Having paid, along with several other travelers, for a trip to the Seafloor Cavern via a transport submarine vessel Rufio would find himself wandering away from the group's immediate arrival point sooner rather than later.

In this he would summon forth his Doublade, Zweihander for protection if need be for he was after Wild Pokemon of course. Hands resting in his hoodie pockets the ginger would pay no mind to his surroundings unless it involved Pokemon, leading to him wandering into the likes of Sénon Game and their....turtle gang?

Soon enough an older, but large and muscular man in a military suit would step up, speaking loudly for all to hear clearly.

Tasking people with picking either the concrete area or the nearby sea-side area [which has been marked off by a large rectangle of white and green bouys] while having their Dragon-Types fly around avoiding anti-aerial attacks from the ground. This was where the "Special Guest Trainers" came into play, their Pokemon either being on the ground or in the sea firing mid-to-long range attacks at the League member's Pokemon.

Stepping up Rufio would be the first to cast out his Water-Type Pokemon, Triton the Horsea taking position close to the beach for a good perspective of the situation. Despite this the ginger reminded Trition that his use was based on his performance.

Triton take down some Dragon-Types or you'll be headed back to Meteor Falls!

Rolling his eyes before recalling his own Pokemon Rufio would then watch on as the girl proceeded to summon forth a Magnezone whom would begin to...do whatever it was doing. In the meantime Rufio would offer his name, not that he was interested in making friends really.

Names' Rufio by the way.

Think the fire might've been a distraction? Or was there no purpose? Maybe some hooligan who is jealous they can't afford a Safari Zone ticket, ehh?

Once they hit the beach they managed to scramble well enough and fend for themselves thanks to the guidance afforded by Moore the Mudkip's Foresight. However as they neared the heat of the real battle nearby Zweihander the Doublade would swiftly flying into action quite literally. Having used Aerial Ace to escape the sea with Rufio in tow, it now used the moved to attack the nearby Pheromosa though the latter would soon enough swat away the ghastly steely Pokemon.

Gritting hit teeth and being swift to catch Zweihander by her hilts the ginger would proceed to twirl her about before checking her once over rather than asking if she was alright. She had sustained some damage, but she was alright. It would be around this time that the area would once more pulsate with dark energy that seemed to physically bog down the group, though the teen would grit his teeth and bare it.

The giant space-energy-hole thing in sky was nearby filling Rufio with the urge to jump into it to attack from wherever the portal lead to, but he also was left with the desire to combat the Pheromosa. The scent of something sweet would almost distract him and yet it was defied just as soon as the mere thought of such had appeared.

A decision had to be made....

Lockjaw, head closer to that portal and wait for me, scout the area and guard it for me, I wanna' hop a ride to the other side so don't let anyone close it!

Cracking a grin then while twirling his sword Pokemon Rufio would take aim at the Pheromosa in the distance, he felt confident even while being ignorant of the slight advantage he had due to the unknown typing differences between Doublade and Pheromosa, being Ghost-Steel type vs Bug-Fighting type.

Zweihander, Aerial Ace!

Moore....

Before they took off Rufio would then proceed to lean down to speak to Moore the Mudkip before then returning to face their target in the distance. Leaping into the fray once more the pair of Rufio and Zweihander the Doublade would seek out the Pheromosa, blitzing through the air and darting about in another beautiful estranged display. Blades would flash as they swung about, sharp edges aiming to slash at the Pheromosa that was now nearby while Rufio held on all the while.

However Moore would appear during this clash of blades, having clung to Rufio's back and was now perched on the latter's left shoulder. Having been ordered to use PROTECT which would gleam in a condensed frame, protecting only Zweihander and Rufio while still allowing the two to attack Pheromosa.

Meanwhile Lockjaw the Croconaw had taken off into the woods, following anyone else whom might've taken the same path. Eventually getting to their destination the reptile would snap it's jaws at the air as it eyed the aliens and the machine near them that was seemingly fueling the portal in the air.

Sprinting into action Lockjaw would enter a RAGE while seeking to attack the nearby aliens.

Blades would clash again, Zweihander's steely resolve coming from it's Steel-Type nature if only, the sentient swords otherwise providing no visual evidence of pain though they had taken some damage over the course of the battle nonetheless.

Obliging their Trainer the Doublade would begin to gracefully dance about in place, the pair of swords essentially being dancing partners. Completing their endeavor Zweihander would then cross back into an "X" and awaited their opponent's next turn.

One way or another Rufio and Morph the Morpeko had found themselves on some adventure volunteer teem, currently exploring some dark place they felt ominous and eerie. Despite the latter not striking fear in Rufio, the fact that he couldn't see drove him crazy as he didn't want to get lost or look stupid by walking into a wall or tripping onto his face.

