have much to go on regarding who was joining them, so she would assume they were average...maybe less than average, it was easier to prepare for worse allies. [break][break]

Alec was reasonable enough, Kaida thought, though her lips twitched down as he specified they were not to hurt the labcoats. Fine, but she wasn't going to be happy about it. Surveillance would possibly be a problem, none of her Pokemon could quite vanish, though Hel was fast enough that it might not matter. Thankfully, Annie had a solution. [break][break]

"I like it." She announced immediately, stalking after Alec as she turned her head to talk to the others, "My Pokemon can operate in the dark and guide us...better to surprise our enemies." Her two cents were in and whether or not they were listened to, she continued on. Only, there was another point. "If you must have your big Pokemon, keep them in a Pokeball...we need skill, not power." She herself bought one big Krookodile, for only an emergency, and she wasn't sure what to think of one who didn't consider this.

Wandering the jungle-like environment yielded no more exciting results for a while longer. It couldn't have been too long a time, for Hel and Silk showed no signs of tiring, perhaps they were more inclined to enjoy the warmer environment? [break][break]

Whatever the reason, Kaida halted and took out one of the water bottles she lugged on her back. Hel circled a tree as she took a water break, licking her lips. Up above, a Farfetch'd glared and brandished its leak. It certainly looked ready to bash Hel, but Kaida had a feeling fighting it would lead to Hel eating it, so she whistled and called Hel over before she could act. "We're not eating them, if you need energy, use the sunlight." She commanded, leading them deeper into the zone.

Kaida scowled as the Salamance defended against Smack Down, having to find solace in the fact that following attempts of Protect got harder and harder. She had to, because Kjoll's battle was done. The attacks came terribly quick, smashing him down and away. Even before he hit the ground, Kaida was already returning the Onix. "He did a good job, we'll be hunting harder now!" [break][break]

She spoke firmly, with confidence, because she was certain that somebody else's battle was nearly through as well. In the rescuing Power Whip, Silk was flung upwards as well, no damage taken but still very perplexed as he suddenly found himself between a Dragonite and Goodra, "Silk! Destroy both! Jotun! Carefully bite up!" [break][break]

They didn't move in such stark synchronization, but there was the distinct feeling of knowing exactly what to do. Jotun in particular scrambled forward like a child, but his eyes locked on the Dragonite spoke of his understanding of what Kaida meant. In that moment, Silk spun like whip, letting out his first loud cry as a dark aura engulfed his body. In close range, Brutal Swing would hit everything around the user, even allies. Kaida heavily disliked the move when all were fighting, but with Kjoll's defeat, Silk was all alone in enemy territory. It was perfect. The moment the move ended, Jotun sprang. His leap almost looked like it was going to miss, only a quick jerk of the claws at the Dragonite's flank even told he launched an attack. Chip Away was the safe attack in times like this, another nuisance to add to the raging Sandstorm. [break][break]

A new ally entered the fray with a snarl, head low and claws up. "Be careful, Hel. This is a very dangerous hunt."

Jord backed up as the rabbit Pokemon springs forward, usually able to avoid a hard hit. However, the focus the Bunnelby developed lead to her unable to avoid the fangs, and she bellowed as Super Fang struck true. [break][break]

"Get rid of it, don't let up!" Kaida gave a less than obvious order, and Jord sprang up, attempting to crush the other Pokemon under the very leg it was biting. The pain seemed to cause her attack to increase in intensity and whether or not she succeeded, Jord was back on her feet in an instant for her next move. [break][break]

Don't let up, right. Courtesy would demand she stop, but when did Kaida follow such rules. Unaware that her opponent had similar sentiment, Kaida's Pokemon did what she wanted. In this case, leaping forward on powerful legs while swinging a Dizzy Punch. Close-range was the only time the heavy-set Pokemon could find opportunity to deal damage, so she took advantage of the opportunity.

Ormr hissed loudly as he was thrown off, snapping frantically before finding himself slammed into the ground, this time for the last time. At the same moment, Kjoll roared as a Leaf Storm swirled around him. That would have been the end of two battles but Kjoll was Sturdy, a little thing like being sliced up with leaves wasn't going to bring him down! [break][break]

The Salamance's appearance clearly shook the two, a shudder running through Kjoll and a hiss escaping the normally calm Silk. Speaking of Silk, he didn't much appreciate the sensation of hitting the invisible wall of Protect. Instead of retreating, he reared back and tried again, aiming to make the dragon as dizzy as he was! [break][break]

"Ormr! You did it! Kjoll, bring our prey down!" Kaida called out, hand reaching another Pokeball. Before she could release a second ally, Kjoll made his decision. Two flying Pokemon could harass the little ones too efficiently, and he didn't think he could hit the fast Dragonite. Thus, he took aim at the Salamance, jaws working to bring a pebble to his mouth. A pebble that would very much hurt as he spat the shockingly big "pebble", aiming for the dragon's back and wings. [break][break]

"Jotun! Snap them to pieces!" She bellowed, the Pokeball flash receding to reveal a wild-eyed Croconaw, who hopped in the air with delight. All sorts of things to bite on purpose!

