It was good that among all his dragons, Genesis shared his interests with video games. Bad news was, it was too ginormous to be even playing one. Oftentimes, the dragon would find himself sitting by Valerio’s roof, its head peeking inside the window to watch his owner gleefully use a six-shooter to finish his game of MK.

”Nice!” He exclaimed, the joy of defeating an online enemy was more than satisfying. He would put his hand mid-air, waiting for a high that would probably be missed especially since the drampa’s arms were short.

Asher certainly knew how to flex. Not in an irritating, arrogant manner, which would, in most cases, tick off the rocket grunt. He was more naive, unknowing of the aura that he exudes as he saunters, almost adorable for his type.

“Will I get the chance to see one of those suites?” He casually joked, for he never knew if the man would take him seriously. Of course, it would be a hitstun if Asher agreed to his proposition.

“Maybe I should take a closer look.” Valerio took the chances with the hole, after all, his facade fared well with Asher who was more focused on keeping the conversation. His fingers trailed at a substance which was covered with dust, which wipe from his forefinger revealed something crimson. Somehow, he hoped the guy had not took notice of it. “So what beings you here in Hoenn? I hope the region’s weird climate isn’t doing you any harm.”

 The man from behind the counter was busy juggling his squeezer bottles—a demonstration of his live cooking skills amidst the growing number of people by his food stall. As a one man team, he needed to be fast in putting more batter to his takoyaki or else the veggies will be burnt. And if distractions would keep from letting the man do his job, Valerio would not have his desired takoyaki.

“Oh, no, no, no!” The man exclaimed, hid attention caught by the wimpod approaching his chest of vegetables. “I got this!” Valerio volunteered, as he brought his dragapult towards where it was sneaking.

The THUNDER WAVE was enough to immobilize it. Valerio then threw a pokéball to finally incapacitate his prey.

 “Who says I’m actually leaving you?” Valerio teased, wink flashed towards his company. “Besides, I have nowhere else to go even if I find one. Rocket is already my family, you know?”

A xatu shared the wandering cincinno’s aggression, but it was only for a moment before the dragapult imposed its ferocious presence into the wild creatures. Likewise, Gavin also shared his sympathy for the grunt’s concern, even more serious than what he expected from the underboss.

“I’m pretty much a wanted criminal myself, relishing behind the veil of this region’s ignorance.” The humor was an attempt to vibe up the sullen mood. “The Johto invasion already did a number on me. I say these potential new adjustments are not totally new. How about you?”

 From the far end of the alley, a vigoroth stood looking at the flair of the rocket pair with their spectacular display of tricks. Completely in awe and marvel, the monkey clapped as Valerio and his drampa went on, the man offering the wild one with a fist bump as he returned to the crowd in sesrch of food.

 “I gotta hand it out to you.” Simón flashed another smile disguised from what would be an obvious amount of anxiety and unsteadiness. “You’re good at guessing.”

For Asher, Simón could just be another gorgeous bystander earning an honest money. The alias would have been forgotten in a day of two, and if he was lucky to be a confidant for the next few hours, perhaps even a week. The connection was hard to miss, and it was something that Valerio, or now as Simón, would relish for the minutes to come.

“I was raised in a Galarian household, yes. But I’m afraid my ancestry’s not purely from the said region.” There was no need to lie entirely. All he needed was to change a few details here and there, enough to cross-up Asher with a few trivial information.

“How about you? Kalosian? Galarian?” He began to survey the grounds that were now much visible due to the drampa’s fire-type move. The entire area was almost filled with excavation markers, ready to be dug, but one was particularly different from others, being already worked up and investigated.

“Are you aware of that hole? It seems like someone has already upped as on it.” The rocket humored but it was dry, almost coming off as a hiss, despite the efforts to keep calm and be in-character.

 “With a voice so fine as that, you don’t need to say sorry.” Simón eyed the gentleman as well, his lips curving to a smile as he watched the guy straighten up. Its companion, a beheeyem dancing to the rhythm of his trainer’s song.

The rocket in disguise took the hand as he watched with great caution after introducing himself as the project sponsor. At the back of his mind, Simón was lucky he could recall bits of information about the project.

“Simón. Last minute addition, I guess?” The purple-haired lad rubbed the blue mane of his drampa as he continued. “Said they needed a muscle against thieves, so, here we are.”

The thickness of the fog was once again clumping atop the mountain’s summit. He signaled his drampa to use SUNNY DAY. Vapors sizzled with the intense heat, turning the surrounding moist and humid. The blazer that hugged the built of Simòn was now removed for the man to cool down.

“I guess I’m lucky you’re very hands-on in this project.” The voice was playful, seductive even, but he managed to play it naturally. If his charms would let him out of this prickly situation and do what he needed to do, then he had to use the tricks up his sleeves.

The bunnelby which has been following them for food proved to be a nuisance. With a nod to his partner, Valerio was assured the dragapult got the hint. ”Hit it hard.”

Darty and Valerio are masters of combo moves. They had been doing this ever since he was just a dreepy. As they made a sharp turn into a dark corner where the bunny continued following them, the dragon swoop towards the sky as the wild pokémon wondered where the man’s companion went.

As usual, he began with the classic THUNDER WAVE introduction. The beam was successful in paralyzing the normal-type, before dragapult used a duo of DRAGON DARTS and DRAGON PULSE, knocking out the poor bunnelby in an instant.

“I say the bunny finally learned its lesson.” The rocket guffawed.



DARTY (DRAGAPULT) uses THUNDER WAVE-DRAGON DARTS-DRAGON PULSE combo.

so basically, these two have been kicking it since their B&B days and their joint missions in the creation and development of the underwater rocket headquarters. it is very obvious how valerio crushes on his underboss but he recognizes the fact that romance may not be possible, if not difficult, for both of them. regardless, he keeps the rapport that is initially present and strives to deepen their budding friendship. the dracozolt valerio recently acquired may be another plot point for valerio and given since the former has taken new interest in searching for fossilized dragons. in the long run, valerio could be a very dependable colleague and friend for gavin, with his years of experience and the age gap that is not too distant unlike the other newer rocket members.[break][break]

Darty, who was more aggressive than usual, began outraging throughout Valerio’s room with DRAGON DARTS which the rocket had a hard time controlling.

“Hey, hey, hey! Watch out for that—” Another dart hit the LED lamp. “Darty, what’s the problem? Why are you so upset?”

He would have released Genesis or Naua if the dragon continued to rampage. The first two were companions the dragapult had so much respect for. The drampa and the kingdra could easily cancel his dragon tricks. Luckily, Darty finally listened to his trainer.

There was a splinter on its feet.

The man with the lavish lavander hair, the body of a Jin Kazama, and a humor of an eighteen-year-old lad sauntered through the grassy terrain of Route 101. He rarely frequented the place. It was too far from Slateport and there was no sense entertainment from nearby towns.

But Littleroot has a special place in Valerio’s heart. Or rather, Vanessa. However, blazikens and torchics grazed the praeries of Oldale suburbs which were undeniable adorable for the rocket’s taste.

As he picked his leftover chips from his satchel, he crumbled the food to attract the fire-type flock.