Morph, try to give us a little light...don't zap me...

Groaning the ginger would watch then as his Morpeko begin to on and off emit sparks in an attempt to preform a slow low strobe light effect, but how useful could that be?

Creating a trench along with soaking trees while knocking them down into the fire the pair would continue jogging along until they finally met the girl again, apparently she wasn't just some annoying girl...She proved useful indeed though Rufio wasn't sure about acknowledging the fact.

Still though....

Uh...hi....The fire should just choke itself out now...But, I don't know of any wild Fire-Types in the area, I know the Safari Zone sometimes brings them in, but that's inside the place, not out here.....Maybe one got away? I mean it's possible, but....Maybe somebody, not a Pokemon, started it?

Scratching the side of his head Rufio would keep the girl's gaze while Lockjaw the Croconaw chomp the air lightly/slowly as it eyed the girl's fish-like Pokemon as if it were a soon-to-be snack.

Oh the irony, literally...You'll see true balance in Zweihander, heee, hee!

Both Zweihander and Rufio would watch on as the Scyther began to glow and it's arm-blades moved in a simple, yet beautiful way.

With that order the Doublade would begin to "Dance" in place, however this was merely a feint, it was not using Swords Dance. Instead the blades would begin to part a bit with one slowly drifting upwards into the air...until it would then soar upward in an arcing motion before twirling about to descend in spiraling fashion as it attempted to deliver an AERIAL ACE at Scyther in hopes of taking advantage of it's momentary pause along with the fact that Zweihander itself was using underhanded tactics.

It was all Rufio could muster at the notification of another in the area, a girl and her Pokemon. Making it visually clear that he was taken back more so by the girl's arrival than the forest fire the ginger would nonetheless, and swiftly, turn to a visage of an uncaring brat.

Of course I'm okay, don't you see me and Lockjaw doing just fine here?

Sighing before sliding a hand through his hair Rufio would then return his gaze to the raging fire at hand that continued to flail about as they pair attempted to corral it.

Lockjaw let's get around it and try to trap it, choke it, and snuff it out.

And with that the duo would begin to jog West and turn a corner, all the while the Croconaw would continue to spew out a Hydro Pump along the way.

Though he didn't want the girls help perhaps she could prove useful and follow his lead and handle the other direction and they could meet in the middle.

Having been wandering around the forest that surrounded the Safari Zone, but was not "IN" the Safari Zone Rufio would find himself just travelling from one place to another. Each new city offered him a new opportunity to improve his Pokemon team and their respective strength.

However this day it would seem the ginger wasn't to be blessed with an easy adventure as it would seem a blazing forest fire had started seemingly out of nowhere. Taken back as the fire seemed to appear instantly and nearby himself Rufio would leap backward before instinctively calling out his strongest Water-Type, Croconaw.

Lockjaw use Hydro Pump, make a trench quick!

Snapping it's jaws Lockjaw would then fire off a mighty Hydro Pump, tracing a line back and forth ahead of them to at least block off a portion of the fire if only momentarily.

Continuing to chuckle to himself as his opponent gave their Scyther charge to use Agility, Rufio would proceed to crane his neck from side to side before resting it at an awkward angle to the left while giving his own orders then.

Zweinhander, use Iron Defense!

Twirling about in place before crossing into a "T" form the pair of sentient weapons would begin to shine and gleam a bright white before taking on a steely gray sheen that would soon fade as well. Looking normal as ever afterward the Doublade would nonetheless prepare itself for the next onslaught with an improved defense.

The League was requesting Trainers to aide in training their stock of Dragon-Type Pokemon and with being such an up and coming hopeful Rufio found himself obliging the organization.

Staying over night at a fancy hotel Rufio would nonetheless be out of bed on time, find himself at the training area just before seven in the morning. With The League's designated area being somewhat away from the city, but still within it's outskirts, it was also nestled near the water's edge as dragons were known to be deployed on not only the ground and air, but in the sea as well.

This would very much sit well with the red haired Rufio due to the fact that he was also seeking to train his own Pokemon, a future dragon itself, his Horsea that he had named TRITON. Having captured the latter during his first venture into Meteor Falls the ginger now sought to test the small Water-Type's mettle against the Dragon-Types.

With The League folk already around the area and beginning to line up for training Rufio would also notice other Trainers whom weren't "Rangers" or the like, meaning he wasn't the only one being employed that day to train The League's Dragon-Types.

Oh well...

Standing there with his hands in his jacket's front pockets Rufio would await further instructions while his right hand twirled around Triton's Poke Ball.
