not just because it is holiday but it is a date with councilor FERNANDO SILPH which warrants selena to wear her best dress. as usual, she laces her mind with suspicion and adorns her body with caution. on the surface, she clads herself with red and black fit for the festivities with a newly-bought wooloo furcoat she gets as a gift from her sisters.[break][break]

“it is worth the wait.”[break][break]

her employees in the vantage have been also released from work early, some of which are going home in their regions for the holidays, but she favors staying to supervise the remaining restorations in the city. not to mention the fact it has been three years since she last visited their camphrier chateau. while she maintains contact with her siblings, her relationship to her father is still rocky since her decision to acquit from the winery ancestry. she figures it is better to be buried at work than to deal with it.[break][break]

when the man ignores the skittering electrike and follows the aggron, the pinkette takes it upon herself to deal with the hound. “get her, heqet!”[break][break]

the ivysaur lunges with his vines, whipping through the verdant body of the wild pokemon. weakened, selena reckons it is time to throw her spare capsule. afterwards, the ivysaur hurries back to her, its eyes glinting at the sight of, somehow, familiar pokemon on the other trainer's side.[break][break]

other than the rest of the new mauville visitors, selena did not decide to visit the old powerplant to collect gives for the holidays. it is, however, her first time again to visit the place after the war much to her surprise the place has been well-preserved and redesigned for the martyrs of war.[break][break]

the desmarais and the benoit of kalos go back a long way. being members of the richest families in the region, selena spent part of her childhood playing with the benoit siblings Thomas Benoit and Andrea Benoit. for a time, they have shared dreams and hopes together until they fell apart.[break][break]

only to see each other once more: in a different life, in a different time, in a different place.[break][break]

she can only guess because it was nearest to him and it seems he is able to command it, but she never really confronts him about the strange creature.[break][break]

by this time, selena can barely make out billi's words after, being drowned in the audience of curious bystanders. while she relies on billi to work on their little distraction, she works her way further into the camp. her electric aura sizzles in the air but the people has no cognizance of what's happening. they can only find themself briefly stunned as selena waves of the crowd.[break][break]

the pinkette sees the place still bearing the sight of the bloodshed that has occured. annie's fate is indeed grim.[break][break]

before them walks selena in her laced pastel red dress complemented by her crown-braided carnation hair.[break][break]

“he did nothing bad.” she chuckled for a moment, realizing how strangely familiar it was to be with the benoit siblings. life seemed simple back then. “and yeah, i'm still on that goal. but i don't think i'm getting any stories here any time sooner. rockets are kind of... sneaky in this region.”[break][break]

she nodded and brought her company in one of the town's diving spot. calliope surrounded her trainer with a pink-colored bubble, covering her head with a ball of air contained by her psychic powers.[break][break]

selena can only nod at alexei's inquiry, the feeling of intoxication too much for her to handle especially when she's moving. bad decision, she thinks. the pinkette laughs when alex snarls his protest about being a baby with his liquor of choice but she proceeds to listen intently with his unexpected confession.[break][break]

she takes her time to ponder on the images; profiles of an unknown beast is being matched with details in her cognizance. however, the tequila hinders her moment of quick clarity before she stops walking.[break][break]

“i think i might have read something before about a rare pokemon with descriptions matching that creature, but i'm not really sure. what about it?”[break][break]

selena is appalled by what the other guy is suggesting, but she takes her time to listen and to ponder on his own musing. after all, even she does not know a thing or two about the real questions that mattered in the littleroot incident.[break][break]

“they as in the masses.” she clarifies, shifting her gaze back into the sky to keep her nose from the direction of his smoke. she smiles at the mention of reading her article but it's not like he will be able to see it. “i've written our own version because it seems like hnn is twisting a few information about it.”[break][break]

her eyes finally catch her metagross in the air but it is still lingering in the sky, trying to complete its aerial survey for its trainer's benefit. she gives it more time.[break][break]

“no one knows how the tree sprouted since people became more concerned on how the league handled its presence. i have my own theories about it as well but i don't think it's caused by those aliens. if it is, it should have come after they successfully conquered hoenn—which as we know, of course, they failed.”[break][break]

a curious thing happened when selena's two pokemons start getting at each other's throat. as naganadel and delphox lunge they are stopped by an unown entity, descending from the sky with a phantasmal presence.[break][break]

“akhlys, wait!”[break][break]

however, the naganadel's attack didn't. venoshock is shooted from his mandible butthe creature handles it well with a red beam it produces from its eye.[break][break]

with much curiosity, the unknown pokemon takes interest with the dragon as well, allowing itself in the company of the pink-haired trainer.[break][break]

in its trainer's command, the claydol raises rock tomb through the path, breaking down unnecessary underwater rocks into crisp sand.[break][break]

she finally glances on Raziel Beckett , waiting for his pokemon to aid them with the water bubble.[break][break]

naganadel will not give in without fighting. it floats after being hit and retaliates. in their trainer's command, the purple dragon finally sends a wave of sludge into their opponents. only this time, a furfrou replaces the chimeco's position and delphox begins to summon light screen.[break][break]

toxic penetrates the barrier but with less impact, allowing the dragon to reposition themself in the next round of attacks.[break][break]
