FORTREE CITY is known for its vibrant life among the trees. However, recent sightings of a mysterious monkey-like Pokemon alongside exorbitant plant growth have raised interest among Rocket's higher-ups. Head to Fortree and retrieve intel for the organization to use.

REPORT B

High above the ground, Fortree's SECRET BASE GUILD may possess information about INFINITY ENERGY, for the SECRET BASE EXPERT who runs the guild, is a master of the move, NATURE POWER. Ransack the guild— and see what you can find. Unfortunately, there will be nothing of worth to discover, but who knows what kinds of rivalries may grow from this conflict?[break][break]

OBJECTIVES
Threaten/silence/use/murder at least 1 Secret Base Guild worker(s).
Use camouflaged Kecleon (do not need to be owned) in creative ways for combat.
Use Secret Base Decorations in creative ways for combat.
Rescue 1 civilian (player or npc) that gets caught in the crossfire.
Engage in physical combat with another trainer.
🌳 Alexei Ivanov must use at least 1 Tornadus feather creatively in combat.
🌳 MATIAS SILPH must reference/recollect his experiences from the Rocket takeover of Kanto.
🌳 Serena Malcolm will discover that the several staff at the Secret Base Guild are "serenators" who possess merchandise. Feel free to reference her own merchandise in some way.
🌳 Miles Sharp must target MATIAS SILPH directly at one point (whether Miles knows Matias is affiliated with Silph is up to you two!).
Use HONEY to attract Bug-Type Pokemon to help with escape or combat.
Have 1 trainer pilfer a GARCHOMPITE, which they can put in their PC's inventory.
Escape the Secret Base Guild by smashing through the wooden walls/windows.
End the thread on the 5th page with everyone retreating.

The orange glow from the setting sun couldn't have been a more poetic signal for the beginning of his workday. The guild was in its final hour or two of the day guests were still in the facility, but the guild was certainly winding down for the day. Miles and a small team of grunts had been in charge of slathering trees around the facility with honey. They'd been at it for an hour and a half or so and the surrounding woods once almost silent an hour ago was buzzing fiercely with activity. All that was left was to light a fuse, if the pokemon panicked it'd be a frenzy, as was the plan.

The facility like much of the town was built in a particularly hefty tree even for the city built in the treetops. Even under the pretenses Sharp still found Fortree stunning, especially beneath the setting sun. The guild was three floors. Miles remembered the layout from a conference he'd been invited to here a little over a year ago. Most of its guarded secrets waited on the third floor with the majority of the researchers and other personnel. The first and second floors were open to the public. The first served as a shop to buy the latest and greatest items for one's base. Furniture, electronics, and whatever else was generally shoved in bases. While the second served as a museum of sorts explaining how secret bases in the region developed alongside an assortment of other trivia concerning bases. The entirety of the treetop facility wasn't quite as expansive as say, the oceanic museum in Slateport, but it was definitely a curious place and one that held a bit of interest for his current organization. It's why there'd be a bit of a show today.

"This is Sharp, the net is set. All that's left is to do the job. All teams ready?" His voice comes through as clear as it can on the earpiece.

Serena's Outfit

[attr="class","hearmenand22"]Serena pulled her black hair back into a ponytail as she waited for a signal from the rest of her team. Mission days were always filled with excitement and underlying anxiety. Mostly because she was always in her head about one thing or the other so she would end up stressing out despite performing well. She was still working on that little bit though.

Pulling her black face mask up to her nose her golden orbs scanned around her. She was higher up, currently on the second level with plans to make her way up to the third to reach their mission destination. She needed a few more people to clear out first before she could begin infiltrating the base. It was a intel gathering mission. Fuck around and dig up some juice secrets for rocket. Get in, get out, easy as apple pie.

Serena always expected something to go wrong though. Nothing could ever be perfect, much to her dismay. With a soft sigh she began to get to work. The evening sky began to melt into the beautiful hours of twilight, allowing the rocket associate to use the shadows to her advantage this time around. She was quick and relatively silent as she continued to scale her way up towards her desired destination.

