New to his training and a bit of a laze-about the female Charmander shook off her stagnation as she beat on tummy with force before covering herself in an absolute flame.

Chasing down the Lucario in a protective suit she smashed in it without reservation, effectively knocking herself out in the process and smashing the bigger and much more experienced fighting-type into the padded walls.

From behind protective plastic walls the scientists and designers of the suits took their notes hungry to make their changes to their design but not before giving a round of applause for the little charmander that pushed herself to the brink for the sake of the R&D of their product.

Here he was: a graduate of Hammerlocke University, a prince, an ambassador... reduced to little more than a test dummy. He'd hired some professionals to run some tests of his own prior, of course. But still.[break][break]

Finding himself in the strange suit they had given him to test, Remiel somewhat reluctantly mounted his Braviary before taking flight. Thorondor was just as confused by the situation, but he would carry out the duty his master had summoned him for nonetheless. Their target? A brick wall, suspended in the air by means of a crane.[break][break]

Kicking his heel, the young royal spurred his Braviary into performing a bit of flair prior to their collision-- a means of amping them up for the challenge ahead. Quite frankly, the aerial maneuvers they performed were quite reminiscent of those Alexei Ivanov had issued in their gym battle. Dips and dives, twists and sharp ascents. Then, with great passion, a rapid charge towards the brick wall ahead.[break][break]

"BRAVE BIRD!"

The Braviary's form was surrounded by a fiery blue glow. Then, with a loud crash in the air, it made contact. The collision immediately spread a cloud of brick dust in all directions, shielding them from anyone's view. But, before the long, the pair emerged from said cloud. Relatively unharmed, thankfully. It appeared the stunt suit had done its job.[break]

a person stands on the far end of the field donning the company's protective suit for the purpose of testing it out for stunts. it's more compact that other products of the same intention, though one could tell it's probably heavier as well.

before him, situated on another side of the field, was the poochyena. it stares down the tester with fervor on its eyes. it's hungry for blood, raring to go at it as soon as it gets a command to do so. not being able to attack willy-nilly at home made this the break he wanted and deserved.

being paid to do so was just a bonus.

as soon as a whistle sound, the stunt person starts to anchor himself to the ground, ready to face the rushing poochyena head on. he steadies himself as he takes on the brunt of the poochyena's take down move.

he didn't die at least.

One after another—it was like Lars was desperate for something.

Of course, he didn’t want to admit he was looking to save up money for whatever would happen in the near future just in case something happened and he didn’t have enough on-hand money to get his ass through it.

So off went his Braviary, for some weird-ass… testing… thing that involved hurtling Pokémon and suits of some… kind.

Well, the important thing here was that the suits to be tested had to stand up to recoil damage—which was something the Braviary excelled at, knowing Brave Bird.

Seeing that the target was trussed up and ready, the avian let out a squawk, before charging in low and tucking its wings in to maximize aerodynamic flight as it came in with a resoundingly powerful CRASH as the Brave Bird connected.

It was all for the money…

That’s the only real caveat Fernando has for contracting his Pokemon out to anyone willing to pay the right price. Putting them up for manual labor builds character he claim. The truth is, pushing them to work for someone less luxurious than him for much less of a reward tends to make them more likely to obey his orders. The fact that it’s also a small cut to his training and personal care expenses doesn’t hurt either.

His Pyroar growls right before lunging to TAKE DOWN the suited stunt man.

The sooner it finishes the sooner it can return home for a lavish meal of fresh meat from live prey.

As soon as Mimikyu makes its arrival, something shifts and the air grows tense. The ghost-type seemed to carry an eerie aura with it, arriving from Mauville without an ounce of consideration paid towards those who may have felt uneasy at his presence.

It was here to do a job.

No, correction, it was here to do a painful job without ever once flinching or wincing, maintaining a neutral expression. Its beady eyes stared forward vacantly as it slowly fit itself inside the protective suit, and at the mark of one of the examiners, Mimikyu began to WOOD HAMMER repeatedly.

The first strike wasn’t felt.

The second barely left a scratch on the suit.

But eventually, the tenth managed to cut through the fabric, showcasing the potential fault in the product. ..And yet, even then, Katherine Fairburne’s Mimikyu pressed onwards. It struck again and again, despite the pleads of the examiner that stood by it, until the pokemon itself could not muster enough strength to carry out another WOOD HAMMER.

The glow in its tail faded, but the deafening silence remained.

Boom!

The sound of a heavy impact echoed across the testing chamber as Blackheart slammed into its armored partner once again. His Take Down was brutal and reckless, the force of it throwing the armor tester into the chamber's walls. He slid to the ground as he examined himself, groaning when he realized that the armor had broken. The suit would need to be readjusted to get it right, and they wouldn't stop testing until aerodactyl's strikes stopped breaking it.

Blackheart roared with triumph, gliding around the room as he taunted his target as he limped away. This had been the fourth suit he had managed to pierce, all thanks to relentless attacking. Normally a pokemon would feel worn down by using Take Down so much, but Blackheart seemed as vigorous as ever. The beast's Rock Head ensured that he could do this all day without the risk of harming himself.

And he was eager to continue, there was nothing quite like getting paid to beat the shit out of a human. His own private goal was to make the human piss himself at least once before the testing was over. Speaking of, the doors to the chamber opened and the human tester gingerly walked through. Blackheart let out a guttural chuckle as he once again launched himself at the poor fool.

Picture wasn’t too excited to be here, they were nothing but pouty cheeks the whole time. Seemed like it wanted nothing more than to give whoever was in charge a hard time since they’ve arrived at first not really cooperating when they were given the suit. It was only through struggle and shocks that they finally got the Pichu in it. Though it seems like they had another uphill battle when they were trying to get them to use his Volt Tackle in order to test the special suit. [break][break]

It seemed it took a video call to the trainer to get the little rat to cooperate as as soon as Razz was showing up on the screen the Pichu seemed to be the perfect angel smiling as if they’ve done nothing wrong. The ranger seeming confused on the so called ‘misbehavior’ of the mouse as they were so sweet. Though all it seemed to do was baffle the workers more as the Ranger asked the Pichu to finally use it’s Volt Tackle to which it executed flawlessly. And while the suit did seem to work alright they didn’t seem to account for the fact that Pichu couldn’t handle its own electricity well. Though the excitement the mouse had to see the small smile on their trainer’s face was enough. Razz asked if they would be okay on their own to try a few more times again to which the Pichu looked just fine with. A small relief for the workers until the call with the ranger ended. Then it was back to being the little shit it really was causing problems rather than being helpful. Though at least they managed to get the Pichu to do it at least two additional times before calling it quits for them. Calling it a failure for now as they couldn’t measure the damage protected off the damage it caused itself from its electricity.
