+ "woah! do you see all those puppies?" leo grinned as he and peanut wandered upon the scene. he had just been doing his normal rounds between littleroot and oldale, doing errands for the locals in the area, when he spotted all the swarm.

[break][break] the college boy was quick to jump off of his zebstrika, and wanted to dash directly into the pokemon swarm, when there was an arm on his shoulder. he looked up to see officer jenny giving him a warning look. wild pokemon were dangerous, no matter how cute they looked.

[break][break] he gave her a pout. "aw, c'mon," he whined. "just for a little?"

[break][break] the officer looked at him, and then seeming to realize that he was probably going to do whatever he wanted, "fine, but if it gets hairy, i'm going to - " leo was already off and running. "your mother won't like this!"

[break][break] but it was too late. leo had already plopped down a few feet from the massive gathering, and the baby growlithe had spotted him. recognizing a friendly face, it was only a matter of time before three or four growlithe spotted him and promptly tackled him to the ground, which only made leo laugh as their fur tickled his face and they bombarded him with licks.

[break][break] the motion made him fall back, and a pokeball dislodge from his belt, potentially accidentally hitting one of the fire types in the process.

She is positively knee-deep in dozens of Growlithes. The Arcanine of the group are far more aloof, preferring to keep their distance because of their more wild natures. The puppies, however, are not shy at all. In fact they seek out attention hungrily, licking faces and bouncing around people's feet.[break][break]

"Hey now, no teeth! Be gentle, guys!"[break][break]

Stormy glances up, and she is not at all surprised to see that there are several rangers in the area looking to acquire one of these beautiful puppies. They would make excellent companions in the line of duty, for officers, too.[break][break]

...This is the first swam she seen since she came back to Hoenn. And it was an Arcanine swarm! How odd was this. Aren't the Growlithe line used in law enforcement? Like by the Officer Jennies who were known to be around then place? It makes sense in a way. They were trainable and reliable. She knew she might not get one, but she might as well try getting one. Who knows? Maybe newbie luck will roll around for her? Taking a deep breath, she took out a Pokeball and tosed it at the nearest one nearby.

MUSIC

    Zac was on his way back from the gardens when the route around his burst into action. Swarming orange and cream coats darted through the underbrush, and booming barks that set off like firecrackers.
    "A Growlithe swarm?" Zac said excitedly, pulling out his camera and pushing through the dense bushes. Devin had warned him that there had been plenty of swarms happing across Hoenn as the fire Pokemon got restless from the harsh Winter.  "Girls love swarms of things! This'll be a crowd-pleaser for sure!"
    Zac grinned with excitement at the prospect of catching one of the little ball of fluff, on camera or for real.