"This is Sharp, the net is set. All that's left is to do the job. All teams ready?" Sharp's voice rang clear through her Bluetooth earpiece. Tapping the side of the device she whispered as she observed from her hidden perch. "Roger that. Serena here on standby." she confirmed that she was in position of her starting place. As soon as things were in motion she'd be able to make a dash into the facilities. A small grin played on her lips. Exciting and anxiety educing.

it's here that matias spends most of his time. he peruses, strolling around the museum in an attempt to learn more about secret bases.

Secret Bases.

While the allure of owning one was there, fact of the matter is that, well—

Maintenance and upkeep were crazy expensive! So even if he wanted to have one for himself, another home somewhere away from the noise and racket of the Sanctuary, he chose not to.

Who knew what could happen in those bases when left untended for extensive period of time?

Alexei was there, jacket hood up and shades perched on his nose; the better to hide his face from whoever might recognize him. The first floor was way too crowded, so he decided to go up to the second floor—mercifully it was much less crowded there than it was downstairs.

Upon arrival, he decided to peruse one of the exhibits, talking about a kind of energy that was seemingly pulled from nature directly that had something to do with finding ideal locations for Secret Bases.

Could they really still be called secret bases when, strictly speaking, they were neither secret anymore, nor bases? That was the kind of grandiose, world-changing thought that Violet was thinking while inspecting the statue of a Kekleon. Well, she assumed it was a statue. Maybe it was a real one that was just pretending to be still, caught in the middle of a room where it couldn’t really hide from all directions. Hah. That would be some next level meta strategy, wouldn’t it?

And she could test it, too. There wasn’t any kind of glass or tape around it. Technically, it was up for the poking. But she had learned the hard way, quite a while ago, that just because something was not secured in such a way did not mean that she was free to do whatever she wanted with it.
Apparently, people just assumed that one wouldn’t just touch things. Now, Violet would have argued that this place was open to kids – who touched anything and anyone, all the time. But, sadly, her incredible arguments would just fall on deaf ears.

Hence, she sighed, before dusting off her white summer dress. Then, she looked about. People were already leaving. It was getting late. But she had paid full price to get into this place and so far, it had been rather boring. She would stay as long as possible, just so she felt that she had somehow gotten her money’s worth, anyway.

"What the fuck are you two doing? Use some actual fucking codenames, you stupid idiots!", Andrew asked over comms. They were addressing each other by their last names? What if someone was intercepting their conversation?

"Mr. Blue in position, standing by.", Andrew told the others over his bluetooth speaker.

For the time being, he was posing as a visitor of the Guild. His usual black mop of hair was neatly contained in a beanie, a pair of glasses were worn on his eyes. His lower face was covered with a face mask, one that was rated for polluted environments. He wore a long-sleeved shirt with a flashy design, something that would catch the attention of those who spotted him, taking attention off his face.

The infamous streamer was blending in with the rest of the crowd of the second floor of the Guild Headquarters. He looked around, trying to size up those in the crowd. He would notice the tall man with his hood up. Considering that his backup in the crowd was a tall woman, this raised an eyebrow.

Was he supposed to be with them, or was there another party attempting to hit the place?

The girl checking out the Kecleon statue seemed to be familiar.

Out of all the Rockets present, Vivienne was taking this mission the least seriously. Perhaps she believed she was above this kind of work and decided to be overly casual out of spite. More likely she just finds work more fun when it doesn't have to be so damn serious.

Vivi stood out like a sore thumb in here, being a seven foot tall giant in an weirdly extravagant sundress and large floppy hat. She had a black fabric mask on, you know like one of those masks you wear to avoid germs, and hid her striking eyes behind circular sunglasses. As the other grunts checked in, Vivienne would respond last.

"Milky Mother signing in. Ready to play when you are." Vivienne chose her nickname on the fly, purposely making it ridiculous to poke fun at the demands of Andrew Fisher. She browsed the base solemnly, picking up a particularly strange looking plant. Beside it was a sign that said in large black letters 'Do not touch'

This didn't sit right with him, but the job was just that, the job. If he didn't do it at this point someone else would, better him to hold the weight. The mix of anger and sarcasm on the comms served to calm the rocket, a reminder that if nothing else he wasn't alone in all this.

A number of devices had been placed inside the guild, the devices while small let out a frequency unique to bug pokemon apparently rocket had been developing these since their time in Kanto, It would enrage the pokemon and cause them to swarm the tower leaving ample time for the team to get their job done. The devices could only run for about 90 minutes individually a fair tradeoff for their size. By the time the ranger's realized what'd happened, the rockets would be long gone or so dictated the plan.

