Things were not the best with his trainer. The infernape knew this, though this was the first time the Ranger has asked him of anything. Infernape wondered if this was just a ploy to get the fire pokemon to leave. Things he's so far avoid doing as he still felt there was a debt to be repaid. To his surprise it was real, and the flame pokemon was wondering if it was all part of the new year joy or what not.

Though as he has arrived and learned exactly what the job was, the Infernape feels like this was a bit of both. Trust that his trainer was willing to send him off for work rather than leaving him alone, but at the same time spiting him as they were signed up for a dance. While he was nimble, he was old in age. Dancing was a young pokemon's game not his, however if the Ranger wanted to spite him he would spite right back. His debt would be paid whether the human liked it or not.

While he was not as smooth with the directed dance as more of the younger pokemon who he shared the stage with, Infernape was skilled. With a slap of the ground he was able to execute his FIRE PLEDGE as if it were a literal wave awing the crowd. He may be old, but he'll keep up to do a good job, and annoy the Ranger in the process.

The dance of his fellow pokemon were mighty impressive, hell in fact they were down right dazzling! But Dayman was not to be outdone! After all, out of all volcarona he was in the top percentile! This was an unquestionable fact, he read it in a book! Well, he can't read but he was pretty sure that was what the text said. 

To fit in with the mass of churning flames, Dayman would erupt with his own FIREY DANCE! He spun through the sky, like a magnificent flaming ninja star. All the while he let out a buzzing tune, that if the humans could understand would illustrate all of his fantastic deeds (of which there were many--in his head). 

Unfortunately, he couldn't make his performance all about himself. He decided to end his display with a bang, using the flames surrounding his body to create a bizarre shape. Once he was finished, the shape could clearly be seen as some sort of dragon's maw, from which Dayman burst from to fly off into the distance. Surely his work here was done!

No need to thank him, the glory of his victory was reward enough.

As a Larvesta, she could have been charitably described as shy, timid. As a Volcarona, she was simply modest and reserved.

Doug was pushing her buttons with this request. He truly seemed to believe the few people who would watch this would come happier from it if they saw her.

Given that heartfelt belief which she truly did not share, she could hardly refuse.

Surrounded by so many members of her species, each of whom stood out from the average, she truly did not see how the youth expected her to even be noticed.

She didn't mind it much, though. The limelight was for those desired it, and she had never much cared for it.

She simply focused on doing as she always did.

Her fur ignited into flames of blinding white as she rose high over the battlefield (scenario), peering down upon the mass of men, women and children who had gathered to witness the spectacle with naked contempt.

They looked like vermin and cannon fodder.

Wearing a coat of fire as white as her fur, she danced as she would were she to act upon her impulse, her movement graceful but full of violence, swaths of white hot flames washing over the masses like waves, just barely far enough to miss them.

What a waste of energy, was all she could think as she spun one last time, wings wrapped around her form as the white fire fully involved her.

And then nothing. They simply extinguished as she sank and fell in line with her peers.