Kaida was nowhere near the first to arrive for the mission, no, Hel decided that she was going to meet her pack beforehand and heaven or hell couldn't stop her. A Grovyle slipped from the forest, near invisible until it burst from the bushes, leaning forward until she was sniffing at the humans mere inches away. [break][break]

"They're good at fighting. I've worked with them before, Hel." Kaida's voice nonchalantly entered the scene as she stalked after her bestial hunter. "Alec. Annie." A turn of the lips revealed a small smile from the woman, and not only because Ormr clung loyally to her neck. Her hair was tied back tightly and she arrived in clothing that covered the entirety of her body, including a hood. Armor was nearly useless among Pokemon battles but she could at least try not to let the enemy know who they were facing. [break][break]

"Happy to see you again. I'll be happier when we get the Pokemon out." And Kaida was Kaida, the mystery of whether she was a robot would only continue among young Rangers for as long as she talked like that.

The Psyshock hit Ormr hard, sending him barreling back, barely lifting his head. With the Sandstorm taking the scales off his back and the chaos of battle, there was no way that Kaida could see Ormr having enough time to heal. His battle was nearly done. "Ormr! Hunt the fastest!" She called, "Kjoll! Switch with Ormr! Bite hard!" [break][break]

Kjoll didn't look at Kaida, thus having enough time to nearly drop to the side, avoiding the brutal Power Whip with help from the sandy attacks from Silk. His rock body spun clockwise, an energy rising in his mouth before he blasted a Dragon Breath at the plant dragon. With Ormr's help, his attack would hopefully strike true and final. [break][break]

Ormr rose in a coiled stance, the only one he could maintain, eyes locked on one target, the Dragonite. He didn't know many things that could evade a snake's Bite. Hopefully, he was correct. A single lunge, trying to latch his fangs onto the dragon's flank. [break][break]

Finding a surprising amount of attention not on him, Silk moved all on his own. He sprang up to the Goodra's neck, his neck suddenly unveiling to brutally smash his head into the Goodra's. A Headbutt to rattle the slimy dragon's brain, oh, how he much preferred the clean and dry!

Hel suddenly shrieked, coming back into view as she sprang backwards, avoiding a great mass of black darkness. Something big stompted forward, emotionless eyes scanning the opponents that had come into view. In particular, the hissing Grovyle. It was the priority. [break][break]

The golem started forward much faster and Kaida pointed at it, "Silk! Beat it!" She yelled as Hel leapt over a Mega Punch, leading Silk into throwing himself at the golem in a Brutal Swing. A crack rang out and the Golett flew back, slamming into a tree as its golden eyes flickered and crackled. Its body refused to get up, one arm uselessly flailing as Kaida flung one Safari Ball at it. Waste not, want not. She'd have to find someone trustworthy for such a powerful specimen. Sorry Golett, you were joining the fight today.

Something appeared at the beginning of the walkway, one hand in front of an audacious smile. Glima's cheeks blew out in little, yellow balloons, her sharp eyes scanning the crowd. She just barely qualified for the role of model, so she decided she was going to own this show! [break][break]

A high-pitched shrieking laugh erupted from the Croagunk as she leapt forward on powerful legs, bouncing almost like rubber. Flipping like an acrobat, she landed at the very end, scowling into a camera before it evolved into a smile. Whatever they were looking to see, she was certain it wasn't her! [break][break]

She left much more resigned, teeth spread in the Croagunk's traditional smirk as she meandered back off. [break][break]

Really. She wowed them, she knew it. [break]obreak]

The flashlights on Kjoll's neck broke painfully, a particularly tough rock smashing a crack across his snout...but he made it past the rocky obstacles. With a small, courteous rumble of thanks towards the helpful Exadrill, Kjoll started to continue on. [break][break]

For a moment, he nearly continued forward as the stone wall was formed. His remaining flashlights flickered at the lights coming beyond the wall, his magnetic brain felt like it was vibrating as a grating static filled the air. [break][break]

He felt dread. [break][break]

Kjoll stopped dead, eyes flickering around in a panic. Up! Down! Anywhere but here! In a tunnel, there was no up, but he could always go down! Roaring out, Kjoll swung his tail in a devastating Stone Edge. Thrashing his body against the floor, he hoped to carve out the ground in a great sweep, enough to hide all if he could. Feeling less and less time, Kjoll promptly plunged into and curled up in whatever hiding place he managed to create and closed his eyes. [break][break]

If anything, perhaps he could count on these little ones or his Study nature. [break][break]