Miles would pull up his own half mask, its design was that of an Arbok its fangs particularly sharp in the illustration. It was the mask that determined his codename. "Viper to all. We know our roles we know the mission. We get in and we get out. Nothing fancy, nothing unnecessary, avoid combat if at all possible."

His fingers glide over the button and in a click, the synchronic humming would altogether stop leaving complete silence.

All at once, chaos would erupt. Bug pokemon of all sizes and species would swarm the tower all in an attempt to stop the frequency. Any poor soul unlucky enough to get in their way would be in for a fight. Rocket, League, Civilian it didn't matter.

"Mission Start."

And with that he too was off, calling forth an Aerodactyl the hooded rocket would make his way toward the guild from the skies.

Like the many before him, and surely the many after his hands were now stained.

Serena rolled her eyes but didn't do anymore. This wasn't some roleplay fantasy meet, this was a mission. They were on a secure channel. How did she know? Because she took precaution's to check, double-check, and triple check her lists. Santa didn't have shit on her when it came to making sure everything was in order.

"Mr. Blue in position, standing by." Serena felt her face shift into the meanest stale face she's ever adorned. All that fuss for some basic ass name like 'Mr. Blue'? Shaking her head she held back the sigh she wanted to release. No sense in brooding over the situation like some emo teenager. If they wanted to have fun, let them. Who cares, as long as they got the job done. "Milky Mother signing in. Ready to play when you are."

Serena stifled back laughter at this nickname. She took it back. Maybe she was salty for being yelled at earlier but with a name like that it made all of this worth it. The smile was still on her lips as she watched a few more of the base staff leave since things were closing down for the evening. "Viper to all. We know our roles we know the mission. We get in and we get out. Nothing fancy, nothing unnecessary, avoid combat if at all possible."

Cracking her neck she readied herself to make a dash for it. Luckily the training she'd been receiving with Gavin was paying off. She originally didn't enjoy the physical bit of training but now that she was here in this position, she had to say she appreciated Cillian Quinn 's forward thinking. It just further confirmed her right choice in picking him as her mentor.

Tapping the side of her ear to activate her earpiece, she spoke up, "Scorpion for me then." she replied simply. Was it creative like Milky Mother? No, but since she was a Scorpio and she didn't really care about her name in the first place, she figured something like this would work. "Mission Start."

That was the signal. Serena took off in a dash from her hidden spot towards the secret base. She knew the layout well enough that it took her no time to reach her entry point with no detection. She quickly released her Rotom and pointed to the camera's. Bolt took off to complete it's part of the mission. Once it was connected to the camera's, Serena would have eyes over the surveillance network via her phone. A few quick hacks here and there and she could disable the camera's current recordings and place the previous one's on loop.

This would allow her group time to search for what they needed without raising immediate alarm. However, they were working on a time limit. Footage could loop only for so long before someone took notice of it. After that was set up she checked her surroundings before entering the building through the ventilation shaft.

She was the only one really small enough to do so. It was a bit cliché but it worked all things consider. Once she was inside and she had managed to safely exit the shaft without detection she hid in the shadows and whispered on coms again. "Scorpion here, I'm in." Once the rest were in place then they could begin their search properly.

[attr="class","matias"]it doesn't take matias long to notice the sore thumb in the room. towering at seven foot tall and wearing a black mask, her presence screams to be noticed. it's only then that matias does a glance around the room and immediately notices the oddities. he takes a step towards one of them, but the sudden buzzing of bugs stops him.

glass breaks, windows smash, and chaos erupts.

a sudden flash of white immediately follows. matias braces himself against the swarm, teeth gritted, before swiping forward. "put them to sleep!" a gengar slinks into the shadows, snaking its way towards a hive of combees. its stark-red eyes pulses in a HYPNOSIS.

on the same floor, camouflaged against the wall, a kecleon pops out, skin changing in color, as it looks to swipe at Violet Fairbanks.

One moment everything was quiet, the next—

Holy shit what the flying fuck?!

Behind the shades, he felt his eyebrows go up incredulously—how in the name of all things holy AND unholy did a swarm of Bug-types suddenly start attacking the entire place?!

Chaos then broke out as people either tried to make a beeline for the exit or were being attacked by a whole bunch of bugs—

And then he saw something—headed towards one of the bystanders who was standing a little too close to one of the Kecleon statues that had—come alive.

Holy shit, whoa!

He knew he wasn’t going to make it in time across the room, considering how the chaos was literally pressing him against one of the few unscathed walls, but a quick flick of his wrist popped a Moon Ball to full size before a Lucario burst forward.

“Go get her out of the way!” was all he had time to say before raising his arms to protect from a swarm of angry, angry Combee that were headed his way.

The Lucario wasted no time, closing the distance between himself and the young lady (Violet Fairbanks) with several well-timed Extreme Speed bursts, before slugging a Meteor Mash punch at the Kecleon before it could sink its potentially dangerous claws into her face.

Okay, so the Kekleon statue was just that – a statue. But the true danger came from the hidden one behind her. It gave Violet just enough time to turn, after the initial confusion from the sudden start of the buzz wars, before it attacked her.
And no, she was not going to dignify that with a ‘clever girl’, no matter how appropriate that might have seemed. That would have required a lot more wit than she could muster. Instead, there was a yelp as she jumped. Not the kind of jump meant to dodge, but rather startled kind, straight into the Kekleon statue.

Only that wasn’t really a statue either. At least she wouldn’t call it that. Statues were firm, heavy, proper. This thing buckled over with her right away. Styrofoam? She couldn’t tell. But for all intents and purposes, it might as well have been that, even if it technically wasn’t. And either way, she fell, the oddly colorized claw coming down upon her.

Only it did not connect. There was a whoosh and a blur of motion, then suddenly a Lucario appeared in between them. Phew. But it had apparently also brought a swam of bug type Pokemon. A true trainer’s response would have probably been to pick one of theirs and fight. But she wasn’t one. Instead, the sudden sight surprised her even more, and she did the first thing that came to her actual mind: she scrambled to her feet, abandoning the Lucario to its fight – not like she could do much there anyway – and instead rushed towards the stair. Going up would probably help get away from this sudden madness. At least she might get a reprieve and have time to process all of this.

Tl;dr: is saved for now, runs away towards the stairs

"I'd love some milk from mommy right about now.", he thought to himself, upon hearing the tall beauty give her callsign. The fact that she didn't spew her real name over comms, no matter how "secure" it was, was appreciated. At this point, Andrew positioned himself near the stairs, ready to cut off the stairs down to the first floor.

Once the signal was given, Andrew deployed his Emboar, Salazzle, and Charizard. The Emboar would immediately stand to block off the stairway, using its big body. Meanwhile, the two fire lizards would stand by with their master, ready to fight. The Charizard let out a roar to get the attention of the civilians in the room.

"Everyone, get the fuck on your knees, and lock your fingers behind your fucking heads, or I'll burn you all alive!", Andrew bellowed into the room with surprising menace, his voice muffled by the mask he wore.

It was then that he "recognized" one of the staff. He looked similar to one of his "detractors." Was it actually him? Who cares, this would be like therapy to him.

"You, get your ass over here!", Andrew grunted, before pulling the unfortunate man to the ground. He would begin to violently kick the man in the ribs repeatedly. "Eat this, you fucking piece of shit! You fucking cocksucker!", Andrew yelled, as he got into his violent frenzy.

[attr="class","matias"]despite the unbridled chaos all around them, matias remains calm, his heart beating at a rate most comfortable. he takes a moment to assess, notice, before reaching out for one of the guild workers. the man, clearly in a state of panic, struggles, but his grip only tightens as a charizard lets out a roar.

"calm down, i'm here to help. look at me — i need to know what they're after so i can stop them. do you understand?" the worker trembles, but nods. he points towards the stairs that lead to the third floor. "good. stay low to the ground and try not to get in the way."

a flash of white encapsulates the area, summoning a blastoise. matias points to the fire-type near the stairway, then rises to his feet the moment a HYDRO PUMP leaves blastoise's cannons. strong torrents of water soar across the room, one targeting the roaring charizard, while the other Andrew Fisher.

"i need those with able pokemon to fight! protect those who can't! don't surrender — resist them, fight them, and i promise you we will win!"

being the center of attention singles him out, makes him a target, but he's prepared for it. he has been since he arrived.
